No two leaves are really the same, even though everyone grows on the same tree.

Freddy's left is Aphrey, Leaf on the right is Ban, and above his head is the cute girl Clay.

They grew up together and learned to dance when the spring breeze blows, bask in the sun lazily in summer, and occasionally take a clean bath when there is a cool rain.

Freddy's best friend is Daniel.

He is the largest leaf on this branch, and it seems that it grew before other leaves came.

Freddy also felt that Daniel was the smartest.

Daniel told everyone that they were all part of the big tree, saying that they grew up in the park, saying that the big tree had strong roots buried deep underground.

In the morning, the birds singing on the branches, the stars, moon and sun in the sky, and the changes in the seasons. No matter what, Daniel has a set of reasons for explaining it.

Freddy thought it was great to be a leaf.

He likes his branches, his light leaves, his friends, his home hanging high in the sky, the wind that pushes him around, the sun that makes him warm, and the moon that sprinkles gentle and white figures on him.

Summer is particularly good.

Freddy likes long and hot days, while warm nights are best for dreaming.

That summer, many people came to the park.

They all came to Freddy's tree and sat there to enjoy the cool air.

Daniel told him that giving shade is one of the purposes of leaves.

"What is purpose?" Freddy asked.

"It's the reason for existence!" Daniel replied: "Making others feel comfortable is a reason for existence. It's a reason for existence to shade the elderly and not have to hide in the hot house. It's also a reason for existence. Let the children have a cool place to play, and use our leaves to fan the people who are picnic under the trees... These are all the purposes of existence!"

Freddy likes the old man the most.

They always sit quietly on the cool grass, almost motionless.

They whispered, recalling the past.

Children are also fun, although they sometimes dig holes in the bark or carve their own names.

However, it is still very satisfying to see the child running so fast and laughing so much.

But Freddy's summer is over soon.

On one night in October, summer suddenly disappeared.

Freddy had never been so cold, all the leaves were trembling cold.

A thin layer of white stuff draped over them, and the sun immediately melted when it came out, turning into crystal dew, making everyone wet.

It was Daniel who told them again: They had just experienced the first frost in their lives.

Autumn is here, and winter is not far away.

In a blink of an eye, the entire tree and even the entire park were dyed with bright colors, and there were almost no green leaves.

Affrey turned dark yellow, Ban became bright orange, Claire was fiery red, Daniel was deep purple, Freddy himself was half red and half blue, mixed with golden.

How beautiful!

Freddy and his friends turned the whole tree into a rainbow.

"We are all in the same tree, why are the colors different?" Freddy asked.

"One of us is different! Our experiences are different. When facing the sun, the shadows cast are different, and of course the colors will be different." Daniel answered in his usual tone of "it's what it is" and told Freddy that this wonderful season is called autumn.

One day, something strange happened.

In the past, the breeze would make them dance, but on this day, the wind pulled the leaves and pushed them, almost as if they were angry.

As a result, some leaves were pulled off the branches, rolled into the air, scraped around, and finally fell gently on the ground.

All the leaves became scared.

"What's going on?" they murmured you and I'll ask you.

"That's how autumn is." Daniel told them: "It's time for Ye Zi to move. Some people call it death."

"Are we all dead?" Freddy asked.

"Yes." Daniel said: "Everything will die. Whether it is big or small, strong or weak. We do what we should do first. We experience the sun and the moon, wind and rain. We learn to dance, learn to laugh. Then we are going to die."

"I don't want to die!" Freddy said firmly, and then asked Daniel: "Will you die, Daniel?"

"Yeah." Daniel replied: "I'm dead when the time comes."

"When was that?" Freddy asked.

"No one knows what day it will be," Daniel replied.

Freddy found that other leaves were falling constantly, and he thought: "It must be their time."

He saw some leaves struggling and fighting with the wind before falling, and some leaves just put their hands down and fell quietly.

Soon, the whole tree was almost empty.

"I'm so scared of death." Freddy told Daniel: "I don't know what's down there."

"You will be afraid when you don't know, it's natural." Daniel comforted him: "But when spring turns into summer, you are not afraid. When summer turns into autumn, you are not afraid. These are natural changes. Why are you afraid of the season of death?"

"Will our trees die?" Freddy asked.

"Our tree is very powerful, but one day, the tree will die. But there is something stronger than the tree, that is life. Life is always there, and we are all part of life." Daniel said.

"Where will we go if we die?" Freddy asked.

"No one knows, this is a big secret!" Daniel looked up at the distance.

"Will we come back in spring?" Freddy asked again.

"We may not come back, but life will come back." Daniel was full of confidence.

"So what's the point of all this?" Freddy continued to ask.

"If we are going to fall and die anyway, why do we still come here?" Daniel replied in his usual tone of "it's what it is": "It's for the sun and the moon, for the happy time together, for the shade of trees, for the old and the children, for the colors of autumn, for the four seasons. Isn't these enough?"

That afternoon, in the golden sunshine of dusk, Daniel let go.

Daniel, he left without any struggle.

When it fell, he seemed to smile peacefully.

"So, goodbye for the time being, Freddy." He said calmly, smiling.

The next morning, it was snowing first.

The snow is very soft and white, but it is extremely cold.

There was almost no sunshine that day, and the day was particularly short.

Freddy found that his color faded, becoming dry and brittle.

It's been so cold all the time, and the snow feels so heavy when pressed on it.

In the early morning, a gust of wind took Freddy away from his branches.
