Chapter 718 The Last Manchuria

The attacks at the South Gate are much more intense and cruel than those at the North Gate.

The Shun Army invested 6,000 troops, including the Liaodong Jurchen Volunteer Braves, and the artillery brigade belonging to the Seventh Army attacked the South Gate of Chenyang.

The Liaodong Jurchen Volunteer Braves is an independent brigade under the command of the Seventh Army. It is mainly composed of the former Manchu-Mongolian Eight Banners soldiers who surrendered in Liaodong. The total force is 1,400 people. The brigade leader (Biaotong) is the former guard of Manchuria Gaizhou City, and the deputy brigade leader is Geng Yunsheng, Han Zhangjing, Jinzhou.

As the first former Eight Banner general in Liaodong to surrender to the Shun Army, Hashner was highly valued by the former seventh town general Li Huajing, and adopted his son Mi Sihan as his adopted son and gave the name Li Rongbao to the Chinese name.

Afterwards, Hashner led more than 300 Jurchen soldiers who surrendered to the Shun Army to assist the Seventh Town in fighting against the Qing army. In the Battle of Chenyang, He Luohui rushed to the flag regardless of his personal safety to ensure that the main force could retreat calmly. Li Huajing called him "Har-bold".

After Gao Jie arrived in Liaodong, he began to reorganize the various divisions in Liaodong, and specially transferred all the former Eight Banners soldiers to each division to form an independent brigade (organized as one standard) under the Seventh Army. Therefore, in a strict sense, the Battle of Shenyang was also the first battle after the independent brigade formed.

Regarding who was appointed as the independent captain (Biaotong), Li Huajing strongly recommended Hashner to Gao Jie, and eventually made Hashner take up this position and officially became a general in the Dashun army.

Unlike Li Huajing who drove the Korean soldiers to act as cannon fodder to attack the city, Gao Jie attached great importance to this independent army composed of the former Eight Banners soldiers. Before the war, he drew a large number of armor and clothes from various units for use by the Jurchen Volunteer Braves, and even dozens of iron armor, shields, crossbows, and big swords and spears. In addition, he was equipped with 300 war horses, making the Volunteer Braves armed to the teeth.

Like the siege battle commanded by Li Huajing, the Shun Army at the South Gate also first bombarded the Shenyang city wall with artillery.

When the two sides were shelling, more than 6,000 siege infantry of the Shun Army marched towards the city of Chenyang in three square formations, with dense shields erected above each square formation.

As the Shun Army advanced, the Qing army's counterattack became more and more powerful. Various artillery bombarded the city without hesitation, causing great casualties to the Shun Army.

However, the sound of war drums from the Shun Army siege was constantly changing, and more than a dozen devices similar to stone throwers appeared from behind the Shun Army.

Before the Qing army could figure out what those high devices were, the "Breaking King's Bag" that had left a shocking impression on the Qing army in the pass was thrown to the top of Chenyang City, and then there were loud noises that shook the sky. Under each loud noise, a large number of Qing soldiers were either shocked to death or fell from the city like a kite with broken strings.

More than a dozen cannons placed on the city were also blown by the fallen "Breaking King Bag" so that they either flew into the air or could no longer be used.

There are also many people in the Qing army who were killed and injured by falling from mid-air.

Many Qing soldiers were oozing blood out of their mouths, ears, noses and eyes. They couldn't hear or see, and couldn't shout, either holding something back and forth in the void with their hands, rolling on the ground, or leaning against the corner of the wall like a zombie.

A "Breaking King's Bag" happened to land on the city gate tower, but with a loud bang, bricks and tiles splashed everywhere, and the three-story city gate tower collapsed, burying all the dozens of Eight Banners soldiers hiding inside.

The bodies of the two Manchu soldiers were smashed in half by the large bronze bell hanging in the air in the gatehouse, and they were smashed in half.

When the upper body and the legs were separated, the two Manchu soldiers were not in pain. When the huge pain invaded their nerves, they did not even have the strength to scream.

One looked at the upper body close to the big bronze bell in horror, and the other was pushing his hands forward with both hands, bringing out a long stain of blood.

An old Manchu in her fifties is lucky and not lucky.

Fortunately, when the bronze bell fell, he squatted straight down. As a result, the bronze bell immediately covered him in the bell, so that his body did not divide it in half like two companions, which could be said to be unscathed.

Unfortunately, the loud noise made by the bronze bell when it fell to the ground shocked him on the spot.

When he woke up, his ears were still buzzing, and his eyes were even darker. He tried hard to hit the bronze bell, trying to let people outside hear the noise to save him.

However, there was a ruin outside, and the bronze bell was buried in bricks and tiles.

A few days later, when the ruins were cleaned up, people discovered the bronze bell buried in it.

When the bronze bell was hung up by hundreds of people for all their efforts, they found that there was a thin old man inside.

This old man is also the only survivor in Shenyang City.

His name is Waiku, and his old Manchu surname is Niuhulu.

The 180 packages of "Breaking King's Bags" allocated by the camp were used in the southern city of Shenyang by Gao Jie without hesitation. The amazing explosion of the "Breaking King's Bags" did not disappoint Gao Jie, and even turned some areas into "no man's land".

The huge explosion scattered the Qing army's souls and also made the siege of the Shun army.

Hashner is even more glad that he made a wise decision as early as last year, otherwise he and his tribe members would have been killed by the brutal Han people.

After experiencing the baptism of the "Breaking King's Bag", there are no more than ten people who survived.

When He Luo, who was rushing from the north gate, ran up to the city wall and found the mess and dead bodies everywhere, he subconsciously took a breath of air conditioning.

Under the city, the siege Shun Army, filled with cotton in his ears, took advantage of the Qing army's howling in the city by the King of Breaking the city, and quickly rushed to the city like a tide through the range of Qing army artillery.

Ladders were erected on the city wall, and the deathly men in double armor held big swords and climbed the ladder with their hands.

After the Qing army on the city came to their senses, they immediately began to fight back.

Thanks to the deployment of He Luohui, the number of Qing troops stationed at the South Gate of Shenyang was the largest. This made a large number of Qing troops quickly climb up from the city to take over the battle posts of the dead compatriots, and fought to the death on the bodies of their compatriots and fought to the death to stop the Han army under the city from attacking the city.

A typical siege battle was staged in Shenyang South City.

At the same time, the east and west gates of Shenyang were also attacked by the Shun Army, but the siege forces were obviously inferior to those of the south gate, which played a role in siege.

Li Huajing, who was unfavorable to attack the North Gate, also received Gao Jie's military order, which ordered him to attack the city again immediately. He would never allow the Qing army in the North Gate to separate people to reinforce the South Gate.

The shouts of killing and various shouts resounded over Shenyang, horrifying the women and children in the outer city and the inner city. They could not fight like men, and could only kneel in front of various statues of gods and pray that God could bless the last Manchuria.
