Chapter 171 Guanyin Temple

Suddenly I met Mrs. Sai, but she didn't see Jiangnan beside her, which was a bit strange.

The breeze is gentle today, and I enjoy hiking with someone to bully me. Xia Shang handed me over: "It's not to pray for blessings, it's just to find someone."

"What a coincidence, the women of the common people are also looking for someone. In that case, why not do it as before?"

"Very good."

As they spoke, Xia Shang, Xiaoyue, Mrs. Sai, and Xiaoqing walked together, following the long flow of people up the mountain little by little.

Mrs. Sai's face was pale and she looked at her plump breasts calmly and asked some questions casually.

"I heard from General Jiangnan that Mr. Xia was robbed by bandits and came back after a lot of trouble. Is there any danger?"

Xia Shang raised his hand: "That's it.",

Mrs. Sai took a look, and saw that Xia Shang was injured and frowned slightly. The concern in her eyes flashed, but she said no more.

The two of them walked from the foot of the mountain to the mountainside for half an hour, exchanging a few words.

I don’t know why, it feels like they haven’t seen each other for a long time, and the two of them seem to be a lot stranger, but I can also feel that Mrs. Xia Shang seems to be a little different from others, as if there is a kind of closeness that is not like others. The vague smell makes people feel comfortable, OK

I didn’t feel tired even when I arrived at the Guanyin Temple.

Mrs. Sai seemed to have made an appointment with someone, and she left him with a few hasty words at the temple gate.

When Xia Shang saw Mrs. Sai walking away, he took out a small piece of paper with the judgment written on it from his sleeve.

I came to Guanyin Temple today firstly to see how my wife is doing, and secondly because I want to hear how to interpret the verdict on the small note?

"Dong...dong..."

A low bell sounded from the temple, coming from nowhere, like the breath of a mountain god, so deep that it made people feel clear and clear.

Looking at the sun, it should be time for the masters in the temple to have their fast meal.

The pilgrims who were preparing to pray at the entrance of the temple couldn't help but sigh, because the meal time in the temple was very long, a full hour, during which all activities in the temple were suspended except for offering incense to the Bodhisattva.

The Guanyin Temple should be more than just the Guanyin Temple. The Buddhist wall surrounds the mountainside and frames an unknown landform. Temples and pagodas built one after another gather together to form a place of pilgrimage for secular people, and it has also become a place for monks near Yangzhou.

One of the most visited places. In the past, there was only one Guanyin Temple here. After nearly a hundred years of development, there are now 108 Buddhist temples dedicated to gods and Buddhas from all over the world.

The reason why it is still called Guanyin Temple is that everyone is used to it, and most people come here to worship the Bodhisattva.

Opposite Xia and Shang is the oldest Guanyin Temple. The temple gate is not big, and traces of many renovations can be seen, but it cannot cover up the traces of time.

Passing through the temple gate is a ten-step stone staircase. On top of the stone staircase is a nearly 200-square-meter chanting platform. Hundreds of futons are neatly displayed on the platform. Dozens of pilgrims are sitting on it, listening to the half-hundred-person chanting platform.

The Zen master knocked on the wooden fish to spread the sound of Zen.

"Master, this is the lunch tradition of Guanyin Temple. The masters eat their meal and the pilgrims listen to Zen here. Should we sit here?"

The old Zen master in the sky couldn't read the sutra clearly, and he didn't know what he was reciting. He only felt that there were mosquitoes in twos and threes "buzzing" in his ears, which made people very troubled.

Xia Shang couldn't even hear it. What kind of temperament did Xiaoyue have to say such a thing?

"I can't understand a single word of this mumbling. You, a naughty girl, still listen to this? Don't you find it annoying?"

"Young master, don't say such nonsense! Madam said last time, don't speak filthy words. There are Bodhisattvas everywhere here. If you don't listen to them, your wishes will not be fulfilled."

Xiaoyue spoke in a clear and decisive manner. Xia Shang smiled bitterly and kept shaking his head: "That's all, I won't say anything anymore. But I would rather go to the temple to burn incense."

Behind the chanting platform is the door of the temple, and there are still a few pilgrims coming in and out.

There is a little master guarding the incense at the entrance of the temple. There are different types of incense, ranging from ten cents to ten taels of silver.

After everyone came, Xia Shang also wanted to go in and have a look, so he bought a set of incense and went inside to light it for the Bodhisattva.

There is nothing special inside the temple and the space is very small. However, the statue of Guanyin enshrined in it is extremely lifelike and rare in the world.

Xiaoyue was waiting outside, and after the young master came out after offering incense, he came forward and said: "Master, Xiaoyue went to inquire, but she doesn't even know where the lady is. Many masters in charge are eating, and it looks like they have to wait a while."

Xia Shang nodded and looked around, realizing that he had nothing to do, so he would just visit the temple and treat it as a trip.

There are also many pilgrims who come to visit. Some young monks are walking through the crowd holding various Buddhist beads. When they see people, they say that if they buy Buddhist beads, they will be blessed by the Bodhisattva and so on.

Xia Shang caught a young monk and gave him some scraps of silver, not to buy Buddhist beads, but to ask him to be a tour guide and tell him about the scenic spots of Guanyin Temple.

The young monk was very happy and took Xia Shang through many temples starting from the old Buddhist hall, explaining the origin of each Buddhist hall and some legends about gods and Buddhas.

Xia Shang didn't feel cold after hearing it, but Xiaoyue listened with great interest.

After walking for half an hour, the three of them returned to the old Guanyin Temple.

The old Zen master on the chanting platform was still preaching, but Xia Shang had already walked around the entire Guanyin Temple.

After a round of understanding, Xia Shang felt that the young monk was familiar with everything here, so he asked him about the signing.

I learned from the young monk that only incense can be offered in the old Guanyin Temple. To get your fortune signed, you have to go to the newly built Grand Guanyin Temple, where there are more people and there is a master who specializes in interpreting fortunes.

Xia Shang took out the small piece of paper: "Little Master, how do you understand this sentence?"

"Reiner your horse and come straight here with a whip, half worried and half disaster. Just like a house being burned down by fire, and rain falling from the sky." The young monk muttered, shaking his head in a dignified manner, "No, no, no! This is not the case.

It’s a good sign.”

"How to say?"

The young monk scratched his head: "I don't know."

"Thank you then. Let's go to the Guanyin Temple to have a look."

Xia Shang was about to leave, but the young monk held him back: "Hey, hey, hey! I said I didn't know, but I didn't say I didn't know how to solve it. Give me another five coins and I will tell you how to solve it.

"

"Oh? Little Master also knows how to crack it?"

"That's natural!"

Five cents of silver was not much, so Xia Shang gave the young monk five cents of silver.

Holding the silver, the young monk smiled happily and said, "The two donors come with me."

Not far outside the temple, facing the main road up the mountain, there is a path shaded by trees. It is hidden among dense forests and is difficult to detect. The road is covered with gravel and moss. There is heavy moisture in the darkness. It is obviously very rare.

Someone walked by.

The young monk pointed to this road: "Two donors, this road is called the Eighteen Bends. There are eighteen bends from the mountain pass to here. The terrain is undulating and it is very difficult to walk. If you want to eliminate disasters, you can start from this road.
