41. Zhao State is strong and has its roots in harmony
In 278 BC, the Chu State was defeated by Qin State and the Chu State was destroyed. King Zhaoxiang of Qin also wanted to subdue Zhao State, but failed to succeed in the plot. King Huiwen of Zhao was not an idiot, and the talents he chose were first-class. Returning the jade to Zhao State was enough to show the loyalty and courage and wisdom of Lin Xiangru, the envoy of Zhao State. The reunion of generals and ministers can better show the humble and courteous and noble personality charm of the senior official Lin Xiangru.
Lian Po, a famous general of Zhao State, was brave and good at fighting, and had outstanding achievements. He was appointed as the Supreme Minister. Later, Lin Xiangru's status was above Lian Po. Lian Po was very dissatisfied and wanted to give Lin Xiangru a little color. Lin Xiangru knew very well that the reason why Qin did not dare to invade Zhao State was mostly because he and Lian Po assisted the government. Once the two were not in harmony, they would weaken their internal forces and give the enemy an opportunity to take advantage of it. It was not good for the country, both of them and others. Lian Po was also a person who was very wise. After learning about Lin Xiangru's character, he felt deeply ashamed and immediately went to the prime minister's mansion to apologize. After seeing Lin Xiangru, Lian Po lowered his head and said, "I am too selfish and only care about merit and fight for power. Fortunately, you put the overall situation first! I really have no shame to see you, please punish me!"
You see, a real man can bend and prosper, and put national interests first. With such noble personality, the country will be expected and the people will be blessed. Generals and ministers will be harmonious and will not invade all poisons. King Zhaoxiang of Qin has been eyeing Zhao State for a long time, but he can only have this thief heart and no courage, and he sighs to Zhao Xing.
42. If harmony is established, it will be destroyed.
The year when Hu Hai seized the throne, in July 209 BC, the first large-scale peasant uprising in my country's history broke out. The rebel army led by Chen Sheng and Wu Guang came in a turbulent momentum during the first war, and was invincible, and it was in a big way to destroy Qin. Unfortunately, not long after, some generals were blinded by temporary victory and bitten their souls by desire. They all wanted to be kings, and they took their own plans, acted independently, and did not respond to each other, and killed each other. In less than half a year of the uprising, they were suppressed by the Qin Dynasty.
This is just a fulfillment of the saying: harmony will stand, and division will die. The demon of power desire will jump out from time to time to fool those who do not practice deeply and have weak will to expand their evil desires and cause their own destruction.
