Chapter 391: Upper Salzburg Mountain

Rommel had to do this, and some things were difficult to explain clearly in the telegram, especially when Hitler said nothing.

Rommel would never allow the British to deceive Hitler into successfully occupying Sicily, which almost means that the African Legion completely lost contact with Europe. In this way... even if the oil-based African Legion is found, it is afraid that it will not escape the fate of being wiped out by the entire army.

Due to the tight time, Rommel and Qin Chuan got off for a little while and took the "Junker 52" transport plane to Berlin.

"We will be redirecting in Algiers and Paris!" said Rommel.

Originally, there was only one transfer, and the "Junke 52" had a range of 1,285 kilometers. It was enough to fly to Berlin when you arrived in Paris.

But Rommel was eager to fly from Gafsa to the oil field, and when he set out, he was not fully oiled, so he had to add fuel to Algiers once.

Later, Qin Chuan learned that Rommel was talking about transferring was not about refueling, but about getting the airport ready for another plane. Get off the plane and get into another plane and take off immediately. On some dangerous sections, such as flying over the Mediterranean, there were several fighter jets escorting... The general was different. He could still be treated like this when North Africa was so short of fuel.

But this is understandable. Rommel did this entirely because of the urgent military situation. Moreover, North Africa has found oil and will not be short of oil in the future.

"Do you know why we are going to Berlin?" Rommel asked.

"No, general!" Qin Chuan replied.

In fact, Qin Chuan certainly knew that Hitler was completely trapped by the British intelligence department.

Of course, Qin Chuan cannot act like a prophet knows everything.

Sure enough, Rommel said, "I suspect what you said is happening!"

"What?" Qin Chuan was still pretending to be confused.

"The British's deception strategy!" Rommel explained: "The Head of State believes that the British's target was Greece, and they were very determined. I believe something must have happened. As you said, the British intentionally disclosed the information. They at least deceived the Head of State and the Supreme Command!"

"General!" Qin Chuan asked with some difficulty: "So... are we going to see the head of state?"

Rommel nodded and said, "Captain, what you should consider more is how to convince the head of state, rather than being nervous about seeing the head of state!"

"Both both make me nervous, General!" Qin Chuan replied.

But this is actually just Qin Chuan wants to act normally. How could someone who has experienced life and death from the battlefield be afraid of meeting someone?!

When Rommel and Qin Chuan flew to Berlin in the air, Montgomery received two good and bad news.

The bad news is that the Germans really found oil... This news comes from "super secret". When Rommel sent a telegram to Hitler, Churchill received the secret information almost at the same time.

The good news is that the "meat filling program" was successfully swallowed by Hitler. This news comes from MI5, but it can also be said to be from "super confidential", because MI5 learned that Hitler had already called it because of the telegram sent by Hitler to Rommel.

At this time, MI5 was already cheering and celebrating, but there was no champagne... The UK was still blocked, and food was in short supply, let alone the luxurious champagne.

"We finally got the upper hand!" Montgomery handed the telegram to Eisenhower.

"Hmm!" Eisenhower nodded: "The Germans dug up oil, but if they lose Sicily... they will still have nothing, and this oil field will even become our fuel base soon!"

"This is a good thing!" said Montgomery. "In the future we won't have to transport fuel from the other end of the Pacific!"

Eisenhower smiled and said, "Maybe we should wait until the Germans built the refinery there before launching an attack, so that we don't even need to build a refinery!"

Montgomery shook his head, "The longer the time goes on, the more likely they will be to see through our deception strategy!"

"Just a joke, Monty!" Eisenhower said: "We should never underestimate the African Legion, even if they swallowed the 'meat filling'!"

Eisenhower was right, because even if he swallowed the "meat filling" and it might be spit out. Not only would it be spit out... it might also become a "meat filling" that deceives the Allies.

The Juncker 52 transport plane did not land in Berlin because Rommel had contact with Hitler when he was in France and learned that Hitler was on the Upper Salzburg Mountain. So the plane flew directly to the Upper Salzburg Mountain to land.

Mount Upper Salzburg is a mountain near Berchtesgaden. Because Hitler was obsessed with the scenery of the lakes and mountains here, he often came here for vacation (Hitler occasionally created oil paintings here). After a long time, the foot of the mountain became the second government residence in Germany except Berlin.

The most famous one here is the Hitler's private villa built on the top of the mountain to congratulate Hitler's 50th birthday... "Eagle's Nest". According to modern historians estimates, Germany had to spend about 150 million euros in funding to build this private villa at that time.

The plane landed at a small airport, and a team of guards had received a notice. They hugged and ran to the cabin door and lined up. When Rommel and Qin Chuan got off the plane, they stood up and saluted.

Several military jeeps were parked not far away, and a major guided the two of them into the car, and the jeep drove out of the airport.

The jeep was walking along the street between the buildings. After more than ten minutes, it stopped in front of a building with a black cross flag. At the door, a straight guard stood at the door saluted everyone in a very standard military posture. Rommel, who jumped out of the car, stepped forward and returned the salute casually. The momentum made Qin Chuan, who was frightened behind him like a country bumpkin who had never seen the world, completely compared him.

After entering the door, Qin Chuan seized the gun in a single room on the right under Rommel's instructions. Rommel himself didn't need to do this... The reason may be because he was Hitler's guard before or was highly respected and trusted by Hitler.

Walking up to the second floor, a female officer whispered to Rommel: "General, the head of state is waiting for you in the office!"

Rommel nodded, then walked straight toward the bottom of the walkway, which was the largest room.

The moment he walked into the door, Qin Chuan couldn't help but feel nervous. You know, this is seeing Hitler, the craziest person in the world.

But before there was any thought, Rommel stood up and saluted, saying, "Hisser Body!"

"My general!" Hitler immediately stood up and hugged Rommel enthusiastically when he saw Rommel.

Then Qin Chuan finally met Hitler, which was similar to what he saw on TV. He was thin and haggard, but his eyes were filled with excitement and fanaticism.

Rommel introduced to Hitler: "This is..."
