Chapter 21 The Wind Rises

The night is getting darker.

Dumbledore sat at the table, gently tugging Newt's secret letter with his slender fingertips, frowned.

The main content in the letter is actually very simple:

Albania has nothing to do this summer.

Nothing happens means something is wrong, or even a bad thing, because in that dark forest, there is a lonely ghost hidden by the world whom people think they have died long ago... Voldemort.

Dumbledore has always known about this. Even though he has been to Albania several times, he has not found the lonely ghost...

But he just knows it!

Over the past decade, a large number of animals have died suddenly in the forests of Albania, which has been so serious that it has attracted the attention of the Ministry of Magic. Even as time goes by, local residents have gradually become accustomed to it...

Therefore, when the dark forest suddenly calms down and death no longer appears, it means Voldemort's departure.

But the world is too big. Even if the Dark King leaves Albania, there are too many places to go. Where will he go?

Dumbledore pulled out two letters from the drawer, and three letters were placed side by side on the table.

A letter of apology from the fairies from the Guling Pavilion.

Dumbledore's vault was broken into by a wizard. Although nothing was lost, the goblins wanted to pay compensation. They hoped that he would not pursue it and continued to use their absolutely "safe" vault...

Another letter comes from the Minister of Magic Foggy, who did not catch the wizard who broke into the Guling Pavilion. He was very sorry and said that he would not give up...

What Dumbledore is best at collecting information, laying out the cocoons among the numerous, real, fake, invalid or inconspicuous information, finding truly useful clues, and connecting them together.

From these three letters, Dumbledore could easily draw an obvious conclusion:

After leaving Albania, the Dark King returned to England and found a capable assistant who was powerful enough to sneak into the Gringott and even avoid the pursuit of the Ministry of Magic.

Dumbledore stood up, put his hands on his back, stood by the window, looking down at the distance.

Hogwarts was already in silence under the night, like a sleepy dragon.

But the old man knew that the Dark King was hiding in a nearby corner, peeping at the sleeping giant dragon at close range.

The reason is very simple, because the Philosopher's Stone is here!

Whether it was the Philosopher's Stone in the Vault or in Hogwarts, it was actually Dumbledore's spread.

Instead of letting Voldemort leave Albania disappear without a trace, it is better to let him stay under his nose.

Dumbledore also further observed the Dark Lord's status, explored his secret of immortality, and verified some of his guesses.

Of course, you can also use him to cultivate and temper the people you want to train. The half-dead dark king is the best whetstone.

At this moment, the door was pushed open again and Snape rushed in.

"I just met Scarmand on the road and he said you didn't punish him?"

"Punishment?" Dumbledore did not turn around, but stood with his hands behind his back, and whispered: "Has Mr. Scarmand made any mistake?"

"What mistake?" Snape said irritably: "He brought a Motra and attacked an innocent student..."

"But as far as I know, it was Goal and Crab who insulted Longbottom's parents first, and Malfoy broke into someone else's carriage behind, and wanted to throw his luggage out of the train." Dumbledore turned around and looked at Snape and said:

"The three of them seem to have a bigger mistake."

"Besides, Professor McGonagall has written to the Ministry of Magic to determine whether Scarmand has carried Motra..."

"We all know what's going on!" Snape interrupted the principal's words rudely, and he paced around the room:

"Scarmand's box is very dangerous, there must be many dangerous magic creatures. Don't you worry about the safety of other students? We have to effectively supervise his box..."

Dumbledore looked calm, staring at the wind chimes that could predict the weather in the windowsill, as if the matter in the box was not important tomorrow.

"I agree that Rove can bring boxes to Hogwarts, where he can raise some less dangerous magical creatures."

"You agree?" Snape was almost incredible.

"The child was going to go to the Ifamoni Magic School, where his mother was a professor." Dumbledore reached out to hold the wind chimes and smiled:

"Because of some reasons, Hogwarts' reputation has been slightly worse in recent years, and the academic atmosphere is slightly less than that of Ifamoni, which has led many parents to prefer their children to go to school there... In fact, we are not much worse."

When he heard this, not to mention the old principals hanging on the wall, even Snape felt blushing.

A school ranked fourth from the bottom, forcibly hitting top 2, right?

"So, Ifamoni does not agree with Scarmand raising magical creatures. You can use this condition to attract him to Hogwarts?" Snape's voice was filled with sarcasm.

"Yes."

"Just an ordinary student." Snape sneered: "It's worth it?"

"Every great wizard grew up from ordinary people." Dumbledore said calmly.

Snape seemed angry and dissatisfied.

"In fact, it's not just Rove, I am willing to give appropriate tolerance within a safe and controllable range." Dumbledore sighed:

"It is not only to protect their nature, but also to allow them to grow more freely, to do what they want to do, rather than being completely bound by school regulations.

Isn’t this the responsibility a teacher should fulfill?”

Snape looked at Dumbledore, for some reason, suddenly remembered the werewolf Lupin. If it weren't for the old man in front of him, he would probably never have come to Hogwarts to go to school in his life.

"Of course, it's not just that. I think more students come to Hogwarts to cultivate enough talents."

Dumbledore looked at the still thinking of the Southnap and whispered:

"You know, Voldemort will be back sooner or later, and when he makes a comeback, we need enough strength to protect everyone."

Snape looked terrified. He hadn't heard of this name in almost ten years.

"He's coming back?"

"I don't know either." Dumbledore shook his head, "but can you help me pay attention to Quirreau?"

"Qillow?"

When Snape heard the name, he felt a chill on his back and he didn't notice anything. If there was really something wrong with Kilow, he would be too good at disguising and could escape his eyes.

Dumbledore is sure there is something wrong with Quirrell.

He was not like this before, and he had been to Albania in the summer, but when he came back to apply for the job, he did not mention this matter, only said that he went to the Black Forest and Africa.

These abnormalities are enough to Dumbledore to be alert, especially according to his speculation, Voldemort found a powerful helper.

"By the way, Severus, have you ever met Harry?" Dumbledore asked.

"See!" Snape shook his head suddenly, as if he was driving away a disgusting fly.

"He looks really like his mediocre, arrogant, arrogant, and rude father, James Porter!!"

"But his eyes are like his mother, exactly like Lily." Dumbledore sighed:

"For more than ten years, do you still remember the shape and color of those eyes?"

"Remember……"

Snape sat dejectedly on the chair, grabbing his tears with both hands, twisted and hideous.

"I have seen it many times in my dreams over the years..."

Dumbledore walked over, patted the middle-aged man's trembling shoulder, and sighed, "Then protect Harry's safety."

After Snape left, Dumbledore took out a stone from somewhere. He tapped his index fingers gently, making a crisp sound.

But the blood-red stone had a very dim luster, and the blood color was almost gone, just like residue.

It is like a bait, hanging around the dragon's neck, attracting the hidden Hogwar Dark King...

This is a game, a game of stealing.

Dumbledore knew Voldemort would come to steal.

Voldemort also knew Dumbledore knew he would come to steal it.

Dumbledore also knew Voldemort knew he knew...

这是个比拼耐力和智力的游戏,就看谁更技高一筹.

It just so happened that Dumbledore had never lost in his life, and Voldemort was already a stray dog.

The bells at the window sounded, indicating that a heavy rain was coming soon.

Dumbledore stood by the window, looking at the gradually rising cold wind, looking up at the sky, looking lonely.
