Chapter 4 Ghost Ship

"Hello, Captain Ethan."

Ethan's young appearance made the few people look surprised, and what made them even more strange was that after such a period of time, no one other than Ethan was seen on the ship.

The people looked at each other and showed a look of vigilance and fear at the same time, as if they had thought of something terrible. In the end, Philip stood up with a gritty bullet and asked his questions very carefully.

"Are your crew...all resting?"

"No, I'm the only one on the boat."

Ethan did not deliberately hide the truth. The situation of these people was not very good. He could feel that their strength was very different from that of him. Even in his prime, he could easily pass it off, not afraid of them having any bad intentions.

After hearing that there was no one on their ship, these people did not show the tendency to "do a big vote". Instead, they showed even more fear and even took a step back unconsciously. Ethan noticed that the battle captain Sean actually looked behind him, as if he was about to jump directly into the sea.

"I'm sorry, I'm curious what you are afraid of?"

Ethan is not the kind of person who likes to play puzzles or talk around in circles. In this case, he prefers to ask straight questions and directly understand why the other person is so strange.

When they heard his question, these people were a little surprised at first, then realized something and even breathed a sigh of relief.

"I'm sorry for misunderstanding that we just encountered a ghost ship before, which caused us to lose our ship and all our partners, and now we have another ship without crew, so..."

"Ghost Ship?" Ethan was very interested in the ghost ship that Philip said, but he explained casually: "My ship has magic stone control equipment."

"Yes, we have already thought of it." The magic stone technology is not uncommon in this sea area. It had not come out of the previous shadow before. It was inertial to think of the ghost ship, and almost forgot that there was such a thing as magic stone control.

It was precisely because of this reassurance that several people collapsed on the deck, unable to stand up even if they wanted to.

"You guys rest here first, I'll get some food and water for you."

"Thank you very much for your generous help, Captain Ethan."

First mate Philip took off his hat and expressed his gratitude to Ethan; the other two were the same, but their condition seemed worse and they couldn't even speak.

Ethan quickly brought food and water, and some fruits to replenish the lack of physical strength and nutrition. When they ate some, their expressions on their faces improved a lot. It was not like they could fall head-on and never get up again at any time, so he asked questions that he was very interested in.

"You said you encountered a ghost ship?"

It was still the first mate Philip who replied. It seemed that the other two trusted and respected the first mate. They would not interfere when Philip spoke, but would only nod and express their approval.

"It was a huge ghost warship. He disguised himself as a ship that killed, and it was the way our Advance was deceived into that ship and then wiped out."

"All of them were destroyed? Only you three escaped?"

He was a little confused. If the ghost ship was tricked into the ship before killing the crew, then they just needed to leave in time, and it seemed that the entire ship would not be wiped out? Can't they escape?

"Yes, after we found something wrong, we immediately wanted to stay away from the weird ghost ship, but suddenly there was thick fog that made us unable to see the surrounding environment clearly. No matter how we sailed, it seemed that we were spinning within a range, and whenever night came, strange things began to happen on our ship."

It seemed that I remembered the horror of those days, and the faces that had just recovered turned pale again.

"Later we realized that the evil spirits had set their sights on us. If this continues, our ship will become a ghost ship, so the captain ordered the ship to abandon it and leave on the escape boat."

Speaking of this, the first mate Philip lowered his head: "We scattered all the escape boats, and there were at least a dozen people riding on each boat, but even on the boat, strange things often happen... In the end, only our boat accidentally hit the strange sea area full of fog, and the others... didn't even leave their bodies."

Philip buried his face in his hands, feeling dissatisfied with his inability to rescue everyone, but when he thought of the situation at that time, he felt deeply powerless and didn't know what to do.

"You have done a good job and you have successfully rescued your partner."

Ethan didn't know how to comfort him, after all, he had never experienced it, and had no idea what was going on at that time, so he could only say something that was not painful or itchy.

Fortunately, there was a suitable person by my side to comfort Philip so that this old man who was old enough to be Ethan's father would no longer cry like a child.

After his emotions calmed down, Philip wiped the tears from his face: "It makes you laugh."

Ethan shook his head and said he didn't mind. He originally wanted to ask the ghost ship and the various strange situations that happened on their ship, but he suddenly realized that this was not the right time, and he didn't seem to have to waste his words.

"Is the ghost ship you mentioned before, that's what it looks like?"

Philip was stunned at first, then looked along Ethan's finger and saw a ship that he was very familiar with.

It was a large Garen-shaped sailboat. The sails on it were all ruined, making a sound of rushing under the sea breeze. There were many ruins on the hull. Ethan was surprised that the ship could float steadily on the sea surface, and even the waves had no effect on him. It was very stable and did not look like a broken ship at all.

"No!" Philip's expression was very complicated, and he didn't know how to describe it for a moment. His trembling voice contained shock, despair, and incredible: "That is our ship, the Advance!"

Ethan's eyelids hopped, and things seemed to be more interesting. He took out his telescope and looked at the ship carefully. Finally, he saw the name of the ship on the side of the bow: Progress.

It seems that this person did not have a state of confusion because he had just experienced the disaster, and he did not admit his mistake.

"How long has it been passed in total when you meet a ghost ship, and then escape and finally get rescued by me?"

"It has been seven days in total from encountering the ghost ship to being rescued by your Excellency."

"Seven days..."

Ethan picked up the telescope again, looked at the ship whose distance had not changed, and carefully observed the details above.

"Captain Ethan..."

"Um?"

Philip's voice trembled obviously, and it seemed that the psychological shadow left by the ghost ship on him was very large.

"Switch quickly."

When sailing, if the wind direction and speed are appropriate, after choosing the canvas layout, you can lock the steering wheel and let it run forward by itself - of course, it is in a vast sea area that will never run into reefs.

Only when the wind direction is complicated or when sailing against the wind, the sails and directions need to be frequently adjusted. In order to facilitate exercise on the sea, Ethan often chooses a more lazy way to sail downwind.

At this time, the Goddess of Dawn was sailing straight along the wind. If you follow this speed and direction, you might soon be able to meet the Progressor, which is suspected to be a ghost ship.

"No need, have you not noticed that the distance between us has never changed?"

Ethan had noticed this a long time ago. The ghost ship seemed to be parked on the sea, but in fact it had been moving forward at the same speed as the Goddess of Dawn. The distance between the two did not change at all. Ethan didn't need to try to know that his ship had been targeted by the other party.

"Oh my God!" Philip held his head and suddenly understood something: "We didn't escape at all. The terrible undead just deliberately let us out to attract more prey to take the bait."

He didn't think he could escape this time. Although Captain Ethan next to him had a very good ship and was equipped with magic stone equipment, these things seemed to have no effect in the face of strange things like the ghost ship.

Philip is an experienced first mate. Of course he knows what the ship is going to move forward at full speed. He just noticed that the ship has been moving forward at full speed while the wind is moving forward. He can't get rid of the ghost ship in this way, proving that the other party has a speed no less than this ship.

At sea, speed determines a lot. The party with the advantage of speed can take a lot of initiatives, and the party with the disadvantage will even be bullied to death by the other party.

With the endless sea level, you can see the other party's environment far away, which can truly make people experience what it means to be unable to fight or run away.

Now, they are at a disadvantage.

Ethan patted Philip on the shoulder: "Since you can't hide, think about how to deal with it."

Philip straightened his chest again and put on the hat that had been pinched in his hand, almost crushed: "Sorry, Captain Ethan, we have implicated you."

"Even without you, this guy will come to me in the direction I am moving forward, so you don't have to feel guilty."

Philip shook his head. He still felt that it was the appearance of himself and others that implicated Ethan. How could he feel guilty that Ethan was too young. Look at him so young, he had a good ship. He should have a bright future, rather than being buried in the hands of the undead in a confused manner.

Ethan did not continue to ask Philip about the ghost ship. The ghost ship had already set his sights on him, so they would definitely come over. At that time, he would know what methods the ghost ship had.
