Chapter 700 Dangerous

The first battalion of Qinchuan was quickly replaced and transported to a village called Wikino on the west bank of the Don River.

The first thing all the officers and soldiers of the first battalion did was to sleep for ten hours after a full meal, even Qin Chuan was no exception... In the combat environment of Stalingrad, you could only curl up in the corner and close your eyes when you sleep, and then you had to open your eyes to see the situation, because you must ensure that you are your own people rather than the enemy.

There was a situation like this before. A group of soldiers slept to death in the corner of the floor. Soon after, the building was attacked by the Soviet army and the Germans had to temporarily withdraw. The result was... the soldiers who had been sleeping to death woke up and found that they were all surrounded by enemies. They loudly contacted each other in Russian and fought with the Germans outside the building.

Fortunately, because the soldiers were sleeping in the storage room, the Soviets did not notice them, but instead they made the German army fight inside and outside.

But this can only be said to be luck, and no one dares to try to do this again after that.

Therefore, the sleepy soldiers lie down and slept "whirring" and Qin Chuan was the same. During this period, they would wake up unconsciously several times... It can be said to be a conditioned reflex or a habit developed during the Stalingrad battle. When sleeping, they always forced themselves to sleep, make sure there was no danger around them or remember that it was behind them, and then fell on the bed and continued to sleep.

Ten hours seemed to be in the blink of an eye for everyone, and it was already the next morning when Qin Chuan opened his eyes.

Perhaps because I was too tired, my eyes still sting, but I had already relaxed a lot, like putting down a stone carrying it on my shoulder.

The cooking team brought a bucket of millet porridge to Qin Chuan and others, and then gave each person a piece of toast and jam... The food behind would naturally be more abundant, but Qin Chuan later realized that these were actually something Alexander had given special instructions.

"Then..." Kuhn asked Qin Chuan while drinking porridge: "Major, what special tasks do we have?"

"How do you know we have a special task?" Qin Chuan asked back.

"This is not difficult to guess!" Kuhn replied: "The Soviets attacked the northern defense line, and Stalingrad was short of troops, but we could sleep here and drink millet porridge..."

As the soldiers listened, they turned their eyes to Qin Chuan.

"I will tell you!" Qin Chuan said: "The task now is to finish these foods!"

After breakfast, he rested for another twenty minutes. Qin Chuan even made a cup of tea with the soldiers at this time, and then Alexander and Conrad appeared in front of the soldiers.

Alexander was the temporary staff officer of this plan, or it could be said that it was the connection between Qin Chuan and the 6th Army... Alexander used all the resources he could mobilize to assist Qin Chuan in completing this task.

Needless to say, Conrad is temporarily in charge of the technical consultant for the program.

Qin Chuan nodded to them, and then said to Kuhn and several company commanders: "Come with me, I'll show you something!"

Needless to say, it’s about transferring to Wikino helicopters.

But unlike Qin Chuan's previous surprise when he saw the helicopter, Kuhn and others had no other expressions on their faces except for confusion when they saw the helicopter.

But it doesn't seem to be blamed on them, because they don't know what the weird guy in front of them is doing.

"Let me guess!" Ferguman said: "This is a plane!"

Company commander Lishade, a well-informed veteran, recalled the "hummingbird" used by artillery observers, so he said: "Major, is it used to indicate targets to artillery soldiers?"

"No!" Kuhn said: "I think he should be for us! We're going to take it to fight, right, Major?"

Qin Chuan nodded. Actually, this is not difficult to guess. Of course, Qin Chuan took them to see the plane not for them to visit. At the same time, you can tell at a glance that there are many people that can be installed in the cabin.

After pausing, Kuhn asked, "Tell me, Major, how should we train?"

"Wait!" Conrad, who was standing beside him, couldn't help but ask: "You don't even know the performance of this plane or how dangerous it is... and are you planning to start training?"

"Is there any difference, Colonel?" Coon replied.

"Yes!" Ferguman looked at the helicopter in front of him and replied: "Nothing is important to us, because there are always dangers on the battlefield. If the degree of danger is concerned, I don't believe there are more dangerous places than Stalingrad!"

"Unless this plane cannot fly, Colonel!" Lishade agreed: "Otherwise we have no problem, and more importantly..."

As he said that, Lishade glanced at Qin Chuan and said, "We believe in the Major, he will lead us to victory, and I believe other soldiers will have the same idea!"

Alexander nodded slightly, Conrad rolled his eyes, and something they thought was difficult to deal with was so easily resolved.

The officers of Kuhn were right. The soldiers did not take this so-called "danger" seriously. After all, when the danger reached a certain level, they would die, and people could only die once, so there was no big difference. No matter how dangerous it was, they would die. Many of the soldiers took this lightly.

Due to the tight time, training started on the same day.

Of course, the training at this time was not on the helicopter... The helicopter had not been modified yet and had not flew to the Soviet Union.

The initial training was to use a three-story building without carrying heavy objects, which was to make soldiers familiar with the props for leasing and avoid injuries.

There is no shortage of rushing equipment, and even rushing instructors have ready-made ones... As mentioned before, there are many mountaineering enthusiasts in the mountain troops, and rushing is just one of the skills of mountaineering, and even relatively easy skills.

On the other hand, the Caucasus Mountains did not have much combat demand for the time being, so they didn't say anything, and immediately dispatched a group of equipment and experienced instructors from the mountain division to train.

The main equipment is a high-strength, wear-resistant and high tension static rope, safety belt buckled on people, as well as 8-shaped horn rings, wear-resistant gloves, etc.

While demonstrating, the instructor carefully explained the equipment usage methods and key points to the soldiers, checked the soldiers' preparation status one by one and pointed out the mistakes. For example, the belt should be tied to the lower abdomen, so that the center of gravity will fall at the most comfortable and suitable "carrying point" (the best point to pick up your own).

For example, the left hand controls the brakes, releases the hand and slows down, and the right hand can free up other things, etc.

The whole process was not complicated, and not long after, the soldiers jumped and fell down on the wall one by one.
