Chapter 52 Radio Signals from Deep Space

It was another ordinary and boring day, Luo Shu stood at the Monacoa Observatory and looked at the desolate scenery around him.

An expert knows that Mount Monakya is a famous astronomical observation destination, and those who don’t know think it is in the desolate mountains.

However, Mount Monacoa is indeed very desolate. The observatory is the only building around this area. The shape of the dome is quite like the style of alien architecture in Amelican science fiction movies.

Mount Monakeya belongs to the Hawaiian volcanic group, and the eruption has caused no vegetation on the mountain.

Because of the epidemic, Luo Shu hasn't been back for two years. His classmates in college envied him for enjoying the desert beaches and sunshine of Hawaii, and only he knew his own hardships.

Most of the time, I spent my time with wind and sand, guarding the radio telescope group of Mount Monacoya Observatory, observing tiny galaxies, sub-microns, infrared rays, and fast radio bursts.

Graduating from undergraduate astronomy means unemployment. It is too difficult to find a satisfactory job. If you want to go to the domestic astronomical observatory, you still need a master's degree in the telescope. The location is remote and no one wants to go to the astronomical observatory.

Like the Purple Mountain Observatory in Jinling, the doctoral degree is the threshold (formal edit).

Fortunately, Luo Shu had a good undergraduate grade and had two laboratory internships. He applied for a Ph.D. in astronomy from the University of Hawaii, Hilo.

Many public universities in Amelicon are university groups and are composed of many branches, such as the famous University of California, Berkeley, which is a branch of the University of California.

The Us ranking at Hilo is not good, probably ranked close to 300 in the United States, but because it is backed by the Monacoa Observatory, it is the top in the astronomy world.

The scholarships Amelican gave to the doctoral student are quite high, but the cost of living in Hawaii is also high, so it is a bit difficult for Luo Shu to think about it.

Therefore, he took the task of guarding the Mount Monacoya Observatory from time to time, responsible for observing whether there are any abnormal signals. If he has himself, he will analyze it first, analyze the uncomprehensible abnormal phenomena before reporting to the professor.

He stood by the window for a while and returned to the laboratory to continue facing the observation interface.

Regular radio signals began to appear on the interface, and Luo Shu was not at all worried because there were often radio signals.

Humans have launched too many satellites in space, including eight orbital detectors and four landing cruisers on Mars so far.

The Zhurong number of China's country only successfully landed last year.

It was not surprising that the regular radio signals came from outer space, but Luo Shu looked carefully and found something was wrong.

Because from observations, the radio signal attenuation is a bit severe.

To know that electromagnetic waves will fade in the transmission path, Luo Shu recalled the calculation formula for the free space loss of electromagnetic waves in his mind:

lbf=32.520lgf20lgd.

This calculation formula assumes that the temperature is 25 degrees and 1 atmosphere is ideal.

In fact, there must be errors in the radio signals sent back from outer space.

Luo Shu assumed the intensity of electromagnetic wave emission, and after careful calculation, he found something was wrong. In terms of distance, this series of regular radio signals came from 6 billion kilometers away.

At this location, humans do not launch observers, let alone satellites.

Luo Shu was a little confused for a moment. He began to count whether the universe observer that the Blue Star had launched had been transmitted back approximately 6 billion kilometers away?

"The Pioneer? No, Pioneer 11 is almost at Aquila. The Voyager? No, the Voyager 2 flew away from the solar wind layer and left the solar system the year before yesterday."

"It's about 6 billion kilometers away from the Earth, and it's still in the solar system."

"Voyager One? That's even more wrong. Voyager One flew out of the solar system in 12 years."

"The New Horizon detector is a bit like that. The problem is that the New Horizon has entered the center of the Kuiper Belt and there are also differences in the distance."

Luo Shu counted carefully the observers that humans fired into deep space, and none of them met the conditions in terms of distance.

He began to think about it: "This distance is roughly the distance of Pluto, and now it is daylight saving time in Hawaii."

"I'll calculate it carefully."

Luo Shu combined the geographical location of Mount Monacoya Observatory in detail and found that the signal source was roughly in the Pluto generation.

He can be sure that Pluto is certain that there is no device in which humans can transmit radios at this point in time.

"Excluding all the impossible situations, what's left is the only possible situation. Are there really aliens?"

When Luoshu calculated the electromagnetic wave attenuation signal, the sun had already set off Mount Monakeya.

The radio observation device in deep space continuously received repeated radio signals, proving that the phenomenon that Luo Shu just observed was not an illusion.

Luo Shu realized that this was an opportunity and he wanted to decipher the radio signal before other astronomers.

After the thought came out, he did not report the phenomenon to his mentor as soon as possible.

"???" Luo Shu's mind was full of questions, "Aliens also use the Morse password?"

Luo Shu was surprised after translating the radio signal. Isn’t this thing just Moss’ password?

The long signal is - and the short signal is. Luo Shu was disappointed. He suspected that he was not very good at calculating, and the position of the radio might be on Mars.

He now suspects that this is a radio signal sent back from Mars.

But Luo Shu wanted to see what the decryption of Moss' password was, but he spent an afternoon wasting it on it.

"It's impossible to forgive me for stopping me from catching fish."

"...represents h"

"-represents t"

"Another one-"

".--.represents p"

"http? Is this radio signal a website?"

"--representing m"

".- stands for a"

"--.represents g"

“..represents i”

“-.-. stands for c”

"Another c"

“--- stands for o”

"And another m"

"http" Luo Shu wrote the deciphered plain text on paper,

Luo Shu was completely curious, "magic? Magic?"

He turned on the computer and opened the website he had finally deciphered.

He was disappointed with the content inside. There were only three lines of text inside, which looked like the entrance to three documents, and they were written from top to bottom:

"The nature of will and how will affect reality"

"About the Method of Proving the Existence of the Soul"

"Wisdom life: body, will, soul"

Luo Shu thought to himself, "How can you really be naughty? Will you affect reality? The existence of the soul? Isn't this all nonsense?"

"Who makes such a joke with a rover on Mars."

But he did not stop the mouse and clicked on the first document: the nature of will and how will affect reality.

The signature of the article made Luo Shu laugh: "merlin?Melin?"

"Why isn't gandalf?"

"Forget it, Merlin and Gandalf are not popular anymore. The one that is popular now is scarlet     witch."

Before he could continue to look down, Professor Philip's voice came up on the first floor:

"Ro, it's not good!"
