338 The Cursed Coffin

You may all know the legend about the "Curse of the Pharaoh" in Egypt. But a similar incident also occurred in the Ming Tombs in Beijing, China.

It is said that near each tomb in the Ming Tombs area there is a village with the same name as the tomb, such as Dingling Village, Xianling Village, etc. Most of the villagers are descendants of the tomb-keepers who have passed down the generations. This matter is known locally.

A household name.

Of the Ming Tombs, only Dingling has been excavated. During the Cultural Revolution, the remains of the emperor and empress could not escape their fate. They were thrown out of the coffin by the Red Guards, and the coffin was thrown into the ravine from the treasure city. Someone locally picked up these broken tombs.

Since the wood was made of precious golden nanmu, one family planed away the rotten parts on the outside to reveal the solid and delicate wood. They were so delighted that they used it to make a set of large bed cabinets, and claimed that they were made of the emperor's wood.

Making gold nanmu coffins as furniture for yourself will bring great "good fortune". But at that time, some people raised objections, thinking that not only would there be no "good news", but on the contrary, it would bring bad luck.

This family had four children, all of whom were underage at the time. One day, three of them were playing on the big bedside cabinet. Suddenly, they all fell into the cabinet. The door of the cabinet closed unexpectedly, and the three children were suffocated to death.

In the cupboard.

However, the matter was not over yet. Many years later, the only surviving child grew up and went to college. Everything seemed fine, and people seemed to have forgotten the bad luck caused by lying in the closet.

One summer vacation, the child went home to reunite with his parents. One day, the old couple went to work in the fields, leaving the child alone at home. When they returned home, the child was already dead on the cabinet. The cause of death was unknown.
