Dragon and the Goblet of Fire Chapter 9 Strange Birds
Section 1
When the morning Yang Pass appeared in a wisp from the horizon, the camp that had been silent for a night gradually became noisy. Outside a tent on the edge of the camp, Sauron and Furong surrounded a small bonfire, with a pot of water boiling water on the fire. Sauron squatted by the fire, carefully adding thin branches to it, while the girl sat aside, reading quietly, and lazily black phoenix lying on her shoulders.
"Dear, there is a fully equipped kitchen in our tent." Sauron stood up and looked at the girl and said.
"Yeah, yes." The girl didn't look up, but Fubertol raised her head and looked at him with her shiny eyes.
"Uh, okay." He smiled helplessly when he saw the sly smile at the corner of the girl's mouth.
Soren struggled for a while before boiling the water, because the bonfire was too small and the pot was too big. The more important problem was that the girl was staring tightly and he was not allowed to use magic. Soren brewed two cups of tea and sat with the girl in his cup. The water vapor rising in the cup mixed with the fragrance of tea, giving people a different kind of warmth in this slightly cold morning.
"I'm going to see Mrs. Maxim today." The girl leaned against Sauron, took a sip of tea, and said a little abruptly.
"Madam Maxim?" Soren raised his eyebrows, "Bothbaton's principal?"
The girl nodded, "Madam Maxim will come to watch the game today, and they have been training for the previous holidays." She paused, "I guess you know, they are preparing for the Triple Championship soon."
"Three Strong Championship, well, I've heard that the Ministry of Magic has spent a lot of effort on that." Sauron said indifferently. He was stunned for a moment when he said this, turned his head to look at the girl beside him, "You don't want to participate."
"Of course, I will participate in the competition on behalf of Boothbaton." The girl said slightly stiffly, "I am the best in Boothbaton."
Looking at the girl with a frown, Soren smiled embarrassedly. It was obvious that her disdain when talking about the championship made her a little angry. He held the girl flatteringly and said apologetically: "Sorry, my dear, I don't know you will participate."
"Now you know." The girl struggled for a moment in anger, then leaned into Sauron's arms again, "Will you participate?"
"Uh, probably not." Sauron said, and he waved his hand to drive away the somewhat inconvenient Fuberto's. The Black Phoenix screamed in dissatisfaction and dived into the bonfire and disappeared.
Sauron ignored the Black Phoenix unrighteously and felt the temperature of the girl in his arms. He slowly said: "You know that the Championship was founded more than 700 years ago. It was originally just a kind of friendship competition between the three largest magic schools in Europe, but later it gradually became too political, and the competition process became more and more cruel."
"So the championship was interrupted for a while?" the girl asked.
"Yes, there will be casualties every time. At the worst, all three contestants died. A large number of extremely excellent young wizards died in the championship. Later, the decision-makers realized that compared to the benefits they received, such sacrifices were too expensive, so the triple competition was interrupted." Sauron sighed. "This time, the politicians compromised through various parties and took a lot of effort to restore the championship. Although the competition process would be much safer, the ultimate goal would never be to make friends with young wizards from all countries - they wanted to show the strength of their own young generation through the championship, use relatively harmonious means to gain benefits for themselves and attack their opponents."
The fire in the fire was about to extinguish. Soren pulled out his wand and pointed at the bushes not far away. Several lush bushes dried up into dead branches in a blink of an eye, and then they were split into thin strips by invisible force and flew into the bonfire. Soren's movement was very small and he did not chant a spell, so the girl leaning in his arms did not notice that he was obviously incompatible with the regulations.
"It sounds disgusting." Furong frowned and said in a low mood. "I thought the championship was a good place to prove my own worth."
"Haha, this is inevitable." Sauron smiled. He looked at the fire again and found that the flames had become stable. He continued, "Actually, for you, you don't have to care about these things. The championship is indeed a good place to prove yourself - courage, wisdom, strength and perseverance. The excellent qualities of these accomplished strong people are all considered in the championship. Just like you, my good girl, I believe you have all the qualities above, in addition to this, you must also add a moving beauty and kind and pure heart."
"But you still didn't say why you participated in the competition." The girl said keenly, she pressed her hand on Sauron's hand and gently stroked it, "Don't tell me you think the competition is too boring."
"Well, maybe there are reasons for this." Soren said for granted. When he felt the girl's hand tighten, he immediately added: "You know, the demigod must not interfere in politics easily. My identity is too sensitive. If I participate in this obviously political competition, it will probably cause too much unnecessary trouble."
In this way, the two snuggled together and chatted while drinking tea. It was not until the camp became popular again that they packed up the tea sets, put out the bonfire, and prepared to go to the center of the camp to meet Mrs. Maxim.

Section 2
Harry and his group spent a lot of time walking through many strange tents and found the place they booked at the end of the camp near the forest. After some hard work, they set up two tents, just like Sauron's, which were also magically smeared, and it looked like a small apartment. The only problem was that the boys had a pungent cat smell inside, which made Harry very uncomfortable.
After they settled down, Mr. Weasley stubbornly wanted to set up a fire outdoors and cook a breakfast in the form of a Muggle. So Harry, Ron and Hermione had to helplessly carry the kettle and stew pot to fetch water at the water intake on the other side of the camp.
At this time, the sun had just risen and the mist gradually dissipated. They saw tents everywhere, and they could not see at first sight. They slowly walked through the tents, looking around with interest. Harry then realized that there were so many male and female wizards in the world, and he had never thought about wizards from other countries before.
As the game approached, supporters of Ireland and Bulgaria began to clearly express their position - the tents of Ireland fans were covered with thick layers of clover, which looked like countless strange green hills emerged from the ground; while the fans of Bulgaria posted the same posters on the tent, with a very gloomy face with thick black eyebrows. Of course, the picture was active, but the face was frowning except for blinking.
"Who is that?" Hermione asked in a low voice.
"Krum." Ron said, looking at Hermione with wide eyes, as if she was surprised that she didn't know Krum, "Victor Krum, Bulgaria's goalkeeper."
"He looks so gloomy," said Hermione, watching the countless Krums around him wink at them and frown.
"It's so gloomy?" Ron rolled his eyes up, "Who cares about his appearance? He's so amazing! And he's very young, only about eighteen years old. He's a genius, you'll see it tonight."
They walked and talked, and after a while they arrived at the faucet in a corner of the camp where a small group had already lined up, and the two witches standing on their side were arguing about one of them's weird clothes. They were no longer surprised by this situation. Many wizards could not understand what the normal thing Muggles saw, just like the old witch beside them - he was wearing a long ladies' printed pajamas.
"Look, many wizards know nothing about Muggle life." Hermione hummed, looking at Ron, "especially those wizards born in pure blood families."
Ron could only smile awkwardly at this. After all, as Hermione said, even a pure-blooded wizard family like the Weasleys who like Muggles do not know much about Muggles. Mr. Weasley is a typical example.
"It seems that the wizard living in the tent must be a Muggle Pass," Harry replied, pointing to a tent not far away and said, "It is a standard Muggle outdoor tent. Uncle Vernon's house has a similar one, but it is much larger than this one. This one is too small for Dali's big guy."
Hermione and Ron were amused by Harry's words. It was their turn to fetch water. They placed the pot and pot under the faucet. Harry subconsciously raised his head and glanced at the tent again. The sun was gradually rising, and the sunlight came from behind the tent, illuminating the outline of the tent clearly.
"That's it." Harry was stunned for a moment. He could see clearly. On the top of the tent, a strange crow-like bird stopped quietly. It had a black body like a crow. Under the sunlight, a trace of black mist rose. It seemed that he could feel Harry's gaze. The strange bird turned his head and looked at him.
Harry's eyes couldn't help but tighten - there was only a strange yellow eye on the bird's head, and the erect pupils were filled with a cold and evil aura. Harry stared at the bird, and for some reason, an inexplicable sense of hatred surged from his heart, and the noise around him disappeared, as if the whole world was gone; the strange bird in his eyes disappeared, replaced by a black flame, a twisted and painful face appeared and disappeared in the flames.
Harry stared at the flame like this, as if it had been a long time, but in fact it was only a moment. When Hermione saw Harry calling him in a daze, Harry suddenly retreated from that strange state.
"What are you looking at, Harry?" Hermione asked.
"Hmm? Oh, nothing." Harry said perfunctorily, but he still looked in the direction of the tent.
There is nothing there now. It seems that the strange bird like a crow has never appeared before, as if everything just happened to him was just his hallucination...
