Chapter VII Wool Textile Products

In the village of spring, although the first snow has not arrived, the bleakness has spread across the banks of the Hailar River. All beasts have begun to lie down, and all things have begun to return to silence. But in the village, cheers and cheers sound from time to time.

"Anda (Mongolian brother), hurry up!"

"Aye, the first place will be surpassed."

"Eji, I'm hungry, wuwu......" Some cheer for my brothers, some cheer for my family, and some children holding the lamb were hungry and cried loudly at Eji (Mengyan Mother) who was playing on the court.

This is the first competition held by Spring Village in autumn, and its full name is the Wool Shearing Competition.

Of course, shearing sheeps in this era was really shearing sheeps. However, Ulutus discovered that the people of the tribes used wool very simply. They were rarely used in other places except for burning them as fire. If they were a little more complicated, they were also peeled off the entire sheep and used to make warm clothes in winter.

But in this case, it is a waste of wool.

So Ulutus organized everyone to cut the wool, and then found ways to remove the grease and dirt from the wool, so as to make various wool textiles.

This is one of the industries he could think of, for tribes, the most development path.

Although Mongolian coarse wool sheep are not the best in terms of texture, it also has its advantages, that is, wear resistance. This is just like the sheep on the Mongolian grasslands, it has a strong tolerance for the environment. Even under difficult conditions, it can stubbornly ensure the inheritance and reproduction of the ethnic group.

This idea was what Ulutus thought of from the time travel novel that he had read. Before the time travel, he was a civil servant working in a township. He didn't have much to do during his ordinary days.

So in his spare time, he read various novels.

Unexpectedly, I went through time one day. The various strategies for getting rich in the past can be used to practice it.

The so-called walking with two legs can only go further!

In addition to developing the wool textile industry, Ulutus also intends to develop the food processing industry.

The raw materials are thousands of sheep and horses in the tribe.

After all, winter is coming soon! On the grassland, long winters will cause the livestock to lose weight very much. If a batch is slaughtered in advance, it can be stored as food. This also reduces the burden on wintering forage.

But there is one problem with this, that is, keeping fresh.

In this era when there are no cold storage ice storage, preservation is a big problem. Even if the problem of preservation can be solved naturally when winter is ice and snowy, the meat fat rate of the sheep will drop significantly by then.

In this regard, Ulutus's idea was to make it into ham and smoked bacon. However, this required a lot of salt.

In the grassland, the price of salt has always remained high. Although Ulutus can guarantee the supply of salt in his daily life, it cannot guarantee the supply of salt for a large amount of smoked bacon.

So these days he has asked people to go nearby to explore the distribution of salt mines, salt lakes or saline-alkali land. If so, he can use the knowledge of later generations to practice salt refining methods.

But until now, no good news has come.

As his thoughts drifted farther and farther away, a cheer sounded on the field. But at the end of the game, a female slave holding a crying doll won the first place in wool shearing. Hunur also checked it out as if it were a decent look, and then ran to Ulutus for advice.

Only after obtaining permission did the mother and son give the prize - a set of silk velvet quilts.

This was picked out by Ulutus from his warehouse. Silk products can only be enjoyed by princes and nobles and Nayan on the grassland. Ordinary people, except for the dirty sheepskin, could not find a decent silk fabric.

So when the female slave got such a good thing, she didn't dare to reach out to get it. She was afraid that her calloused hands would break the smooth silk quilt.

It was not until Hunur threw the quilt into the female slave's arms with some dissatisfaction that the other party carefully put it away.

When he stepped down, Zhuoya gave the crying doll a bowl of goat milk cake. It was a new pastry made by Ulutus's guidance to Al'er's wife. The taste has not met Ulutus' expectations and needs to be improved.

But this little piece of pastry was eaten into the mouth by the little baby like delicacies. He sipped his sip, as if he wanted to remember the taste deeply in his mind.

Back to Ulutus, Zhuo Ya kept looking at her master secretly. She didn't understand why her master got sick and seemed to have become a different person. Not only did he know so much, he taught the tribes many rules. He also felt like a true god possessed her, and he was full of tolerance and kindness to her tribes.

As a noble prince, the master does far exceed the limits he should have done.

"Hey! What are you thinking about?" Ulutus looked at the tribes who were tidying up the wool, and wanted to get closer. Suddenly, he found that he had walked away. Zhuo Ya was still standing there stupidly, and then he turned around and shouted with a smile.

"Ah! Prince!" Seeing his incompetence, Zhuo Ya immediately lowered her head and followed her.

Ulutus was thinking about dealing with the wool matter, but without caring about Zhuoya's answer, he turned to guide his subordinates in person.

"Maybe, the prince is the reincarnation of the Heaven of Changsheng!" Seeing that Ulutus did not show off his prince's airs in front of the tribes, and even when the tribes did not do well enough, Zhuo Ya couldn't help but think to himself.

After all, the Mongols did not believe in the true God, and only immortal heaven could treat their believers so kindly.

After about a week, the wool in the tribe was basically removed. After steaming, most of the grease and stains were removed.

For this reason, the tribe's iron pot was burned out twice, which made Ulutus have to send people to the Montenegro City to buy a few more iron pots so as not to be inadequate when cooking, the tribe's lack of iron pots would lead to insufficient food supply.

When they arrived at the wool textile production workshop that had just been built, several novice residents were rinsing the steamed wool. Although their movements were stiff and clumsy, their diligent performance was very satisfying to Ulutus.

In fact, the herdsmen of this era did not have so much intention of being scammers, especially when they met a master who cared for the people of the Ministry and cared for the people of the Ministry, they only knew to do their best to complete the things assigned by the master in order to repay the kindness of their masters.

This also gave Ulutus a deeper sense of immersion in the tribe and a more real relationship with this era.

After explaining the follow-up matters of wool treatment, Ulutus came to the blacksmith shop again. As an important tool to promote social progress, when he planned to establish a village, he first determined the blacksmith shop as the first batch of important buildings.

But the house was built, but the effect it showed was pitiful. Because the blacksmith shop could not even cook an iron pot.

However, this is not because the blacksmith's craftsmanship is too poor! The other party is a Han man who was accused of from the Jin Dynasty and has his ancestral ironwork. Unfortunately, there is no pig iron in the tribe, and it is difficult for a skilled woman to cook without rice. Without pig iron, even the blacksmiths have difficulty creating qualified iron tools.

Therefore, in addition to sending caravans to purchase, Ulutus also asked people to find iron ore in his fiefdom. Of course, he did not have much hope.

After all, iron ore is not an ordinary deposit. If it were open-pit, it would have been taken for itself by others. However, ordinary people would not be able to see the hidden underground without professional prospecting tools.

"Hey! Farming is not that easy!" With a feeling that development is difficult, Ulutus frowned and returned to his residence.

This is a two-story single wooden house with a shape similar to the wood-carved ridge in the high and cold areas of Northeast China. The roof is very sharp and the walls are made of heavy wood. The gaps are covered with moss, which is warm and beautiful.

Just as he was about to push the door open, Hunur ran over from behind and said breathlessly that the caravan that went to purchase in Heishan City was back.
