Chapter 86: The Eve of the Hotel Trip
Martin and Vincent made some food in the new house and put all the food on the dining table. While eating, Vincent complained that the food Martin cooked was not delicious at all.
"Hey, it would be nice to have something to eat." Martin glanced at Vincent and said, "We often eat these things at our place."
"This is an alternative delicacy that I have tasted. However, it may be my first time eating it and I am not used to it yet." Vincent said while chewing the food in his mouth.
Martin stopped what he was doing and said, "Don't worry, you will fall in love with it in the future."
Martin continued: "I just saw Inspector Louis leaving the chief's house. I don't know what he went to do."
Vincent collected the food in his mouth and said, "Why didn't I see it?"
"You were upstairs," Martin said.
Vincent asked: "Is he going to the New Orleans Hotel? I don't want to meet him there later."
Martin replied: "I don't think so. Seeing him in a hurry, he must be looking for someone to repair the windows in the governor's house."
"It's best this way." Vincent continued to chew.
"Actually, you may have seen it, but you happened to want to ask Inspector Louis for help," Vincent said.
Martin asked in surprise: "Help? What help?"
"That dwarf you hate so much, who knows what he is doing in the hotel."
Vincent imagined that Walter Lu was still in the room, not yet getting up, or was doing something else with his arms around the beautiful girl.
"I actually forgot about this." Martin said, "Let's wait for a while, in case he really investigates and finds clues."
"According to Walter Rue's character, he will never listen to Inspector Louis, and there might even be a quarrel." Martin finished the food on the plate and leaned back in his chair.
"Yeah, it's hard to talk about it." When Vincent thought of Walter Lu's face, he couldn't eat anymore. He even felt sick.
Vincent wiped his mouth and said, "It would be best if we could start a quarrel. Then wouldn't we have a chance to go to the hotel to investigate openly?"
Martin looked at the plate in front of Vincent, leaving a small piece of meat. He needed Vincent to eat it all.
"Vinson, it's not good to waste food." Martin pointed at the plate and said.
Vincent touched his belly and said, "Martin, I really can't eat anymore. It's because you mentioned Walter Lu just now, so I can't eat anymore."
"No, don't transfer this matter to me. It was obviously you who brought it up, Vincent." Martin said, recalling the conversation just now.
"Is it really me?" Vincent said, looking into Martin's eyes.
"Of course." Martin shrugged.
Vincent spread his hands and said, "Oh, no, Martin, it was Inspector Louis you mentioned. You said he was out."
"Damn it, I forgot again." Martin patted his forehead and said.
"What happened to you today? Martin, your memory has never been so bad." Vincent said.
Vincent observed Martin carefully, suspecting that he seemed to have suddenly changed.
"Maybe I didn't get any rest." Martin rubbed his temples and said, "I can't put my finger on this feeling. What I'm sure of is that it must have something to do with my lethargic state last night."
"Okay, don't think so much, we can leave for the hotel."
"I can not wait any more."
After Martin finished speaking, he stood up first, then came to the window and looked at Mill's house in the distance. He really wanted to see what Ruili and Matilda were doing in the chief's house, and whether they treated the chief.
"I seem to have forgotten, what is our excuse for going to the hotel?" Vincent then stood up and asked.
"If we go to stay in a hotel, will the hotel owner not welcome us? If he refuses, then his hotel may not be able to stay here for long." Martin turned around and said.
"It's Walter Lu, he should ask." Vincent said.
"If it weren't for the sake of the chief and Inspector Louis, I would have wanted to slap him a long time ago." Martin clenched his fists and said: "As long as he doesn't anger me, he can ask whatever he wants, and we will do it.
Just be mute."
Vincent nodded. He thought Martin's last words were right. He said, "This is indeed a good idea."
Martin looked away from Mir's window and said: "Let's go!"
