Chapter 48: I'm Not Trying To Play A God, I'm Trying To Play A Human Being(1/2)

Tony stood in front of the remains of the large glass tank in the holding area in trance for a long time, until Steve walked in and asked, "Is he married?"

"No." Tony said firmly, "I have a girlfriend who seems to be a cellist."

"What a shame, he looks pretty good," Steve said.

"He is just a fool." Tony said, "He shouldn't face Loki alone, he should wait for support!"

Steve shook his head, "Sometimes there's just no other way, Tony."

"Yes, these words sound familiar." Tony sneered and passed by Steve.

"Is this the first time you have lost a comrade?"

Tony stopped, looked at him and said word by word: "We are not soldiers!"

"I will not take orders from Nick Fury."

"Neither will I," Steve said. "He should also be responsible for the crimes committed by Loki, but we have to put these aside first and fight against foreign enemies together, just like what Moan said before."

Tony suddenly seemed to understand something, "He turned the war into a personal vendetta..."

Steve thought he was still talking about Nick Fury, so he couldn't help but said: "That's not the point..."

"No, this is the point, this is Loki's purpose." Tony's eyes gradually brightened, "Why did he come straight to our lair? Why?"

"To defeat us?" Steve asked tentatively.

"Yes, it is indeed a clever plan to disperse and defeat us, but he knows that we are a stumbling block to his great cause, right? This is what he wants! He wants to defeat us, and he also needs someone to watch him win."

Tony smashed his fist into his palm, "He wants the audience, and Loki is the protagonist of this premiere."

"He wants people to give him flowers, and he wants to show off everywhere. He wants a towering monument with his name engraved on it..."

Tony was suddenly stunned.

"son of b**ch."

He ran out of the holding area.

At the top of Stark Tower, Selvig was making final adjustments around a strange device.

Steve, who had put on his battle uniform, found Natasha and Thor, "It's time for us to leave."

"Where to go?" Natasha asked.

"Tell me on the way."

...

In the headquarters, Nick Fury stood on the transparent glass floor, looking through the deck in his hand.

Agent Hill on the side said: "Sir, I did not find Agent Coulson's medical records in the background, nor did I find his body, but these cards were all carried by Coulson..."

"Moan is right." Nick Fury held up his deck, "We need to give them some illusion of sacrifice in exchange for their motivation to move forward."

Through the glass floor, Nick Fury saw a point of light flashing with black flames and a Quinjet flying out from under the mothership.

"They found him."

Putting away his deck, Nick Fury ordered to Hill: "Do whatever you can to repair the communication. I want to monitor the overall situation."

"As you command, sir."

...

"Mo An, I don't understand."

"What don't you understand?"

"Weren't we in an emergency just now? Why did you go back to Manhattan..." Barton said while looking at Mo An who was busy scanning the coffee shop with a red light.

"You don't know how expensive firewood, rice, oil and salt are." Mo An rolled his eyes when he heard this, "There will be a war in Manhattan soon. I only have such a small amount of property, so I can't just get involved in it without knowing anything."

"Okay Wanda, it's okay to stay in the coffee shop now, but you can't run out out of curiosity when the time comes." Mo An said softly, hugging his little girlfriend whom he hadn't seen for a long time.

Wanda nodded obediently in his arms.

"When I get back, I will help you and your uncle awaken. I don't know much about chaos magic, but I can send you to someone who knows magic to learn. Don't worry, it's very close to our home."

"Then I'll wait for you to come back." Wanda kissed Mo An, and Barton slowly turned around.

After the tenderness, Moan said goodbye to Wanda, and walked slowly towards Stark Tower with Barton.

Seeing Team Loki guarding the gate from a distance, Moan nuzzled at Barton, "I'll leave it to you."

Barton was stunned, "You just let me do this after you got me out?"

"Why don't we give you a chance to go on the battlefield? It's just a small test now, and we have to go to the top floor and fight all the way up. Do you think it's easy?" Mo An said firmly.

"...Okay." Barton sighed softly, took out two arrows from the quiver, and shot them casually, and the two members fell to the ground.

"Correct." Mo An whistled and smiled.

...

Tony drove the Black Light Generation, which was messed up by the rotor of the mothership's engine, flying back to Stark Tower.

"Sir, I have shut down the Ark reactor, but that device is already self-sustaining."

Looking at Selvig standing in front of the Cosmic Cube device, Tony said: "Turn it off, Dr. Selvig."

"It's too late!" Selvig laughed. "We can't stop her now. She has something to show us, a new universe."

"Okay." Tony ignored it and fired two palm cannons at the Cosmic Cube, but the energy barrier around her directly bounced the palm cannons back, causing Tony to stagger.

It also knocked Selvig into the air and knocked him unconscious.

"That is a pure energy barrier that cannot be broken." Jarvis said at the right moment.

"I see." He turned his head and looked at Loki below, "We have to find another way."

"Sir, Blacklight II cannot be called yet."

"Then abandon the spinning rim, we don't have time."

Tony slowly landed on the round platform, took off his battle-scarred Black Light Generation, and slowly walked indoors.

Loki saw this and walked in from the other side.

Downstairs, Moan heard the noise and looked up. Through the tall buildings, he saw Loki confronting Tony, "Hey, Barton, if you don't hurry up, the show will be over."

"It doesn't hurt your back when you stand and talk, right?!" Barton's bow string was almost smoking. When he heard that Mo An was still making sarcastic remarks, he suddenly became angry.

"Why did I get so excited and write you a note at that time?" Mo An held his forehead and sighed.

"Shut up!!" Barton's attack speed became faster.

Mo An pinched Barton's shoulder with one hand, opened the biological force field, smashed the glass of the building, and flew upwards.

On the top floor, Loki walked slowly not far from Tony, "Are you here to beg me for mercy?"

"Um...Actually, I'm here to scare you." Tony walked to the wine cabinet and picked up a bottle of wine, "Would you like a drink?"

Loki smiled and said: "It is useless to delay."

"No, no, it's just a bluff." Tony opened the wine cork and poured a little into the glass, "You really don't want to drink? I'm going to have a drink."

Loki walked to the floor-to-ceiling window at this time, "The Chitauri army is coming, no one can even think about it..."

"Don't even think about it?"

A dark shadow suddenly fell on the terrace outside, separated from Loki by only a piece of glass.

Loki was startled, took half a step back, but then forced himself to stand still.

Letting go of Barton, whose legs were already a little weak and unsteady, Moan asked him to go to Tony's place, while he directly broke the glass and walked to Loki, "Tell me, no one can think of anything?"

"It's you again, Mo An..."

Loki gasped in anger, "It's like this in Asgard, and it's like this on Earth!"

"Enough! Who do you think you are?!"

"I am the true God! And you are just pretending..."

Moan punched Loki away, then held his head down and banged him on the ground. Suddenly, the sky was filled with dust and smoke, and Loki was like a stick of ramen dough being kneaded by a ramen master.

Tony and Barton watched this scene and couldn't help but lightly cover their eyes with their hands.

It's too awful.

At this time, the Cosmic Cube outside suddenly burst out with a powerful energy, shooting straight into the sky, and slowly opened a portal.

"Ha...haha...Moan, in the end, I won, and the Chitauri army is about to arrive!" Loki, who was dizzy from the hammer, smiled slightly weakly.

"You know, Loki, you have made one mistake from the beginning to the end."

Mo An's entire eye sockets gradually turned pitch black, and black light mist slowly flowed around him.

"I'm not trying my best to play god, I'm trying my best to play human."

He suddenly rose into the air, and just as the first Chitauri soldier flew out of the portal and was about to start a killing spree, Moan, who was approaching instantly, crushed his head and exploded it.

The next few soldiers met the same fate. They also thought about fighting back, but the biological weapons they were proud of could not cause him any harm at all.
