Chapter Eleven: An Unexpected Conversation

Snap!

The glass of wine hit the bright solid floor and broke instantly, with the glass fragments with wine splashing around.

In the huge study, Seth's face showed a ferocious look, leaned heavily on the leather chair, and his hands were hanging down weakly.

"Bad! This is the funniest joke I have ever heard in my life. One Dogus scared you all into quails. Are you all pigs?"

"Master, we are incompetent, please punish me."

Eight great swordsmen and the tall and thin housekeeper knelt down, and they were ready to welcome the fury of Seth Thunder.

"Get out! Take a look at me well, stay with Li Fu."

After the great swordsmen left, the tall and thin housekeeper walked forward respectfully, and his clothes were already soaked in sweat.

"Master, what are your instructions?"

"Friend Li, we all miscalculated. He is very smart. The hateful little fox must have happened to him." Seth said with a gloomy face and gritted his teeth.

"Master, do you think you should report this matter to them?" Li Fu did not dare to speak out and reminded in a low voice.

"Are you a pig? How can they say this? Li Fu, we cannot say that as a tool, once it loses its function, it will lose its value of existence. We must deal with this matter as soon as possible, and we must quickly!"

"Master, please tell me what should I do next?"

"You go to the law enforcement court and bring Lord Enoch's estate. Remember to bring more gifts to you." Seth reminded seriously.

"Master, I understand." Li Fu nodded solemnly.

It was almost noon when the down-and-out knight appeared on the street again, looking at the direction he was walking to the goblin tavern.

"Please get me a cup."

After a while, the man walked into the tavern. What was strange was that his knight sword disappeared. He was holding a bottle of wine in his hand. The first thing he said was to ask the woman for a cup.

"Where is your weapon?" The woman couldn't help asking.

The middle-aged man looked up at her and pointed at the bottle of wine: "Didn't you see it? I won't need weapons in the future."

The woman suddenly realized and quickly labeled the other party as an alcoholic in her mind. As a knight, her weapon was his second life. Unexpectedly, this guest would give it up easily.

"What else do you need?"

"Come some wheat cakes."

The middle-aged man drank a glass of wine and then slowly poured it on. He did not drink it immediately, but slowly closed his eyes, as if he was savoring the sweetness of the glass of wine.

A few minutes later, the woman whispered to the man, put down the plate, and then walked away.

For a moment, the tavern became extremely quiet. After half an hour, the woman did not see the man opening his eyes, and she could not even hear the other person's breathing.

"Sir, those people are really hateful. If you hadn't stopped me, I would have taught them a lesson."

"Yag is OK, this is normal. The town of Miral is pretty good. I fully feel its enthusiasm and malice."

"To be honest, I always feel that my eyes are looking at us with malicious intentions along the way. When I turn around, I disappear. You should be careful, sir."

"I know, the shock I gave them this time was great enough, and it depends on what will happen next."

"Sir, isn't this the goblin tavern that guy Doggs mentioned? I'm a little curious if there's a beautiful boss lady inside."

"I've been walking for so long and I'm tired, so go in and sit down."

As soon as he walked into the tavern, Rock's gaze was attracted by the man who was thinking. Yag behind him was exactly the opposite of him. The guy's gaze was captured by the woman at the counter.

"Welcome to the goblin tavern. What good days are there today? Day is not the best time in the tavern." The woman walked slowly gracefully as if she was bathed in spring breeze on her face.

Rock then looked up at the woman, then sat in front of a table next to the man. Just after he sat down, the man suddenly opened his eyes.

"The offering was detected!"

The sound in his mind made Rock involuntarily look at the man again, and a strange smile appeared on his face.

"Guest, what do you need to do?" The woman smiled and looked at Rock quietly.

"I don't know much about drinking, so you recommend a bar that suits me."

"I understand." The woman nodded and her eyes fell on Yag.

"So, what do you need, this guest?"

"Ah, I, I need a big glass of beer, thank you." Yag, who was distracted, responded hurriedly, and his eyes immediately did not dare to look at the woman.

"Please wait."

After the woman left, Rock spoke: "Sit down."

"Sorry, I'm distracted." Yag, who sat down in a panic, looked embarrassed.

"It doesn't matter, it seems that this boss lady is very attractive to you."

"Yes, what a beautiful woman."

Yag couldn't help but praise, with a fascination on his face, he was already deeply trapped in it.

"What's your name for young man?"

Hearing this sudden voice, Rock and Yag looked at the man at the same time.

Crack, smack.

The middle-aged man lowered his head and was chewing and eating wheat cakes slowly. After eating, he drank all the wine in his cup.

"Rock. Black Thorns."

After using his eyes to signal Yag to not act rashly, Rock introduced himself.

"A very good name. I feel like you are in trouble. Are those tails your pursuers?" the middle-aged man asked casually while pouring wine.

"That's right, it feels so uncomfortable to be stared at by others." Rock nodded and admitted, but was shocked.

At this time, the woman walked over with a plate.

"Please use it slowly, please call me any time if you need it."

After the woman walked away, Rock silenced the wine, and the man was the same until only the last glass of wine was left, and he stopped.

“Have you ever thought about change?”

"Of course, I call this a counterattack."

"Rock, then what do you think it means to be alive?" the man suddenly raised a strange question.

Yag, who was beside him, couldn't help but look at him, and wanted to respond but was stopped by Rock's eyes.

"Only by living there is hope, existence is the truth."

Hearing such an answer, the man looked at Rock carefully, then asked with a smile: "What if everything has no hope and no meaning?"

"Hope and meaning always exist. It depends on how you choose, whether you become a bud waiting to suck the morning dew, or make a sharp blade that pierces the dawn. If the night comes, dawn will come."

The man fell into deep thought, and the answer given by Rock surprised me. There seemed to be something strange in the tiger's eyes.

"Murdan, this is my name, a down-and-out cripple, I once betrayed my oath, and when the adults were in danger, I chose to protect my family."

"I was despised and humiliated, and my descendants cursed me. The knights chased me and finally watched my wife and daughter die before me. I buried them in a valley full of flowers."
