Chapter 426

In another Defense Against the Dark Arts class.

Snape said: "I will give you time in class for you to practice the Silent Charm. This is the last time."

"This ability is supposed to be mastered by your diligent practice after class, but you still have to waste four classes. I would say that after every freshman enters Hogwarts, they should be made mute in the first year.

, and then remove the magic for them after they are familiar with the silent spell. Unlike now, the sixth grade only begins to learn the silent spell. And the habit of having to recite the spell to use magic has long been formed, so it will not be easy to change."

I don't know who Snape identified as the culprit, but there was an obvious sneer on his lips and he said impatiently: "Now let's start practicing."

Seeing that Snape was about to raise his wand to seal the student's mouth with magic, Hermione quickly raised her hand and said: "Professor, you are forcing the student to not be able to open his mouth or make a sound. Isn't this too difficult?

What's wrong? At least there should be some transition, such as chanting a mantra quietly? Then slowly chant the mantra in your heart."

Snape looked calm and did not explain.

The so-called use of strong medicine for serious illnesses, in his opinion, the students were already terminally ill, and if he slowly got them used to not chanting the curse, it would take a lot of effort.

He looked at the class and asked: "What do you want? Do you want to do the same as Monday, or do you practice according to your own ideas?"

"Professor, let us familiarize ourselves with silent spell casting."

"Maybe I can master it faster this way."

"It's up to you." Snape understood very well what they were thinking, but after sealing his mouth, he would feel very irritated and aggrieved. He just didn't want to be like this, but he still found reasons.

"But I don't know that you are all so confident. I can't open your mouth even if you want to. Under these conditions, you have made so little progress. You even dare to say that you are getting familiar with it gradually. You think you don't use the spell when you cast it?"

Is it easy to read it out loud?"

Snape's voice changed: "Yes, it is indeed very simple. If you were a mute, you could say that he was born with the silent spell, but you are not. You have been using your mouth for fifteen years to reverse the unspoken meaning.

This action requires strong concentration and willpower. Not all wizards can do this..."

His eyes stopped on the faces of several people.

"In the last class, you practiced alone. In this class, you are divided into two groups. One person tries to cast a curse on the other, but is not allowed to recite it aloud. The other tries to counterattack or defend against the curse, and the same is true.

Be silent and let's get started." Snape sneered, as if he was looking forward to what would happen next.

Lupine in the third grade and Snape in the fourth grade. Everyone had already learned a lot of curses under their guidance, but none of them had ever recited these curses silently.

So after Snape said it started, a lot of cheating followed.

Many students moved their mouths lightly and recited incantations quietly without amplifying their voices.

Weak Legs Curse, Coma Curse, Weakness Curse, Blindness Curse, Petrification Curse, Dancing Curse... and all kinds of messy spells.

Snape dragged his black robe around and patrolled among his classmates. As before, he looked like a giant bat. Every time someone chanted a curse, Snape would stand quietly behind him and smile.

Parvati was about to cast a curse on Lavender, her face turned red and she closed her mouth tightly, for fear that she would not be able to resist the temptation and whispered the spell.

Lavender raised her wand, nervously waiting to repel a spell that seemed never to be cast.

"That's too bad, Patil." Snape looked at it for a while and said, "Here...let me give you a demonstration..."

Soon enough, he suddenly turned the wand towards Parvati. Parvati reacted instinctively, without thinking about the silent spell at all, and blurted out: "There are many obstacles!"

It seemed as if several walls of pale white air were about to break, squeezing towards Snape.

Snape was not panicked at all. It should be said that he had deliberately frightened Parvati into making her make a mistake.

Snape did not recite the spell, but a golden light suddenly appeared around his body, which blocked Parvati's spell.

The whole class turned their heads and looked at Snape and the panicked and embarrassed Parvati.

"Do you remember I told you that we were practicing silent spells, Patil?" Snape said softly.

"Remember, Professor." Parvati said stiffly.

"Then remember it well."

Harry and Hermione have always been two unique beings in the class.

Especially the Defense Against the Dark Arts class, which is purely about learning magic, and under Harry's influence, Hermione had already mastered spells far beyond those of her peers.

They almost never learn magic according to Snape's teachings, and Snape rarely pays attention to them and lets them do what they want to do.

Hermione watched everyone in the class practicing extremely hard but couldn't help but chant the spell. She said to Harry in distress: "I regret it. I shouldn't have said that to Professor Snape. How could I have done that?"

To think that the silent spell is so difficult for them."

Harry was reading a thick magic book and said: "You are very smart, but you think they are as smart as you. Their brains are so useless that their thoughts cannot control their bodies. This is called talking.

They say no, but their bodies are very honest. It's surprising that they can learn the silent spell quickly."

"Actually, Snape's approach is the most appropriate. Just make them mute and cut through the mess quickly."

"Then if you don't remind me, I still suggest that to the professor."

Harry said: "It doesn't make much sense. After all, it's just one class. If Snape can convince other professors to be mute in their classes, it will probably have significant effects in ten days."

After class, there is a herbal medicine class.

Walking through the vegetable field planted by Hagrid, the soil was moist and the sky seemed to be considering whether it would rain now.

When Harry and Hermione arrived at the greenhouse, the greenhouse door opened and some fourth-year students crowded out.

At the front were Ginny and two girls, who were talking very happily.

Ginny looked up and saw Harry, her face turned red and she ran away.

However, the two girls seemed to know Ginny's thoughts clearly and greeted Harry with a smile.

Harry showed a rare gentleness to the stranger and nodded.

Hermione kept winking at Harry and turned to look at Ginny who was running away.

Snap!

Harry's big hand fell on Hermione's buttocks, squeezed it several times through the close-fitting robe, and said angrily: "How many times do you want me to tell you that I don't care about Ginny? If you dare to tease me like this again...

...Then, you play the role of weak Ginny, and I am the cold school sweetheart, and you are raped by me in the common room where no one is around..."

Hermione: "Bah."

"Brother." A cheerful voice sounded.

Astoria comes out with Luna Lovegood.

Harry noticed that most of the boys' eyes were on the two of them.

Astoria smiled and hugged Harry, wiping the mud on Harry's body cleanly.

"Still like a child." Harry smiled.

"Are you taking Potions class with Ravenclaw this year?"

"Yeah." Astoria nodded.

Luna has no strange decorations on her body, no carrot-like earrings, no beer bottle cap necklace, she looks quiet and clean.

She looked at Harry calmly, and Harry looked at her.

Still Luna looked away and said: "Hello Harry."

"Is it that unpleasant for you to say hello to me? I thought I was very popular," Harry said.

"No." Luna shook her head. Today she had two thick braids, light golden braids, swaying back and forth.

Harry stretched out his hand as if to touch Luna's pink cheek.

Luna looked at Harry with bright eyes and started to step back.

"Don't move." Harry's voice was not very loud, but Luna did not dare to avoid it.

Harry gently wiped a piece of dirt off Luna's small nose.

Luna's eyes were evasive.

After Astoria and Luna left.

Hermione chuckled: "Yes, a girl like Luna who is quiet, smart and a little arrogant is cuter, right?"

Harry sighed and said solemnly: "It's just that there are too many good girls. I want to take care of every one of them."

"You admitted it so unceremoniously." Hermione said angrily.

As everyone expected, Professor Sprout emphasized the importance of O.W.Ls to them as soon as the class began.

While tinkering with the fungi in her hands, Hermione said, "I really wish all the teachers would stop talking about this. I've heard enough."

After class, Professor Sprout assigned them to write a paper.

"Too much, too much."

"Professors McGonagall, Professor Hagrid and Professor Sinister have given us a lot of homework!"

"Merlin, when I think about how much homework I have to do, my heart gets tight."

The students who had just worked hard for an hour and a half, regardless of the strange fertilizer smell all over their bodies, began to lament that they had too much homework.

But Professor Sprout was unmoved.

As everyone lined up to return to the castle, no one was in the mood to talk. This was another particularly tiring day.

"Is this life in fifth grade? I love it." I don't know who said such words.

Dark clouds followed their footsteps, it started to rain again, and the mud on the ground was as bad as their mood.
