Chapter 008 Undercurrent

Fu Yunting looked out through the half-opened car window. He held a cigarette between his fingers, and it was half dark.

The gaze that fell on Ning Ye was still calm and seemed to have intensity.

For some reason, Ning Ye suddenly remembered the way he pinched her jaw and spoke to her in the hospital.

Those eyes obviously don't have much fluctuation, but they seem to be able to suck people into a bottomless whirlpool, making people tremble with fear.

And the hand holding the person's jaw was slender and powerful, like an iron bone.

Ning also felt that his jaw was now showing signs of pain and fever.

But soon, she had no time to think more. Over there, Fu Yunting had already opened the door and got out of the car with a "pop" sound.

The highly customized leather shoes stepped on the asphalt road, making a faint echo in the air, and they were getting closer and closer to Ning Ye.

Every step was like stepping on Ning Ye's nerve cells.

Ning also wanted to step back a little bit.

Fu Yunting probably noticed her move, and stood one meter away from her, looking at her condescendingly, and his eyes fell on the backpack on her shoulder.

In the darkness, his figure looked even more majestic and upright.

"It's so late, where are you going?"

"Go to a classmate's house."

"Ning Ye."

Fu Yunting's voice deepened: "Tell the truth."

Ning Ye was surrounded by Fu Yunting's aura, which made her feel cramped and oppressed.

"I am telling the truth."

"What are you doing so late?"

Ning Ye stood silently.

Fu Yunting still had a cigarette on his finger. He flicked the ashes and glanced at Ning Ye: "Which classmate's house you go to, I'll see you off."

"My taxi has arrived."

"On this road." Fu Yunting's tone did not change. He was still calm and steady, but he was unyielding and forceful. It was like the eyes falling on her: "I can't get a taxi at this late hour."

Ning also squeezed the backpack in his hand.

Fu Yunting said: "Get in the car."

After saying that, he turned around and walked around the back of the car, walked towards the driver's seat, opened the door and got in the car.

Ning Ye was holding his cell phone in one hand and holding the backpack half slung on his shoulder with the other. He stood still for a while, and the dormant black Cheetah was still parked there steadily.

Ning Ye finally got in the car.

She didn't dare to use Fu Yunting as the driver, and she was still sitting in the passenger seat.

Fu Yunting glanced at her and said, "Put the things on the seat behind."

When Ning Ye left, she was actually a little confused. She just put a few sets of clothes in her backpack. She put her backpack on the back seat and fastened her seat belt obediently.

Fu Yunting didn't ask where she was going.

Ning also waited for a while, but still didn't hear his question.

She had no choice but to speak, her voice still soft and quiet: "Uncle, I really want to go to my classmate's house, you can just leave me on Shuguang Road."

Fu Yunting ignored her and started the car.

It was very quiet in the car, and Fu Yunting seemed very silent, but not the kind of silence that meant he didn't want to talk.

Instead, it seemed like he was thinking about something brewing.

Ning also dare not say more.

She wanted to ask Fu Yunting if he had told Mr. Fu about going to Jiang Ye, but she opened her mouth, but nothing came out.

From the corner of her eye, she could see Fu Yunting's profile, which was sharp and smooth, like a chisel.

Fu Yunting held the steering wheel with one hand and stretched out the window with the other. Finally at an intersection, in a suffocating silence, he took a puff of cigarette and suddenly said: "I was drunk that night..."
