Chapter 556: Flattering

Normally, the scene under high-speed photography lenses are always amazing.

It may be like using a bullet to penetrate a wooden board, in the eyes of normal people, but under high-speed photography, there will be a picture of wood chips splashing and the penetrated wooden boards waving like water ripples.

If this kind of picture is well designed, it will be very beautiful.

This is also the reason why high-speed photography lenses were used more and more in movies later.

However, sometimes relying on high-speed photography alone is not enough, just like the problems Charlotte and others are facing now

If it is a real fight, if you fist to the flesh, the shots taken by high-speed photography will naturally appear in the scene where the muscles and skin are fluctuated.

But the problem is that there is no real fight in the movie!

Especially in action shots, if they really hit, how many people will get hit hard on the vital part?

Unlike Kung Fu movies that are fine for half a day, people in real life will often lose their ability to move instantly if they are hit by a key part.

Therefore, from a safety perspective, it is unlikely to really play when making a movie.

Even if the actors are willing to endure, the actors' union will not agree.

In this way, how to deal with the blow, the muscle feedback on the affected side's body becomes a problem.

High-speed photography makes it impossible to hide the fake action that was originally used to deceive the audience's eyes.

Of course, relying on computer special effects technology for post-processing is simply not bad, but in this way, the cost of several lenses using high-speed photography will increase significantly.

So, after pulling the deputy director Lao Gun, photographer Addison Young and action director for a while, Charlotte decided to adopt a workaround

For normal action shots, continue to use a high-speed camera to shoot actual actions, but when you encounter a body's impact feedback lens, you use a prosthesis.

Simply put, it is to ask the props to make some special mannequins to shoot hit feedback shots.

In other words, let the actors fight against counterfeits.

This is not a problem.

As early as when filming "Blade of the Head", Charlotte's men gathered several props who were very good at making mannequins.

The heads they made were hard to tell whether they were true or false. The heads that were cut down in "Blade of the Head" were all made of these models, and there was no sign of being misleading.

Even when Depp was filming, the props team made him his own head model as if he was joking. It looked exactly the same, which scared Depp to a great extent...

So, it is not difficult to get them to make mannequins of the hit actors now.

Especially, considering the shots taken, it is often not necessary to capture the entire body of the actor. This kind of local position model is easier to produce.

On the contrary, the material problem of the model requires them to experiment more.

After all, if you want to look like you are really hitting the human body, the feedback effect of the model needs to be very realistic.

Although silicone and other things are common human fillers, it still needs some research to be made into models whether the impact effect is ideal.

Fortunately, the workload is really not big this time

After several experiments, the prop set determined the materials needed to make the model.

In fact, the materials they selected have a more exaggerated impact than the real human body, but movies are originally an art of deception and exaggeration. As long as the performance is good, this is not a problem in Charlotte's eyes.

After determining the action design plan, Charlotte first took a high-speed camera and an ordinary camera several times to capture the ideal effect.

Later, from this shot, we specifically found some of the fragments that require real muscle feedback, and found a prop group to make a special local prosthesis.

Finally, it is the part where the actors hit the prosthesis

"It feels so strange!"

After hitting the muscle prosthesis several times as Charlotte's request, Robert Downey Jr. couldn't help but complain,

"Can you really get the ideal effect this way?"

"You can tell by looking at it yourself!"

Charlotte waved to several curious actors such as Downey and Jude Law, and signaled them to take a look at the monitor.

This made the few people quite flattered.

There is no way. According to Hollywood's default habits, directors generally do not show the finished films to actors.

This is mainly to avoid disputes

After all, what should I do if the director thinks that the shots are good, and the actor feels that he has not shown his acting skills after watching them, or has made himself ugly?

Normally, you should listen to the director. But the actors will inevitably have complaints in their hearts, which is not conducive to the work of the crew.

So, until now, most directors will not show the shots of the actors if they are not necessary.

This is not only to avoid disputes, but also to reflect the director's authority.

Of course, there are no exceptions.

If an actor is a high-powered producer, the entire movie is built around it, and he will naturally see the shots completed.

He can even point fingers at the director in front of the camera.

In essence, this is actually a question of who has more power in the crew.

Like Charlize, who was a producer before filming "The Devil", naturally intervened a lot in this movie she used to hit Oscars.

And she's actually pretty good

In the Mission: Impossible series led by Tom Cruise, he ended up squeezing the director away because he disagreed with the director.

Even a well-known director like David Finch could not suppress Tom Cruise, who holds the power of production...

*******

In short, if it weren't forcing, the directors wouldn't easily show the finished films of their subordinates.

So, now Charlotte said that letting Donnie and the others look at the footage edited through high-speed photography will make several people flattered.

You know, a great director with a status like Charlotte can do whatever he wants regardless of their doubts.

Now that the other party is willing to show them the finished film, it can naturally be said to be an extremely friendly expression.

Of course, they also understood that it was one thing Charlotte was willing to show them the filmed clips, and it was another thing if they could comment casually.

In particular, Charlotte's various clever performances and orderly set scheduling ability during filming had already shocked several people.

Anyway, both Donnie and Jude Law made up their minds before watching

You must say that the shot was good!!

Even if you think the shooting is not good, it is still an aesthetic problem. You should improve yourself during the subsequent shooting process, rather than saying anything else...

Although this idea is suspected of being a flatterer, considering Charlotte's previous tough record, Donny and the others don't think there is anything wrong with it.

After all, the thigh pendants of awesome people are not that easy to be...

However, when they saw the fragments of Charlotte, the few people couldn't help but be shocked.
