Chapter 25 Conscription

When the coalition government finally completed the merger and started to resume production and construction, a long-standing issue that the Expeditionary Force had placed on the table could finally begin, that is, recruitment.

Of course, it is not the recruitment of auxiliary troops. The coalition government is still in the recovery period. The recruitment of a large number of auxiliary troops will only affect production and construction. The Expeditionary Force is going to recruit Space Marines.

Although the Expeditionary Force had five Space Marine companies on the surface, their organization was not even half filled. Even the Shadow Moon Canglang, which had the largest number of people, only maintained the organization of a Holy Book Company, not to mention Dalian during the Great Expedition. Therefore, in order to improve the combat effectiveness of the Expeditionary Force, Horus will select more than 100 warriors on earth.

Surrounded by the company commanders, Horus came to the custody room deep in the Angel's Tears, where thousands of genetic seeds of different lineages were kept. Under the careful care of the pharmacist, these genetic seeds were maintained in the best condition.

Horus solemnly took out 275 gene seeds, 20 of which belonged to Shadow Moon Wolf, 60 of them belonged to Iron Warriors, 75 of them belonged to War Dogs, 50 of them belonged to the Dusk Attacker, and 70 of them belonged to the Emperor's Son. These seeds will be transferred to the Goliath Foundry, and the recruits who passed the selection and test will undergo modification surgery under the joint care of the Sage of Clesis and the Master of Potion.

After all, the genetic seeds of the Ashes Expeditionary Force are limited. Except for Shadow Moon Canglang, the genetic seeds of other lineages can only be obtained through slow growth, so the chance of success of the operation must be guaranteed.

When the order was issued to the coalition government, the deputies were startled, and they thought they were going to struggle hundreds of thousands of people. They finally calmed down after learning that they had only selected hundreds of people.

After learning that the elites were selected to become Space Marines, the top players in various units became active. Many of them had seen Space Marines. The powerful explosive gun and the strong power armor were enough to make many people excited.

Especially many of these elites are already alone because of beta. What they have in their hearts is only hatred for the aliens who harm humans. Being a space warrior and teaming for humans is also very attractive to them.

In a training ground in the Himalayas, elites from all countries gather here, including British sas, Soviet Alpha, French dragoons, and a sword from an Eastern power. The strongest soldiers of all mankind gather here, and what awaits them will be the death selection with a high elimination rate.

Company Commander Gavel Loken from Shadow Moon Cang Wolf came here in person to preside over the selection work. Generally speaking, as the adjutant of Horus, Loken would not participate in this type of work, but in order to highlight Horus's attention to recruitment work, he specially sent Loken to preside over it on his behalf.

Roken, wearing silver-gray armor, walked to the neatly ordered qualifiers who were standing. The 2.4-meter giant stood in front of the elites of 1.81.9 meters. Roken said to the qualifiers in front of him:

"I am responsible for the selection of recruits. I am Gaville Loken. I am very happy that there are so many outstanding people participating in the selection. But if you want to be us, the difficulties in this are unimaginable. We only need 300 new entrants, but there are more than a thousand people present, and there are thousands of other candidates in other camps on this planet. Only such selection can we select the warriors we want."

Loken looked around at the soldiers who were still standing still in the biting cold wind and nodded slightly. They were indeed elites of the coalition government.

"Very good. Now the first selection is to survive in the snow field." Then the selection officially began. This selection will last for a year, and 90% of the people will be eliminated. Only the remaining ten percent will be able to undergo genetic assays and implant suitable genetic seeds.

On the Angel's Tears, Horus was watching the privy players' every move through surveillance everywhere. Karen Val stood behind him and saw that some people had been eliminated, he suddenly asked:

"What are you going to deal with these eliminated people, repatriate them, or as a war team minion?"

"I plan to organize them into the auxiliary army and cooperate with various companies for training." Horus stood up and said:

"It's different now. I don't plan to build a pure Space Marine force. Each company will be expanded into a battle group in the future. In addition to Space Marines, the battle group will also have to be equipped with tens of thousands of mortal auxiliary troops with corresponding heavy equipment."

In Horus's view, the establishment of the Imperial Sacred Chapter was very effective in preventing large-scale rebellion, but this was at the cost of greatly weakening the combat effectiveness of the battle group. Perhaps the establishment of the Sacred Chapter is suitable for the Empire, but it is definitely not suitable for the Ashes Expeditionary Force.

In the future, Horus will establish a Space Marine Corps with five thousand Space Marines as the core and cooperate with tens of thousands of mortal auxiliary troops. Only such a battle group can better deal with diverse battles.

Joint training of mortals and spacemarines can also allow Space Marines to better integrate into mortals, which is also in line with Horus' wishes.

Just as Horus was thinking about the future of the battle group, the arrival of the Sage of Clesis interrupted Horus's random thoughts. The mechanical sage came to report on the recent research results.

"Mr. Horus, our Mechanical Society has achieved considerable results in the research on the g element. Through the g element, we have been able to manufacture gravity weapons, and using g element to strengthen the reactor will greatly improve the energy supply efficiency. There are also anti-gravity vehicles..."

Before the sage of Clesis finished speaking, Horus signaled him to pause.

"Okay, my great sage, please list the techniques we can use in a table for me. Our resources are limited and we can only put them into production on some projects."

"There's another thing," Horus said seriously to the mechanical sage who had been transformed more than 90 percent of his body:

"I have opened the door to a new world. According to my intelligence, this world is perfect for you, the Mechanical Society. I hope you, as a pioneer, build outposts for the Expeditionary Force."

"Very suitable?" The mechanical sage had some doubts.

"The penetration rate of mechanical implants in this world is very high, the technology level is also good, and it is very distinctive, but the situation there is special. The direct entry of the Expeditionary Force will cause adverse consequences, so I hope you can sneak into this world as an undercover agent, establish a foundation and provide intelligence and assistance to the Expeditionary Force. More specific intelligence is here."

After taking the data board, Klesis took the data board and saw keywords such as nuclear war, network, abominable intelligence, chips, implants, etc., he couldn't help but get interested.

"It's really interesting to hate intelligence." Lord Horus, I'm willing to go."

"Remember, try not to let them find clues as much as possible," Horus reminded.

"Of course, I will be careful." After saying that, Clesis walked out of the office with great enthusiasm and prepared to penetrate the work.
