Chapter 8 [Frank Friends]

The explanation "want to protect the backcourt rebound" seems to make sense, but Guo Xu's foot stretching position was too accurate.

Everyone is paying attention to whether the ball will be in. No one pays attention to Guo Xu's actions, and there is no video replay in the team training. No one can convict Guo Xu if this happens.

Only Richardson guessed the truth. He looked at his friend with some strangeness, but he stopped talking.

There are some actions on the basketball court that "does not violate the rules, but does it very badly". "Foot-up" is a well-known type. When an opponent shoots, he stretches out his feet to make people step on. It is more dangerous and harmful than yelling behind his back. Unlike deliberately pulling people if he can't help but pulling people on purpose, he doesn't even make a foul on his foot, even if he is seen by the referee.

When he was playing basketball in high school in his previous life, Guo Xu stepped on someone else's feet and cultivated for more than half a month. During this period, he limped because it would not hurt. Later, he corrected his walking posture and took him some time. The injured foot could not bear much force.

Guo Xu, who twisted his ankle, certainly knew that the foot pad might hurt his opponent, and he also knew that doing this on the court was not glorious, but he did it on purpose.

This is a school bully who has been targeted several times, a bastard who often calls him "Chinese", and a competitor who wants to kick him out of the team. Guo Xu doesn't feel that he needs to talk about benevolence, righteousness and morality with such a person. He is not Batman, do you need to be polite with a clown?

Because of his living environment, he knows how to protect himself and attack his opponents.

He acts outspokenly, can distinguish between good and bad, can treat good and kind people, and can treat enemies with ruthlessness.

In my memory, my predecessor was provoked and I always said nothing when I was bullied. I retracted my head into the protective shell like a turtle. He digested all of this himself, and to some extent, it was a motivation.

Guo Xu has changed now. He is not interested in fighting back with words, calling the other party a "white pig" or something. He prefers to solve problems with actions. You can scold me, insult me, and hit me mentally. I choose to hurt your body.

Lehman was sent to the hospital for examination, and Guo Xu then faced Cliffs. He tried his best to defend without any use, and was beaten to look ugly.

After the training, Coach Izo did not criticize Guo Xu, nor did he say that he would not be allowed to play the court tomorrow. Even if his shooting feel had not been restored, he didn't make a three-pointer in the training session. Without Leman, Guo Xu was the only substitute point guard left in the team. If he didn't play, he would have to let Cliffs play the whole game at No. 1.

In the afternoon, the team was on holiday, and Guo Xu's footsteps had a butterfly effect. Richardson asked him to go out alone. The two did not participate in group activities, and the route was different from that of their teammates.

Following Richardson's advice, the two took their cameras to visit the Indiana government office building.

In front of the government, there are statues of historical celebrities in the state and reliefs of historical events. On the inside of the hall are statues of Greek goddesses and multi-layered marble columns, like a three-dimensional, simple version of a Greek palace.

Guo Xu originally thought that such a place would be strictly guarded, but the two walked into the palace without any obstacles. The huge building was very quiet and it was difficult to see the office staff. It was like a tourist attraction without tickets.

Richardson leaned out in front of an office with gorgeous doors, which led to a female secretary coming out and asked seriously: "Do you have something to do with the governor?"

Guo Xu was a little confused. Could this be an hindering pace of being arrested for official business? The butterfly effect is too great.

Richardson was not nervous at all, and smiled and said, "We are students who come here to play NCAA basketball games and want to take photos as a souvenir."

The female secretary looked at his figure and believed these words, nodded and said, "The Governor is busy, you can only take pictures of our secretariat room outside."

Then the female secretary asked them to enter the house, busy copying documents, and left them to take photos outside the governor's office. Guo Xu pinched his thigh and confirmed that this was not a dream.

Their visit to the state legislator's meeting room was also smooth, with the staff opening the door for them to see on their own, showing absolute trust in the student visitors.

Guo Xu thinks this is really a magical country. Visitors can visit the offices of senior officials and mayors at will. Why are policemen in many places allergic to those who are nervous and hold their heads in the event of something, otherwise they will shoot them to death?

After leaving the office building, Guo Xu had already noticed that his friend was in a bad mood and took the initiative to raise the topic: "Jason, do you have something to ask about the morning's affairs, right? Don't hide it."

Richardson stopped fiddling with the camera and sighed: "Guo, since you were hit that elbow, you have changed a lot, unlike the one I knew before. I think friends should be honest with each other, Jack was injured, I suspect you did it on purpose."

"So?" Guo Xu did not deny it.

"Your changes are good, but there are also bad things. I don't want you to become a person who will deliberately hurt others. Even if it is your enemy, you can defeat him in other ways. If you don't, I'm willing to help you. In short... you did too much today." Richardson said seriously.

Guo Xu rubbed his face with both hands and smiled and said, "Okay, you guessed it right, I did it on purpose. Jason, you are more upright and more righteous than I thought. You are such a good friend."

He admitted it so happily, Richardson was stunned for a moment and smiled bitterly: "I'm glad you didn't lie to me, otherwise I would seriously consider whether to be friends with you in the future."

Guo Xu shivered, took two steps back, waved his hand and said, "Man, please don't talk like this in the future. Only Sherlock Holmes and Watson will do this. It's so gay. This will make me want to strangle you to death before talking to you."

Richardson laughed: "Haha, although I don't know what happened to you by elbows, I like your current way of speaking. In short, you should be a person with a bottom line and don't hurt people intentionally again in the future. This is an insult to basketball. We should decide the outcome with dignity."

Guo Xu nodded and did not explain his thoughts in detail to Richardson. He had a bottom line, provided that the other party did not plan first, deal with him, let’s forget about people like Jack Lehman, and dealing with this guy is equivalent to eliminating harm to the people.

Guo Xu felt that Richardson had a strong character, and the league owed him a moral style award in his previous life. Throughout Richardson's entire career, he had never had any conflicts with anyone. Although he was very strong, he seemed to be the kind of person who could compete with Ben Wallace. He did not make small moves on the defensive end, perhaps this is an important reason why his defensive ability is average.

This is also the direct reason why Richardson has no popularity in the NBA. The media likes topical players, such as Spurs Bruce Bowen, whose data is far from Richardson. When he was about to retire, he was almost cast into the starter of the Western Conference Star Game. Even at his peak, Richardson did not enter the top ten outside of the star game.

If his personality remains unchanged, it will be difficult for Richardson to become a superstar in the NBA, but this person is worthy of close friendship.
