Chapter 24 The Great Sun Tathagata

"I heard that last night, a family of four in the south of the city lost their heads."

"How can you not hear about such a big thing? Is there another thief?"

"What kind of thief is there? I heard that not only is the bald head gone, but the blood on the body has been drained. There is no trace of blood in the room. That is not something a thief can do. Nine times out of ten, it is a monster!"

"monster!"

"Well, all the real people in the Temple of Immortality have passed away."

Listening to their conversation, I stopped silently and couldn't help but think of the flying head that was as big as a lantern that I saw last night. What kind of monster was that? Was it the one that killed that family of four?

Where are people?

"It's not a good time to stay here for a long time, it's better to leave as soon as possible." He thought to himself.

When he was at the gate of the city, he saw a strange man with a knife in his back. He was wearing dark clothes that looked like they were made of iron. He stood at the gate of the city with his eyes as sharp as a hawk, staring at the passers-by. There were a few people beside him.

A servant.

"Two masters, please stay."

When Kong Kong and Wu Sheng were about to cross the city gate, he stretched out his hand to stop them.

"This is the donor, what's going on?"

"Master, what is in this backpack?"

"Ah, scriptures." Wu Sheng opened the package and showed the scriptures inside. The man read through them one by one.

"In which temple are the two masters practicing?"

"Jinding Mountain, Lanruo Temple." Monk Kong said.

After asking a few more questions, they let them go.

"Master, who is that person?" Wu Shengcai asked with a smile after walking a long distance from the city gate.

"Wu Yingwei, the person we met just now should be a master among them." Monk Kong said softly.

"Why did he come to check? It couldn't be about last night, right?"

"Probably not. What happened just last night, Wu Yingwei arrived this morning, a little too fast, and Wu Yingwei generally does not interfere in local affairs unless it involves Ouchi." Kong Kong said.

"Is it because of them?"

"Who are they, Gu Nanpo's family?!"

Wu Sheng suddenly remembered what happened that night. A dozen soldiers died and a key criminal of the imperial court escaped. This was a big deal. Moreover, the leading officer and soldier had indeed shouted the words - Wuyingwei.

"If it's broken, he won't find us, right?"

"No, those people were all buried. That place is so remote that it's not that easy to find. Besides, there's nothing left there to prove that we've been there!" Monk Kong said.

"That's right, let's go quickly." Wu Sheng said, the more he thought about it, the more unsure he became.

We walked faster on the road that day, and when we arrived at the mountain temple, it was already dark. Wu Sheng could not sleep, so he lit a candle brought from Jinhua and spent the night reading the scriptures redeemed from the pawn shop.

"This is an ordinary Buddhist scripture, so is this one, so is this one..."

He read twenty-three books in a row, but they all turned out to be just ordinary Buddhist scriptures. There was no scripture that recorded the practice method like the "Vajra Zen Palm" he had read. Just when he was about to give up, the next

The title of this book made him stunned. "Buddha's Finger".

He immediately looked through it carefully, and it also recorded the cultivation methods, but only one finger.

This finger can control mountains and rivers, save people in the world, and cast down demons.

One finger can transform all dharmas, and one finger can break all dharmas.

Awesome!

After reading it, Wu Sheng felt satisfied and had finally gained something. He put this sutra alone, and then put away the rest of the books. Then, under the dim candlelight, he read carefully several times until his eyes became a little raw.

It hurt, so he carefully put the book away, then lay down to sleep.

In his sleep, he vaguely saw a monk pointing with his fingers, sometimes pointing to the sky, sometimes to the ground, sometimes to himself, sometimes picking his nostrils, and sometimes scratching his buttocks.

What the hell is this?!

During dinner the next day, the abbot asked about the scriptures, and then said nothing more.

After returning to the room, Wu Sheng continued to look through the scriptures, and was stunned when he turned to the "Arhat Sutra". This is also a scripture that guides practice. After practicing it, one can become a golden Arhat with great magical power.

Suffering from reincarnation.

"Well, this is not bad!" He put the Arhat Sutra aside and continued to read.

"This won't work, and this won't work either. The pages of this book are a bit thick!"

He stopped when he turned to the second to last book and found that the cover of the last page of the book was a bit thick. He looked carefully and found that there was a thin page sandwiched inside. It was khaki in color and soft in texture, not like paper.

, the picture above is actually a statue of Buddha, standing with one finger pointing to the sky and the other pointing to the ground, a large disk behind the head, and a page of text on the reverse side.

"The Great Sun Tathagata Sutra" talks about cultivating the dharma body of the Great Sun Tathagata through the method of visualization. After the success, the dharma body will be like the bright sun in the sky, the golden body will not be destroyed, and all dharmas will not invade.

"This one is even more awesome!" Wu Sheng said happily.

After all, this is Buddha, he is better than Arhat.

"Practice this." He decided immediately.

In his mind, what was hidden must be something good. It was hidden so tightly that it must be unmistakable.

There was nothing left with the last sutra, so he put together the three sutras that could be used for practice.

Then I started to read the "Great Sun Tathagata Sutra".

Visualization, this should be easy, just close your eyes and think.

Thinking about it, he closed his eyes and thought hard about the picture on the page of the scripture. After a while, a vague outline appeared in his mind. It was just a general shape without a specific appearance. No matter how hard he thought about it, it was still the same, without any trace.

Changes. He worked hard for a day, but his head was so dizzy that it hurt, and he just couldn't get in.

What's going on?

When he was eating and going to the hut, he was thinking about it, as if he was possessed by a demon. At night, he lay down.

"It will appear in dreams." He thought.

As a result, a monk actually appeared in his sleep. He just pointed and scratched, and was not honest for a moment.

It was like this for three days in a row, with no progress at all.

When eating lunch that day, he found a ball of white and sticky stuff in his bowl. He looked up and found that the bowls of the other three were filled with gruel.

"What is this?"

"Pig brain." Monk Kong said.

"Well, why are you giving me this?"

"Master, seeing how hard you have been studying Buddhist scriptures these past few days, I specially asked the abbot to get it for you. Eat it to replenish your brain. Eat it quickly and eat it while it's hot for the best effect!"

"I've never heard of anyone eating pig brains to replenish their brains. The more they eat, the stupider they become. You have to eat walnuts! I won't eat them," Wu Sheng said after hearing this.

He refused to eat anything. Monk Kongkong suddenly stood up and jumped. He thought he was going to beat him, but he saw him taking the bowl and throwing it in front of Wu Chu. Wu Chu didn't say anything.

It was finished within a few bites.
