"I am a thousand Confucian scholars in the world, thank you for the king!"

This is extremely important for Confucianism, which has never been recognized.

This is actually not surprising at all, because the "king way" advocated by Confucius refers to the kingly way of the Zhou emperor. But in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, who would still buy the account of the Zhou emperor? Everyone has the strength, why should you respect the Zhou emperor as the king according to your Confucius' words?

Therefore, Confucius' failure to lobby the king was inevitable.

In the Mencius era, this situation did not change.

What did Mencius say? "The people are the most important, the country is the next, and the king is the least important."

This kind of words is obviously impossible to be heard by the kings. In fact, if Mencius met some autocratic monarchs in later generations, then this sentence alone would be enough for him to lose his head.

To put it bluntly, Confucianism always wanted to be "benevolence" and "kingdom". However, in the social context at that time, the princes were in danger and wanted to kill all other countries. What kind of benevolence, the kingly way was obviously impossible to be valued by the monarchs.

To put it bluntly, Confucianism is simply not in line with reality under this social situation.

As the last powerful Confucian scholar in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Xunqiu had actually realized the issue of Confucianism and made compromises against the current reality.

This compromise is not only because Xunzi incorporates the Legalist thought into his own thoughts, but also because Xunzi is no longer like his two predecessors, Confucius and Mencius, who must insist on any unrealistic kingdom.

This kind of compromise can be seen everywhere in the book "Xunzi".

For example, Xunzi believed that governing a country could "be righteous established and king, trust established and hegemony, and power struggle was established and hegemony was established and hegemony was destroyed." The monarch could choose the best strategy of "be righteous established and king" or the middle strategy of "be faith established and hegemony was established and hegemony was born". As long as the worst strategy of "be righteous established and hegemony was established and hegemony was not chosen.

It is better to say that in the annexation war, Xunqiu believed that the king could choose to "use virtue to both people, profit to both people, and wealth to both people", which is also three methods.

Even the Confucian scholars themselves divided the levels, saying: "If the ruler uses ordinary people, the country of ten thousand chariots will perish; if the country of ten thousand chariots will remain; if the country of elegant scholars will be safe; if the country of great scholars will be a hundred miles away, after a long time, the world will be one, and the princes will be the ministers; if the country of ten thousand chariots will be wrong, and one day will be the boss."

Simply put, Xunzi’s proposition is: Comrade of the king, if you want to be domineering, it’s okay; but while you are domineering, you must remember that domineering is just a strategy, and if you want to be forever forever, you still have to use the kingly way.

Or to put it this way, "domineering" is considered by Xunzi as the "primary kingly stage", while the "kingdom" advocated by Xunzi is the "higher kingly stage",

For a Confucian, this is actually the biggest concession. If you make more concessions, it is equivalent to denying the feasibility of the kingly way, and you can no longer be considered a Confucian.

But what made Xunzi discouraged was that even though he had made such concessions, no monarch was willing to adopt his theory.

Qi State only used Xunzi's reputation to boost the reputation of Jixia Academy and thus to boost the reputation of Qi State. The reason why Chunshenjun of Chu recruited Xunzi was just because he wanted to show a good reputation of being willing to employ people, and he completely ignored Xunzi's theory.

Even Xunqiu himself was a little discouraged and planned to die of Lanling.

At this moment, Xunzi received a call from the motherland.

At first, Xunzi didn't care about this. After all, in Xunzi's opinion, Zhao was not a rival to Qin, and only Chu and Qi had hope.

But when Zhao State won in Changping, Xunzi's views changed.

Zhao defeated Qin and became one of the well-deserved overlords. If Zhao could be persuaded to evolve from dominance into the kingly way, Xunzi's ideal would have been achieved.

So Xunqiu resigned from the position of Lanling Order and took his two most complacent disciples back to Handan, where he had been away for many years.

What Xunqiu never expected was that he had just met this King Zhao, and the young King Zhao gave him such a big surprise.

The kingly way advocated by Confucianism really has the hope of becoming a member of the ruler of the king!

Confucian scholars actually have the hope of entering the court and becoming a member of the ruling power!

Xun Zhi let out a long sigh and said seriously to Zhao Dan: "In other words, those who dominate the world should be Zhao!"

Of course it is Zhao State.

In today's world, only Zhao State can accept the kingly way of Confucianism.

As long as Confucianism takes root and sprouts in Zhao State, will the Confucian kingdom spread throughout the world after Zhao State unifies the world?

As for the Kingly Way of the Zhou Emperor advocated by Confucius, by this time, no longer had a normal-minded Confucian scholar who felt that the Kingly Way of the Zhou Emperor could have the opportunity to reappear in the world.

So Zhao Dan no longer hesitated and said to Xunzi seriously: "I want to use Mr. as a lieutenant to help me choose capable people and promote officials. I wonder if Mr.?"

As soon as Zhao Dan said this, Xunqiu did not react first, but Xunqiu's two disciples Li Si and Han Fei were both excited.

This is a lieutenant of Zhao State! One of the six ministers of Zhao State, he is the perfect leader of Zhao State!
