Chapter 8 The Line of Heaven
Seeing my mother's white hair, I nodded heavily, but I knew very well that I could not escape without any consequences.
In the middle of the night, Uncle Chen and I advised my mother to go in and sleep. Wu Sanya asked someone to drag the Taoist priest away. I saw that it was getting late, so I asked him to go back and rest early.
Uncle Chen stared at an arrow on the ground in a daze.
"Uncle Chen, Uncle Chen..."
After screaming a few times, he realized.
He pulled me over, and he picked up the arrow on the ground, looked at me with a puzzled look, and said, "Wu Cheng, I'll take this arrow first, you go back and rest first."
I nodded, and then, Uncle Chen added in a low voice in my ear: "Look at if there is anything unusual about your mother."
Of course I didn't want to believe it. Although my mother's behavior was really not normal, my first reaction was to shake my head. Uncle Chen sighed and said, "Let's pay attention!"
This time, he didn't give me a chance to hesitate and turned around and left, and if he refused, he would just block his throat.
My heart was like a mess.
When I returned to the room, my mother came over. I looked puzzled. My mother gave me a talisman and told me not to leave. She went back to her room regardless of my exploratory gaze.
I slept well that night, but I was so tired that I felt weak when I woke up the next day.
My mother is like a ok person, so I don't have any questions.
After dinner, I stood at the door of my house and watched the gust of wind blow up the two fallen leaves on the ground. I really felt powerless about this desolate village.
The eyes fell in the distance. I saw Uncle Chen walking towards this side, and looked back at my mother who was working hard, but I still walked over.
When Uncle Chen saw me, he looked at me tacitly, and then took me to a remote place.
Before I could speak, Uncle Chen took out the arrow and reported to me what he knew.
"This arrow is a ray of the sky, look at this position!" As he said, he pointed to the handle of the arrow and said, "This sign is a ray of the sky. I read through the books I had all night last night, and there would be no mistakes."
Looking at Uncle Chen's red eyes, my heart was filled with mixed feelings.
It was a circular sign, passed through the middle by an arrow. This black sign looked like an eye, making me feel like a ray of light on my back, and I felt all kinds of discomfort.
I thought I could not believe it, but the words were stuck in my throat.
Uncle Chen also understood me, sighed and continued, "I know you don't want to believe it, but last night, I personally saw this arrow coming out of her hand, and she was hit by a sharp small object on the Taoist priest. How could such a distance be fine? Think about it, isn't this strange?"
It was really strange. I noticed it last night, and this morning I took a look at my mother's hand. There was nothing at all. I just felt that my head was about to explode. I waved my hand to stop Uncle Chen from continuing.
After rubbing my temples, I sighed and said, "Uncle Chen, I believe in you."
Seeing the light flashing in his eyes, I nodded and confirmed that he was not wrong.
After hesitating for a while, he finally took out a talisman from his arms and took it to Uncle Chen.
"This was given to me last night by my mom, and I also have the sign on the arrow."
Uncle Chen took it and compared it carefully.
I'm pretty sure the pattern on it is the same because it's so special.
Yesterday, when I got it, I was stunned for a moment. Ordinary talismans would not be like this at all.
Uncle Chen shook his head, looked at me, and said helplessly: "Wu Cheng, I'm afraid you're going to take care of this matter this time."
I just felt my brain was in chaos and the whole thing became more and more weird.
Yishitian, what is that thing, what kind of organization is it?
Uncle Chen shook his hand in front of me, and I looked at him with a confusing look on his face.
"Wu Cheng, your father's death may be related to this matter, I..."
"Okay, Uncle Chen!"
I have heard too much about this kind of remarks. Now I just feel a little dizzy and want to take a break.
"Okay!" Uncle Chen patted my shoulder and said, "I don't force you either. Go back and take a break and think carefully about whether you want to listen to the third update."
I nodded.
I just lie down when I went back and was sleeping in a daze. Before I could completely fall asleep, I heard someone arguing at the door.
As soon as I opened the door, I saw my mother and Wu Sanya standing at the door.
"Mom?" I called my mom if I couldn't figure out the situation.
Wu Sanya scratched his head embarrassedly.
He raised his hand and said, "Wucheng, I want to come to your house to sit, but my sister-in-law won't let you!"
My mom explained, “That’s because you have bad intentions!”
Wu Sanya scratched his head.
I was silent for a while and finally waved my hand: "Mom, let him come in!"
My mother was helpless and had to give up a way and muttered her around.
Wu Sanya came in, put down the things in his hand, looked at me and said, "This is a good supplement, I specially brought it to my sister-in-law."
I didn't have my sister's words, but said straight to the point: "Tell me, is it because I heard the corpse of the third update?"
Wu Sanya, who had seen through my intention, looked slightly embarrassed and nodded.
"Wu Cheng, just help Uncle San this time. I really have no choice. The cause of your seventh grandmother's death is definitely not simple. You made her angry again last night. The safety of the whole village is in your hands!"
I was angry when I mentioned what happened last night, and he actually said it in such a blameful tone.
I felt unhappy and I retorted to him: "It's all my fault for saying this. I blamed me for not standing upright last night and letting her come over to attack me!"
Wu Sanya realized that he had said the wrong thing and quickly said, "No, no, I didn't mean that."
"Okay, I'll think about it."
Seeing that I was impatient, Wu Sanya was afraid that if I continued to say something, I would reject him directly, so he said goodbye.
I was cursing in my heart. What a mess? I just went home. Why is it so troublesome? It would be better to stay in school, at least not so troublesome.
Shaking my head, I decided to go to my father's grave to take a look. Although I knew he was not there,...at least it was his tomb, and at least it was still a place to have thoughts.
Maybe his three souls and seven spirits are really back?
Thinking of it, I walked over there with the paper money.
Although it was broad daylight, I still told me that there were many trees here. When the wind blew, the leaves were rustling. I always felt cold on my back. It seemed that someone was following me all the time, but I didn't dare to look back. Maybe this is people's psychology. At least if I didn't see it, I wouldn't have so many worries.
I had to speed up my pace. At least when I arrived at my father's grave, I would feel safe. Whether it was a mental effect or self-comfort, I would never go back now.
I almost ran to my dad's grave, wiped the sweat beads on my forehead randomly, and I knelt down, took out the paper money and started burning.
In the smoke, I looked at my father's tombstone, sighed, and told him about my worries.
"Dad, you said, what should I do? I don't care about this village if I don't see you, let alone, my mom..."
Speaking of this, I have no sound and I still don’t want to believe it.
I sat with my dad for a long time. When the last three pieces of paper money were about to burn out, a gust of wind suddenly blew up, and I couldn't open my eyes until the wind stopped. I opened my eyes, as if a black figure was floating past me.
Her eyes followed the shadow and she stopped straight in front of my dad's grave.
When I saw her face, my heart beat faster.
That's no one else, it's... Grandma Qi...
