Chapter 34 Hostility

Most of the time a naval soldier refers to the invasion of pirates.

Especially when the sergeant was so panicked.

Vito originally thought so, but when he calmed the other party's emotions and asked clearly after a few words, he realized that things seemed different from what he expected.

No trace of the pirate ship was found in the port, but someone found Lieutenant Colonel Ruf who was unconscious on a lifeboat that was floating in.

The lifeboat was empty, and there was no one except him. No matter how many naval soldiers he had been with him or the pirates he had escorted, they were gone.

"It's a big deal, indeed."

Looking at the sergeant who had finally breathed a lot and explained the matter clearly, Vito frowned and thought about it, and directly ordered:

"I'll inform Colonel Heck, you can go back to the communication room and use a loudspeaker to notify all soldiers of emergency assembly."

Although there was no sign of a pirate ship in the port for the time being, Lieutenant Colonel Ruf, who was unconscious, was most likely attacked by the pirates during the escort.

The branch finally needs to make some emergency precautions to avoid pirates following the lifeboat chasing along the road.

"Yes, Captain!"

Some of the reputation that Vito has initially established in the past two days is still useful. The sergeant turned around without hesitation and left without hesitation to execute Vito's orders.

Soon, this amazing news spread throughout the branch base. The soldiers who came back from a brief shock began to assemble next to the base gate under the command and dispatch of the captain.

The only person who was confused for a long time and couldn't react was probably Heck.

Poor Mr. Colonel, he finally got up and experienced the leisurely life of drinking coffee in his dream of relying on the fireplace, but he did not expect that the happy day would have to face such a terrible emergency.

He was very frowning and asked Vito carefully whether he would rush over in person. When the latter saw him like this, he refused directly, asking him to stay at the branch base to take charge of the overall situation. He took some soldiers to the port to check the specific situation.

"I don't know who Lieutenant Colonel Ruf met, but he was the only one who escaped in the end."

Captain Ibuprofen, who rushed to the gate with Vito, was full of worry on the road:

"Now the warship is gone, and dozens of colleagues have been missing. No matter what happened, this is the biggest loss our 78 branch has suffered in recent years!"

Just a few dozen people and a warship are already the biggest loss...

Vito was speechless. Located in Branch 78 of this Blizzard Island, he was indeed used to peaceful life without fighting with the world and had never seen many cruel war scenes with blood flying everywhere.

"How many warships do the branch have in total now?" He suddenly thought of this and asked casually.

"There are six ships in total, but four of them are small patrol ships, and there are only two main warships that can be used for combat."

Captain Ibuprofen smiled helplessly, "Lieutenant Colonel Ruf escorted the pirates to the G-2 branch this time, and the main battleship was called, so there is only one left now..."

It's so poor.

Vito looked up at the branch fortress with only four floors, turned his head to look at the magnificent city hall building next door, thinking about whether he should switch the two places in the future after controlling this island to be worthy of the name of the Navy branch base.

This is not an easy task.

Behind the city hall, it is obviously the authority of the two major families. His current official identity is not even qualified to contact these two major families, so his primary goal at the moment is to be promoted to school officials first.

At the gate.

More than 400 naval soldiers stationed in the base have all assembled.

But the one who stood in front with his hands behind his back was not the Sethi that Vito imagined, but a hook-nosed man he had never seen before.

The hook-nosed man was about the age of thirties, with dark purple curly hair and a gloomy face. After noticing Vito and Ibuprofen coming, he just took a cold look, then turned his eyes back and continued to scan the soldiers in front of him.

"This is Major Benjamin."

Ibuprofen whispered in Vito's ear, "He was promoted by Lieutenant Colonel Ruf. He may dislike you, those who come with Colonel Heck. Vito, be careful."

"I understand, thank you."

Vito nodded slightly.

There are only two majors in the 78 branch base. When they arrived at the base the day before yesterday, the major they saw in the building was gentle and honest, somewhat similar to ibuprofen, and they were considered to be a marginal person who did not participate in the power struggle at the base.

The Major Benjamin in front of him was obviously not so easy to deal with. Not only was he looked sinister, but he was also Lieutenant Colonel Ruf's confidant, and naturally had a conflict of interest with those outsiders.

"Why haven't I seen him these days?"

While there was still some way to the gate, Vito lowered his voice and asked ibuprofen.

"I don't know, but Major Benjamin rarely comes to the base, either to attend cocktail parties held by two major families, or to be in brothels and... well, you know, fooling around."

Ibuprofen curled his lips, "If I hadn't heard that something happened to Lt. Col. Ruf, I guess the next time we saw him at the base would have happened several weeks later."

"Oh, by the way."

He seemed to remember something and added, "Before Colonel Heck came, he was nominally responsible for the two years of daily training, but you have also seen the effect of the specific implementation..."

Vito immediately understood.

At this time, the two of them had already arrived at the gate. He stopped talking to Ibuprofen. After standing still, he saluted Major Benjamin first, and then extended his hand:

"Hello, Mr. Benjamin! I met for the first time. I was Vito. I just followed Mr. Heck to the base for a few days. From now on, we will be colleagues from the same base. Please take care of it."

His voice was full of affinity, and his appearance was full of strength. In the past few days, Benjamin glanced at his outstretched hand and had no intention of shaking hands.

"No need to say more about these nonsense. I recognize you. It has been a big show in the past two days, Captain Vito."

He sneered, not hiding the sarcasm in his words.

"I have only been here for a few days. No one in the entire base doesn't know you. Wherever I go, I can hear those idiot recruits talking about you. I am just a major with a free job. Where can I be qualified to take care of you?"
