Chapter 56: When Destiny Opens

Section 1

Harry and Hermione hid behind the bushes and waited for a long time, seeing Lupin and others clumsyly emerge from the tree hole and then heading towards the castle. As they had experienced, when the clouds dissipated and the full moon was revealed, Lupin became a werewolf.

Seeing all this, Harry was excited and gasping, his hands couldn't help holding the wand.

"Harry," Hermione murmured as if she knew exactly what he was thinking, "we can only stop and stay in place. We must not be seen. We can't do anything now..."

"Then we're going to let Pet Peter escape again..." Harry said calmly. "How can we find a mouse in the dark?"

"We can't do anything!" Hermione sternly said, "We are back to help Sirius, and we shouldn't do anything else!"

Harry resisted the impulse and watched Sirius and werewolf tangle together, while Peter ran away while he took advantage of the chaos. Harry clenched his fists tightly and watched the dwarf disappear into the bushes in anger and helplessness.

In order to save Harry, Snape attracted the attention of the werewolf. Just as the werewolf rushed to him, he was knocked down by Black and rolled down the hill.

"We'll do something." Harry couldn't help it, and he grabbed his wand and bent down to run towards the hillside.

"You're crazy, Harry," cried Hermione, "there are all dementors below, and that will kill us."

Harry ignored her, Hermione gritted her teeth, unbuttoned Buckbeck's rope, and followed. They ran down the hillside and went around the other side of the lake. They could see a large number of dementors gathering, surrounding themselves and Black across the lake.

Harry and Hermione hid behind the bushes, staring desperately through the gaps between the leaves, waiting for the mysterious wizard to appear. The more dementors gathered, the silver flashes on the other side suddenly went out, and Harry shivered in fear.

However, no one came. Harry looked up at the circle of dementors by the lake, and they were about to take action. The Savior should be here at this time - but no one came to help...

At this time, Harry suddenly realized that the patron sage was released by him, and he had not seen anyone else, that was himself.

Harry jumped out from behind the bushes and held up his wand—"Call the Gods!" he shouted.

The huge silver-white stag appeared, shining with light, and rushed along the lake to the opposite shore. The dementors seemed to be frightened and suddenly dispersed, but then something that terrified Harry happened - there were too many dementors, and his patron saint could not dispel them.

"Damn it." Harry shouted in his heart, he tried his best to concentrate on his happiness, but it was useless. The dementors were about to succeed, they would suck Black, Hermione and his own soul, and at this moment he could only watch and could not help.

"Why, why don't I have the strength!" Harry hated his incompetence and his weakness. He could not save Sirius, Hermione, or himself - he had never longed for power as he is now.

"What I can do - what I can do - I want to defeat them!" Harry shouted, "Guardian!!!"

In an instant, it seemed as if the flames were lit from the depths of the soul, and dazzling white light gushed out from the tip of Harry's staff, accompanied by a powerful and terrifying magic wave. The silver stag on the lake became bigger, emitting dazzling white light, and white flames were burning all over his body, submerging everything around him in a piece of light. Most dementors instantly turned into nothingness in the light, and the few who survived all fled in panic.

On the other side of the lake, Sauron had just arrived. At the moment when the dazzling light burst out, he was shocked and the black flames ignited, surrounding him.

It seemed as if a stone was thrown into the calm lake, stirring up layers of ripples and spreading into the distance - a distant island, on the towering lonely tower, a decayed old man raised his head, and his originally turbid eyes reflected the light; in the dark forest, Voldemort, who was like smoke and clouds, suddenly realized and looked into the distance solemnly; in the Castle of Hogwarts, Dumbledore walked to the window and stared at the light that seemed to illuminate the heaven and earth.

"Saint Prison..." Sauron looked at the other side with a complicated expression and murmured in a low voice.

Harry stood by the lake, like his patron saint, thin white flames ignited from the tip of his wand and slowly extended, like a robe draped on him, gorgeous and sacred. Harry did not respond to this, and he quietly watched everything in front of him, and the patron saint ran back to him, and the light surrounded Harry.

"Harry." Hermione ran over, "I can't believe you did..."

Before Hermione could finish her words, she retreated in horror. Harry turned around, his face faded as if he was looking at a stranger. In his emotionsless eyes, his narrow and crescent pupils were shining with cold silver light.

Harry looked at Hermione like that, her uneasy face reflected in her silver pupils.

"Harry, what's wrong with you? Don't scare me!" Hermione forced her courage and shouted loudly, "I'm Hermione, wake up, Harry, wake up."

"Hermione..." Harry murmured in a low voice, a slight fluctuation appeared in his calm eyes as deep as a pool. Suddenly, the white flame disappeared, and the patron saint turned into light and dissipated in the air. Harry looked at Hermione deeply, and then fainted on the ground.

"Recover quickly!" Hermione said again and again. Finally, Harry slowly opened his eyes. He looked in confusion, and finally focused his eyes on Hermione's anxious and pale face.

"Hermione, what's wrong with me?" Harry asked weakly, "Where are dementors, and Sirius..."

Before Harry could finish his words, Hermione rushed to him and started crying. After a while, she calmed down.

"What the hell happened, Hermione?" Harry pushed Hermione away awkwardly and said in confusion, "Why did I faint..."

"It's a long story, I'll tell you slowly in the future." Hermione wiped her eyes, "We have to hurry up, there's not much time left, we have to go and save Sirius."

"Oh, well." Harry was completely awake now, although he still couldn't remember what happened.

In order to hurry, Harry and Hermione rode on Buckbeck, the eagle horse spread its huge wings, and the two flew towards the castle. After the two left, the black mist began to gather, and Sauron's figure appeared. He looked at the two people who were gradually moving away, with a complicated expression.

Harry and Hermione found Sirius locked in the office, and the three of them left the tower on the eagle horse. After that, Black rode Buckbeck and fled Hogwarts. Harry and Hermione breathed a sigh of relief. Now that there was not much time, the two carefully avoided the others and returned to the ward of the school hospital in time.

Dumbledore was exiting the room, closing the door, pulling out his wand to lock the door with magic. Harry and Hermione ran forward in panic. Dumbledore looked up and smiled under his long lips.

"We did it!" Harry said in anger, "Sirius is gone, riding Buckbeck..."

Dumbledore looked at them with a smile on his face.

"Good job. I think-" He listened nervously to whether there was any noise in the school hospital. "Okay, I think you guys are leaving too. Go in - I want to lock you up."

Harry and Hermione slipped back to the ward, Dumbledore smiled at them and locked the door. Then, he turned and walked to a corner next to him.

Sauron emerged from the shadows, and he looked at Dumbledore with anger in his cold eyes.

"Why did you do this?" Sauron's voice was gloomy and cold, "You almost killed Harry!"

"I did nothing, that was the choice made by Harry, Sauron." Dumbledore said calmly, his deep eyes staring at Sauron, "Neither me nor you can change it. Fate always puts difficult choices before us, and we cannot escape."

"Go to his fate!" Sauron's suppressed anger burst out, "I almost lost my brother, but you pushed all this to a damn fate! You know very well what just happened. You pushed him onto a path of no return that you can't turn back. One mistake was the bottomless abyss. This is unfair, why should Harry bear this curse-like everything."

"It's hard to believe that the word fairness will be spoken from you, Sauron." Dumbledore looked at Sauron's eyes, "Anger has made you lose your mind. Sauron, this fate is unfair. After so much, you know it now. All this has happened, and it was destined as soon as everyone made a choice. Neither me nor you could blame it. All we can do is face it bravely."

Sauron took a deep breath with trembling and looked at Dumbledore, his lips trembled slightly. After a long time, he sighed helplessly and turned away silently. His thin back looked lonely and sad, like a wounded lonely wolf.
