Chapter 129 Jackal Invasion(1/2)

Southwest of the Vine Tribe, in a primeval forest, Stone Loach is leading a second hunting team to capture bison cubs.
The leader said that bison cubs are very important to the tribe. If they can be caught and tamed, the tribe will be able to cultivate more fields and obtain more food in the future.
When it comes to food issues, no one dares to be careless. Therefore, the stone loach is bound to get the bison calves.
They focused on a group of bison, about twenty of them, five of which were calves.
After the spring sacrifice, the second hunting team now has fifty warriors, and hunting twenty bison is obviously far beyond their capabilities.
However, it is not impossible.
If they can find a way to frighten the bison herd and run away, then the slower bison calves will have a chance to catch them.
This is also a common tactic used by many predators.
Stone Loach brings everyone together.
"Later, we will first lay out traps and trip wires on the route where the buffalo herd is heading, and then send ten people to go around the buffalo herd to scare them."
"When the bison herd starts running, they will definitely be entangled in traps and trip wires. Then we will use vine nets to find opportunities to catch those cubs!"
"Do you understand everything?"
Everyone nodded.
"Okay, let's start setting up traps and trip wires."
Shi Loach gave an order, and everyone immediately went around to the front of the bison herd and began to lay out a large number of trip wires and traps.
Although trip wires and traps cannot retain these bison and can hardly cause any harm to them, they can slow down some bison's escape and eventually break away from the herd.
After the traps and trip wires were arranged, the ten warriors of the second hunting team quietly ran to the left, right and rear of the bison herd, and climbed into the dense trees.
Then, three of the warriors took out the hollow animal horns with cuts on them, put them in the corners of their mouths, and blew them suddenly.
"Woooo..."
The sound of the horn is very loud, it sounds like the sound of a giant beast, it is very scary.
Other warriors let out the whistling sounds commonly used when hunting, which sounded like there were many people.
"Moo..."
When the bison heard these sounds, they thought the beasts were coming. They were frightened and began to run forward crazily.
"Quick, quick, get ready to catch the cubs."
The stone loach roared, then climbed to a tree with a good view, drew his bow and arrow, and aimed at the trap area.
"Whoosh!"
A bison triggered the trap, and a large log hanging in the air immediately hit it.
"Boom!"
The wood hit the bison's head. The bison was knocked dizzy. After running forward for a few steps, his steps were already staggering.
"Whoops!"
At this moment, a sharp arrow flew over like lightning and pierced the big bison's butt.
"Moo!"
The big bison screamed, then rushed forward crazily, but was tripped directly by the trip wire.
Other bison also triggered many traps and trip wires. The entire herd panicked and ran faster.
Under normal circumstances, cattle will protect their young in the middle to avoid being attacked by wild beasts.
But at this time, all the adult bison are just running for their lives and can't care about the cubs at all.
Cubs cannot run as fast as adult bison, and are more likely to be caught in traps when passing through trap areas.
"Whoosh!"
A cub stepped on a noose trap, tangled in a cow's hoof and pulled it up a tree.
"Quick, quick, grab it."
The nearby soldiers were excited. They jumped forward nimbly on the trees, then landed next to the bison, and directly covered it with a vine net.
"Hmm..."
The bison cub struggled in panic in the vine net, but it was useless and could not break free at all.
The two warriors pushed the bison calf to the ground, and then tied up all four of its hooves. Coupled with the restraints of the vine net, it was impossible for it to escape no matter what.
In addition to this bison cub, two other bison cubs were also knocked down and captured by the well-prepared hunting team soldiers.
Of the five bison cubs, three were caught and two escaped. The hunting results were quite good.
In addition to the cub, the big bison that was shot by the stone loach was also caught. It was a cow.
When the capture operation was over, the stone loach came down from the tree and joined the soldiers of the second hunting team.
He first checked the status of the adult bison and the three cubs, then nodded with satisfaction and said: "Let's go, carry these four bison back to the tribe."
The arrest went unexpectedly smoothly this time, which made Shi Loach feel very good.
The soldiers of the second hunting team were also very happy, because they had all heard that these bison cubs could play a big role after being brought back to the tribe.
According to the leader, these bison cubs can plow fields.
Although they don't understand what plowing is, it is still good for the tribe.
The soldiers built four racks, placed the bison tied with rattan nets on the racks, and then carried them away.
Because of the large number of people, most predators in the forest would avoid them and would not attack them.
However, just because ordinary predatory beasts do not attack, it does not mean that people from other tribes do not attack either.
The jackal tribe that just migrated here this year is expanding rapidly, including many forests into its hunting grounds.
The forest where Stone Loach and the others hunted bison was also within the range of activities of the Jackal tribe.
A hunting team of more than two hundred warriors from the Jackal tribe happened to be in the nearby forest.
When they heard the hunting noise here, they immediately rushed over and chased the second hunting team of the Vine Tribe who was walking back.
Because they were carrying bison, the second hunting team moved slowly and was easily overtaken by the jackal tribe's hunting team.
The Jackal Tribe is not stupid, and did not attack immediately after catching up, because there are not only small tribes in the Southern Wilderness, but also medium-sized tribes and large tribes. If they offend enemies they shouldn't offend, even those who are stronger than the Jackal Tribe will not be able to bear it.<
/p>
When they discovered that the Vine Tribe's hunting team only had fifty people and was relatively weak, they decided that it was a small tribe and stopped hiding their fangs.

"Ouch..."
A jackal howled and signaled a charge.
"Woo woo woo..."
Subsequently, more than two hundred warriors from the Jackal tribe, either riding jackals or running fast, made strange whistling sounds from their mouths and roared towards Shi Loach and others.
"No, leave quickly!"
Shi Loach shouted, and the soldiers of the second hunting team also heard the wolf howl, and their hearts trembled, and they immediately quickened their pace.
But those jackals were running too fast. How could they run away while carrying the bison?
Although the stone loach was very reluctant to give up, he immediately shouted: "Throw away the prey!"
The soldiers of the second hunting team also knew that the situation was critical. They immediately dropped the four bison and ran with all their strength, trying to get rid of the Jackal tribe hunting team behind them.
After leaving the bison behind, their speed increased a lot, but if those jackals were determined to chase them, it would still be difficult for them to run away.
Fortunately, after the hunting team of the Jackal tribe discovered the four large bison, they stopped temporarily and happily picked up the four bison.
"Their prey is all here, don't chase them!"
The leader of the hunting team of the Jackal tribe gave an order, and the running Jackals stopped one after another and did not continue chasing.
The leader of the hunting team shouted to the forest ahead: "No matter which tribe you are from, this forest will be the hunting ground of the Jackal tribe from now on. If you dare to come here again, I will kill you all!"
Before leaving, the witch from the Jackal Tribe specifically told him that the Jackal Tribe had just arrived in the Southern Wilderness and it was best not to make too many enemies. This leader did not dare to disobey the witch's order.
