Chapter 239 The general escapes
In 1938, the Japanese army attacked from north to south, and broke through in the middle, and the Qingbai Party collapsed thousands of miles away.
The so-called north-south attack refers to the Northern Legion taking over Beiping and Tianjin; the Southern Legion taking over the Magic Capital and Jinling, the Central Legion landed from Qingdao, and the three Japanese troops advanced westward, trying to sweep the entire China.
At the same time, the Japanese Northern Legion supported a "North China Provisional Government" in North China, with the leaders of Wang Kemin, Tang Erhe, Qi Xieyuan, Dong Kang and others.
The Southern Legion supported a "Reform Government of the Republic of China" in the southeast, which was another small court, which governed the three provinces of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, and two major cities, the Magic City and Jinling. The leaders were Liang Hongzhi, Wen Zongyao, Chen Qun and others.
Some of these people may be forced, but since they have become important members of hostile forces, they are all considered traitors. The great traitor, David Wang, had not had time to take the stage at this time.
1938 was the most rampant year for the Japanese army, and China produced several "escape generals". These "escape generals" were not easy, and some people had difficulties behind escaping.
Let me talk about Han Fuju here.
Han Fuju is a native of Bazhou City, Hebei Province and one of Feng Yuxiang's "Thirteen Taibaos" under Feng Yuxiang. Han Fuju left home at the age of 19 and later joined the army camp. He made his fortune by being good at fighting and also being knowledgeable in literature and writing. During the Northern Expedition, he fought fiercely and rushed through the pass and killed generals. He was the first Northern Expedition general to lead his army to the city of Beijing.
There were more or less personal conflicts between Han Fuju and Mr. Qing. Less than a few months after Han Fuju defected to Mr. Qing, he found that the financial support he had promised was almost nothing, so he had a premeditated plan to resist. When Han Fuju was appointed as the chairman of Shandong Province, he repeatedly attacked Mr. Qing's confidants in Shandong, trying to squeeze Mr. Qing's power out of the land of Qilu. In the Xi'an Incident, Han Fuju sent a telegram to support Zhang Xueshan, deepening the conflict between the two.
After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japan in 37 years, Han Fuju served as deputy commander-in-chief of the Fifth War Zone and commander-in-chief of the Third Army, responsible for commanding Shandong military and undertaking the Yellow River defense. He rejected the Japanese's "Five North China Provinces Autonomy" plan and personally commanded on the front line. He experienced night attacks on Sangyuan Station, bloody battles in Dezhou, defending Linyi, encounters with Jiyang, battles in Tuhai River, battles in Jinan, night attacks on Dawenkou and other battles.
That winter, the Korean army suffered heavy losses. The three Korean divisions in Texas suffered more than half of the losses. In addition, when the war was about to be fought, Mr. Qing distrusts him and transferred the Central Army heavy artillery brigade to him to Tang Enbo's army. Han Fuju was resentful and almost retreated without fighting in order to retain strength for his direct troops. He voluntarily gave up the natural danger of Mount Tai in the Yellow River, and within a few days he abandoned the Yellow River defense line that was originally expected to be guarded for several weeks.
After Han Fuju left Jinan, Li Zongren sent a telegram to him to defend Tai'an. Han Fuju replied: "If Jinling does not defend, why guard Tai'an." Li answered the telegram and was furious again, he transferred Han's telegram to Mr. Qing, saying that Han Fuju did not obey the command. On the other hand, he secretly contacted Liu Xiang, the chairman of the Sichuan Provincial Government, in an attempt to jointly launch an anti-Chiang movement. Han Fuju's actions made Mr. Qing make up his mind to clear him.
On January 19, 2018, the Qingbai Party formed a high military justice meeting to trial, with He Yingqin as the presiding judge, Lu Zhonglin, He Cheng as the presiding judge, and Jia Huanchen as the military judge. However, during the trial, Han Fuju only raised his head and smiled, without a reply, and without asking for forgiveness. At around 7 p.m. on the 24th, he was escorted by spies outside Wuchang City and executed by shooting.
Later, Mr. Qing was persuaded by his subordinates to bury him after his subordinates, because Han Fuju was a second-level general and the chairman of a province. Han Fuju's coffin was buried in the Jigongshan Cemetery at the junction of Henan and Hubei. In 1954, Han Fuju's coffin was approved by the People's Government and moved his children to Wan'an Cemetery in Xiangshan, Beijing for burial.
Let’s talk about the “Long-Legged General” Liu Zhi again.
After the "Lugou Bridge" Incident, Liu Zhi was appointed commander-in-chief of the Second Army of the First War Zone, and led his troops from Kaifeng to Baoding to defend along Pinghan Road.
The Japanese army was invaded by the fall of Pingjin, and the Japanese army was arrogant and launched an offensive from Beiping and Tianjin in three ways. They attacked Zhuo County, Baoding and Shijiazhuang along the Pinghan Line; they invaded south from the Jinpu Line and directly attacked Cang County and Dezhou; the other line ran along the Pingsui Line and exited the south exit to Jin Chasui.
Liu Zhi defended Zhuozhou with his main force, and Sun Lianzhong's army defended Liangxiang on Pinghan Road, Wanfu Lin army defended Gu'an, and Sun Dianying's Ying army guarded Mentougou, and formed three lines of defense. He himself was in charge of Baoding command. In early August, the Feng Anbang division of Sun Lianzhong's army confronted the Japanese riverside brigade in Doujiadian southwest of Liangxiang. Since August 21, the two armies have been fierce artillery fire, but the Sun army was eventually unable to support due to weak forces, and Liangxiang and Fangshan were both trapped in the enemy.
At the same time, the Japanese army smuggled across the Yongding River from Gu'an, and used planes and cannons to rush the right-wing Wanfulin position. In just one day, tens of thousands of troops were defeated and penetrated directly into Baoding. Liu Zhi was panicked and led his headquarters to flee south along the Pinghan Line. He fled to Shijiazhuang in one breath, and handed over the military power to Shang Zhen and Huang Shaohong.
Liu Zhi fled without fighting and handed over the land of North China to the Japanese invaders. People at that time gave him a nickname "Long-Legged General".
However, the Chinese army still has remarkable battles, such as the Great Wall Battle, the Pingxingguan victory, and the bloody battle in Taierzhuang.
The Taierzhuang Battle started from March 16 to April 15, 2018.
During the fierce battle lasted for one month, about 290,000 Chinese troops participated in the war, and about 50,000 Japanese troops participated. China suffered more than 50,000 casualties, and about 20,000 Japanese troops were killed or injured (the Japanese army reported 11,984 casualties).
The battle was commanded by generals such as Li Zongren, Bai Chongxi, Sun Lianzhong, Tang Enbo, Zhang Zizhong, Tian Zhennan, Guan Linzheng, Chi Fengcheng, Wang Mingzhang and other generals. During the battle, Mr. Qing visited Xuzhou three times to inspect, supervise, and allocate troops, and the morale of the front-line soldiers was greatly boosted.
Gu Ruhu did not participate in this battle because his injuries were not healed, but the Sichuan Army performed very bravely.
Because Qin Di's skills have greatly reduced, he has remained in the Demon City and did not dare to directly interfere in the battle situation.
But he wrote a letter in person, and sent it to Mr. Qing’s desk with the economic information written by his third uncle Qin Hanxu.
After reading the letter, Mr. Qing immediately slapped the table and said, "Come here, please call Zhou Zhirou, commander of the Air Force!"
A long time later, Zhou Zhirou met.
Mr. Qing handed him the letter: "Look, the Qin family ordered 70 Hawk Three fighters, 80 F3F fighters, and 50 B10 bombers from the United States, donating them to the country. We hope that we will train pilots and send people to receive the planes."
Zhou Zhirou was surprised: "This is a big deal! There are 200 planes in total, and the Qin family has suffered heavy bleeding!"
Mr. Qing snorted: "The Qin family is not short of this money, the key is the attitude!"
