Chapter 27 Proud Alice(2/2)
Kalaf shook his head and said: "I'm not tired, Lord, you can give me the task now, but within the next seven days, I will not leave this wooden house."
Reggie smiled bitterly and said, "I didn't expect you to be such a stubborn person."
Batchelor smiled and said: "This magical potion is very important to him, it is related to the happiness of his life."
"A lifetime of happiness?" Reggie was puzzled by how much penicillin had to do with a lifetime of happiness. "Are your friends and family infected by bacteria?"
"What bacteria are you talking about?" Batchelor looked at Reggie in confusion and asked tentatively, "Is this another kind of spell?"
"Why did you add the word 'and'? It's like I've recited a spell. As for the concept of bacteria, I can give you a brief introduction. Of course, you may have a little difficulty understanding it..."
While the two were talking, there was a sudden knock on the door. Before Batchelor could answer, a young woman opened the door and walked in.
"Teacher, I have just studied the sap of this plant. I can conclude that this plant is cursed by the devil and must be completely eradicated in Broken Snow City."
This is a very typical Norburg girl, with fair skin, turquoise eyes, a tall nose, and almost no strands of variegated blond hair. All of these features demonstrate her pure and noble bloodline.
She held a bouquet of datura flowers in her hand. The flowers bloomed very delicately. This was the plant she said was cursed by the devil. She was in a hurry to report the conclusions of her research, and did not notice Reggie's presence at all.
But she noticed Calaf, because Calaf was watching her secretly.
"What are you looking at?" The girl looked at Calaf fiercely, and Calaf quickly turned his attention elsewhere.
The girl was very angry. She gritted her teeth and said: "You reckless slave, if this were in my hometown, I would dig out your eyes!"
Calaf lowered his head in shame. He was about to apologize to the girl, but was stopped by Reggie.
"Grand Maester, this lady is..."
Batchelor quickly stepped forward and introduced: "This is my student, Alice Windsor. Alice, this is our lord, Viscount Victor."
Alice looked at Reggie, and she first noticed Reggie's turquoise hair, which was obviously a sign of impure blood.
There was a trace of contempt in her eyes, and although she tried her best to hide it, Reggie still noticed it.
She bent her knees slightly, saluted Reggie, and said, "Forgive me for being rude. Nice to meet you, Viscount Victor."
Reggie looked at Alice and said coldly: "I'm not happy to meet you, and I don't intend to forgive you, because you are so rude."
Alice was stunned, frowned and said to Reggie: "I don't understand what you mean. I don't think I did anything excessive."
"I was talking to my Grand Maester, who asked you to barge in?"
Alice said sullenly: "I think I knocked on the door."
Reggie frowned and said, "But you didn't get permission from me and the Grand Master. I suspect that you are a spy sent by the enemy. You eavesdropped on my conversation with the Grand Master!"
"This is really ridiculous, how could I be a spy," Alice pointed at Batchelor and said, "I am a student of the Grand Bachelor, and everyone here knows me!"
Calaf said from the side: "Lord, I don't think Miss Windsor meant it..."
"Shut up! Despicable slave!" Alice shouted angrily, "Who allowed you to speak!"
Despicable slave.
This sentence completely angered Reggie.
"Miss Windsor," Reggie said, "if you were really a bachelor's student, you shouldn't be so uneducated."
Alice said without fear: "What did I say wrong, Lord?"
Reggie said: "Kalaf is the best craftsman in Shattered Snow City. Why do you call him a slave? This is an insult to your personality. I can put you in a dungeon and make you do hard labor for at least a month!"
