Chapter 197: Fa Ming seeks the law
Buddhist exercises take longer than Taoist exercises.
After Fa Ming led everyone to finish their morning lessons, Ling Qing and the others had already finished their homework.
I was standing aside watching everyone doing their work.
"Brother Taoist, you are polite."
When he saw that his homework was over, he was about to go to the contemplation, but suddenly he heard Fa Ming calling him.
Lingqing came up and sat down with him under the big tree next to the pagoda and asked him.
"I wonder what's going on, brother?"
Faming stopped the Buddha beads that were spinning in his hand, looked at him and said.
"Although it is a bit presumptuous, I would like to ask Brother Taoist about your nectar-purifying method.
I wonder if my brother is willing to bear it?
Of course, the Buddha still had to recruit some personnel to spread the Dharma, so a poor monk would naturally not seek Brother Tao's secret teachings in vain.
The poor monk here has a "Golden Lotus Contemplation Method of Eight Treasures Merits", and I would like to use this method to do personal things..."
As he spoke, he took out a booklet from his arms and handed it to Lingqing.
Lingqing couldn't help being a little surprised when he heard his request to ask about the method of nectar purifying karma.
Seeing that he had even prepared the Dharma method, I couldn't help but take it out of curiosity.
Contemplation is based on contemplation and thinking. There are many methods in both Taoism and Buddhism.
There are also profound methods in his Yiqi Zhenjing, but they are not in this foundation building chapter, so now he only has some ordinary methods.
For example, the method of contemplating the spiritual talisman that he passed on to Xiaoqian and others was a method based on one's own spiritual talisman combined with some superficial visualization principles.
It's just that the effectiveness of his method still depends entirely on the magic of the magic talisman.
After flipping through the first few pages, Lingqing had a rough understanding of the "Golden Lotus Contemplation of Eight Treasures' Merit and Virtue".
Buddhist Kung Fu has always been good at cultivating the mind, and this method is no exception.
The main purpose is to visualize a golden lotus with eight treasures of merit, which not only has the power of concentrating and protecting the body, but also can achieve the fruits of merit.
It is divided into Eight Merits and Virtues Water Contemplation, Seven Treasures Pond Contemplation, Golden Lotus Dharma Appearance Contemplation, etc., which can be practiced separately or combined into one.
The concepts are not bad, including the sixteen Buddhist contemplations of sun thinking, water thinking, earth thinking, treasure pond, flower throne and other related methods.
Although it cannot save the world, it is a supreme method that can save oneself.
As for his own nectar-purifying method, he accidentally obtained it by trying to integrate his own methods.
Moreover, this method has a single function and many limitations.
Although it was a blend of the three concepts he practiced, its foundation was just a nectar purification talisman, and he had never valued this method very much.
Seeing that he was willing to use such methods in exchange, I couldn't help but curiously asked.
"Pindao's method is not as profound as yours. I don't know why I value it so much."
"Amitabha, Taoist brother is too modest. Although the Dharma of this poor monk is profound, it can only save one person."

Faming put his hands together and raised them in front of his chest in a slight salute.
"Although Taoist brother's method seems superficial, it can save tens of thousands of people."
After he said it, Lingqing suddenly understood.
Whether it is shallow or profound, it just depends on what everyone values differently.
He possesses the skills of a heavenly immortal, so he naturally looks down on such simple skills that have been cultivated to the highest level but are no more than an introduction to ghosts and immortals, calling them shallow.
But practicing the Dharma of Dharma clearly and helping people to be kind is the greatest merit for Buddhism.
What he values is that its threshold is low, it is easy to spread, and the most important thing is that it can save people from the worry of their own sins.
As long as a person is dedicated to doing good, he will be able to cleanse his sins in the future, and there is no need for inner demons to cause trouble.
In this way, it can be said that once you get it right, you don't have to be implicated in cause and effect, and your merits are huge.
"In this case, Master doesn't feel that he is at a disadvantage, so it doesn't matter if he changes it."
After thinking about it, Ling Qing accepted the matter.
He doesn't have much prejudice against Taoist and Buddhist concepts, and he doesn't have any ill intentions towards other people's good intentions.
After all, in his view, everything is natural and Tao.
The reason why I haven't meditated on the Diamond Sutra is because I haven't reached the mastery of spiritual practice yet and I can't separate my mind.
To practice, you need to understand the unity of action and action. You not only need to know it, but you also need to be able to do it.
However, how is it that he can fully understand and practice all the mysteries of the Great Dao?
For him now, he only works within his own rules and moves forward step by step in a down-to-earth manner.
It’s not too late to draw parallels after you have achieved something, and it’s not too late to study other methods.
In this way, one day we will be able to know everything and do everything.
At that time, all heavens and all realms will be used as symbols, as Dharma, as Tao, and as nature, and everything will be fine.
Three thousand creations are in my heart, and I have created three thousand ways by myself!
"Thank you, Brother Dao!"
Fa Ming naturally knew that he agreed to the exchange not because of his profound skills.
No matter how profound your own method is, it is not as profound as the Diamond Sutra in the pagoda next to you.
Since people can give up the Diamond Sutra, they naturally don't value his method too much.
He was able to agree to the exchange, presumably not only because he didn't attach much importance to the method, but also to fulfill his merits.
Therefore, Fa Ming felt grateful and bowed again.
"There is no need to do this. The master has such merit and virtue, but a poor person can't think of it.
Even though I feel ashamed, I should do my best if I need it."
Seeing him like this, Lingqing quickly helped him up.
Then he told him all the secrets of the nectar purification method, calligraphy talismans, mindfulness, etc.
Of course, when it comes to one's own fundamental method, one can only express one's ideas and let others think instead.
His method is inherently simple, so as long as the original intention is not lost, there is nothing that cannot be replaced.
Even the nectar karma purification talisman, if Fa Ming has a better talisman to replace it, it will not be impossible.
It wasn't until he explained the key points thoroughly that Ling Qing picked up the book on the method of visualization.
It's not that he doesn't value the method of contemplation given by Fa Ming. Rather, it should be said that he is quite happy in his heart.
Precisely because this method is not as profound as the Diamond Sutra, it has no impact on his own practice, but it has some benefits.
After all, this method can be turned into aura, which can be used to fill up his Tao foundation and make up for his current lack of mind cultivation skills.
His Yi Qi Zhen Sutra naturally includes mind-cultivation techniques such as visualization, but it will not be extensively involved until the foundation is successfully established and Qi training begins.
Nowadays it's just some common tricks.
For him, the Buddhist concepts of the Diamond Sutra are too important, but he has no ability to turn them into Tao to benefit himself.
Secondly, after understanding this method of contemplation, you can also use its concepts and combine it with the method of nectar purification of karma.
Upgrade the concept of spiritual talismans that I taught Xiaoqian and others before.
I didn't think carefully when I taught the method before. The two methods were too separated and scattered without a system.
Now is the time to take this opportunity to merge the three methods into one method.
I think that Lingqing is very good at this, and now he has initially got on the right track with the integration of his three methods.
Not to mention such a simple method.
After he finished reading it, he asked Monk Faming for advice on some difficult questions.
