Chapter 127 Downturn Radar

On December 22, the Spurs and Mavericks met for the second time this season. They are both Texas teams. They will meet four times this season.

This was different from the last time. The last time the Spurs had all the players together, except for Radar, who had a poor touch in the first half, everyone else performed very well, especially the performance of Spurs center Boltel.

The game started, the Mavericks starting lineup, JJ Barea, Hardaway Jr., Luka Doncic, Dwight Powell, Boban Marjanovic.

Spurs starting lineup, Radar, Patty Mills, Dejounte Murray, LaMarcus Aldridge, Jakob Bortle.

The Spurs took the lead in attacking, and Radar's nephew played the lantern - Aldridge was still given the opportunity to attack for the first time. Aldridge tried a mid-range shot and failed to hit it. However, Boltel was very active as soon as he beat the Mavericks and grabbed the first goal of the game.

A rebound is also the first offensive rebound.

The basketball was back in the hands of the radar again, a three-point shot was taken, and the home fans stood up and were ready to cheer.

But there was a "bang" sound, and Radar's three-pointer was rejected by the basket.

The fans in San Antonio sat down again. With Radar's usual accuracy of three-pointers, this three-pointer was easily scored. Maybe the Mavericks were poisonous and Radar was always inaccurate when hitting them.

Boban got the rebound and Doncic counterattacked. The Spurs still used the tactics from the previous game, defending the zone and preventing breakthroughs.

When Murray went to defend Doncic, he was also a little shorter. He relied on zone defense to block Doncic from the penalty area.

Doncic did not force a shot, and passed the ball to JJ Barea on the outside. After receiving the ball, 178 passed Mills and hit a three-pointer.

In the second round, Radar successfully assisted Bortle. The Spurs center knew that this might be his chance to start the last two games. As soon as Towns came, he would step aside and make way for someone else.

After the first quarter, overall, the Mavericks feel smoother, and Radar has also found the reason for his repeated misses. After experiencing teammates trading in the past two days, Wu Hao disappeared, and there were too many distracting thoughts in his mind.

The passion before.

Because of the distracting thoughts in my mind, I couldn't concentrate all my energy, and my shooting became inaccurate. There was also a mistake in the first quarter, and I only scored 2 points, 4 assists and 1 steal. This may be the best performance that Radar has played since entering the NBA.

Poor first quarter.

26 to 20, the Spurs trailed by 6 points.

Popovich told Radar at the end of the first quarter: "Ray, don't be affected by other things. I can assure you that the Spurs will not let you down, and I will not let you down, including Manu and Tim.

"

Radar nodded in agreement. It is true that the lag in the first quarter was his fault, and Radar did not apologize. Everyone has bad times, and it is normal to perform abnormally occasionally. We are all teammates, so apologizing seems hypocritical.

"In the second quarter, Lei, you continue to play. You need to find your touch. You can fire unlimitedly, I said so!" Popovich said to Radar domineeringly.

The Spurs really don't have many players now. Before the arrival of Danny Green and Towns, each of them may increase their playing time. In the second quarter, Murray, Radar, Carroll, Lyles, and Bolt continued to play.

.

Murray controls the ball, and Radar's task in this quarter is to find his touch and tie the score.

The Mavericks failed to hit in their first attack in the second quarter. Murray counterattacked and passed the ball to Radar, who then forced the shot in front of Doncic.

There was a "dang" sound, and the iron hit again. This time he couldn't even hit the mid-range shot, and Powell got the rebound.

The Lone Ranger attacked, and after three passes, Doncic hit a three-pointer.

Radar patted the ball and took a deep breath to calm himself down and stop thinking about messy things.

No matter which team plays the Spurs now, they will put their best defensive player to guard Radar. The Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo is like this, the Heat's Jimmy Butler is like this, and now Doncic is also guarding Radar. The position is not important.

, as long as the radar can be restricted during the confrontation, it is the best tactic.

Doncic still couldn't keep up with the radar, and was thrown away by the radar. He could only follow the radar and eat exhaust fumes.

Radar finally made a layup and scored his fourth point of the game.

However, the Mavericks' offense was still smooth in the second quarter. The AT&T Center Arena was like the Mavericks' home court, and it felt so good.

In the second quarter, Radar made 2 of 5 three-pointers and 3 of 6 two-pointers. This shooting rate is really...

Compared with ordinary players, a 40% three-point shooting rate and a 50% two-point shooting rate are already very good, but for Radar, this is the battle that hit rock bottom.

At halftime, the Spurs trailed by 12 points 55-43.

"I'm sorry everyone, my hands feel a little cold today." During the halftime break, Radar still said the words he didn't want to say to his teammates.

Forehead...

12 points in a single quarter. If you don’t know, people will definitely say it’s done by Radar. I apologize for such data, but Aldridge, Murray and others know the magic of Radar, so they won’t blame Radar.

"It's okay Lei, you have performed well enough, we still have a chance in the second half!" Ade comforted.

"Yes, Lei, you don't have to blame yourself, you are still the most handsome boy on the field. We believe in you, and you have to believe in yourself too!" Mills said.

Boltel said: "Ray, in my heart you are the MVP, you can do it!"

Listening to the encouragement from his teammates, Lida felt warm in his heart. He had to do something in the second half to change this cold feeling.

"Well, I won't give up. Let's defeat them together in the second half!" Radar clenched a fist with one hand and encouraged himself.

Ade, Murray, Mills, Radar and others are holding hands and cheering each other on. The Spurs are now divided, and they must unite as one.

The most important point for the Mavericks in the first half was Doncic. Without Rudy Gay, it would be difficult for the Spurs to limit Doncic's performance. And the radar must keep an eye on the Mavericks' other scoring point, Hardaway Jr.

Although the inside line guarded by Boltel and Ade, coupled with the zone defense, made it difficult for the Mavericks to break through, their three-pointers felt really good today, and they hit three more three-pointers than the Spurs at halftime.

In the second half, the game changed sides again. Radar led the Spurs' starting players to appear again. Doncic received a pass from Seth Curry and shot directly from the mid-range, opening the point difference to 14 points.

Spurs fans are a bit mischievous. What happened to Ray today? Why are they so sluggish? Will the Spurs be brought back to their original shape?
