Chapter 109 Inaction Teaching

The peasant uprisings in various dynasties in China were mostly organized in religious form, among which the White Lotus Sect was the most widely influential branch. As early as the Southern Song Dynasty, Maoziyuan founded the Buddhist branch of the White Lotus Sect. Because the believers "careful onion milk, do not kill or drink alcohol", they were also called Bailiancai, which gradually evolved into the civil society organization Bailian Sect. During the Yuan Dynasty, differences occurred within the religion, and one of the factions began to resist the rule of the Yuan Dynasty. In the 11th year of Emperor Shun of Yuan, the government forced the recruitment of civil servants to block the Yellow River and lost its mouth, which triggered a national scale.

During the Red Turban Army's rebellion, the Red Turban Army had a close relationship with the White Lotus Sect. Zhu Yuanzhang repeatedly abolished the White Lotus Sect in the early Ming Dynasty. After the Qing Dynasty entered the pass, the White Lotus Sect members took resistance as their mission, advocated "the sun and the moon come back" and raised the banner of anti-Qing and restoring the Ming Dynasty. The Sichuan-Chu Bailos Sect Uprising in the late Qianlong period lasted for more than nine years until September of the sixth year of Jiaqing, which caused more than 200 prefectures and counties to ignite wars, and a large number of people were killed and injured in the war, spending a total of 200 million taels of silver. Jiaqing became a watershed in the rise and fall of the Qing Dynasty.

After this uprising, most of the tribes of the White Lotus Sect changed their appearances, and even brought up the banner of opposing the White Lotus Sect. For example, the Wuwei Sect, which Li Qiaoer believed, promoted in the doctrine: "The White Lotus Sect is hell, suffering from life and death; the White Lotus Sect will turn four lives and never turn over; the White Lotus Sect will coax others, money and good things; coax you to hell, and never turn over." This passage was read by Liu Jie in the seized book "The Five Sutras of Luo Zu". There is a sentence that made Liu Ji remember deeply, which said: "The Master kept the etiquette and Dharma, Laojun's security bag, and the Buddha kept the suffering. The three religions returned to one, the void was cut, and all laws returned to one piece."

It reminded Liu Ji of Yongzheng's delusion of combining Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. Overall, the content of the scriptures and Comrade Li's Dharma seems to be very similar. However, Liu Ji had to admit that the ideas of mutual assistance and equal wealth in these schools are promoted by "People who learn to save each other and die if they are in trouble, and they can travel around the world without holding a single chunk", "The followers first give some rice, and after entering the teaching, all the materials obtained in the teachings are divided equally", "People who learn to teach do not carry their merits, dress and eat without distinction between me", etc., such ideas of mutual assistance and equality between rich and poor are extremely tempting to the refugees who cannot live, and also pose a huge threat to the rulers.

"Miss Li is worthy of being the jade girl in Wuwei Sect. My singing just now gave me a lot of blessings, but did Snake Bai meet Xu Xian for a while?"

"The emperor has been too rewarded, but the little girl is just a little bored. I wonder how long the emperor plans to keep the little girl in lockdown. Doesn't he keep his words back?"

"What I said to Miss Li is absolutely counted. Deputy General Dong who is coming today is the person who has a specific contact with Miss Li."

"Then, the emperor will let the little girl go out today."

"Not busy, let's sit down and talk."

Li Qiaoer's room was no longer as before. The room was cleaned up, and the tables and chairs were placed. The three of them sat down around the table. Li Qiaoer first asked, "The emperor believed so much as a little girl, and he was not afraid that the little girl would betray the court in the future."

Li Qiaoer has experienced many vicissitudes at such a young age and is involved in all kinds of religions. What is rare is that she is dignified and generous in her expression without any charm.

When Liu Ji saw her asking, he spoke, "The court provided countless disaster relief every year, and many were exploited by bad officials. It was very rare to fall into the victims' real place. I am going to use Miss Li's hands to benefit the people, so why should I be afraid of Miss Li's betrayal?"

As Liu Ji said this, he reported his family's misfortune and calmly revealed the affairs of corrupt officials in the court. No wonder Li Qiaoer finally changed her attitude.

After these days of persuasion, Liu Ji felt that he could have expressed his ideas. He persuaded Li Qiaoer: "Ms. Li, as long as you tell me whereabouts of Wuwei's disciples, the court will catch them all in one place, and then Miss Li takes over Wuwei's disciples, and the court will secretly assist. In the future, the court allows Wuwei's disciples to preach, but they must change many inappropriate content in the doctrine. When the time is right, Wuwei's disciples will be changed to mutual aid association. Just as I and Miss Li said in the past, I am determined to be with Miss Li.

Let’s try our best to save the people of the world. Is this specific method? I’m considering this. First, deposit a batch of funds for the Mutual Aid Association in the Bank of China, and the court sends people to the Mutual Aid Association in various places as accounts. These people don’t care about the affairs, they just pay money. Those who are lonely, helpless, poor and helpless, Miss Li feels that they need help, even if they do good. Of course, since it’s called Mutual Aid Association, it’s mainly necessary to rely on the church members who join the society to help each other. The funds provided by the imperial court should only be used when it’s difficult.”

Li Qiaoer was moved by Liu Ji's words, and she asked back: "Why do you want a young woman to report to the people in the church? Even doing good deeds must start by betraying your conscience?"

"The court just moved these people to Heilongjiang, which would not ruin their lives. On the contrary, when they went there, the court gave money and goods, so that they could survive in the local area, and opened border Wujiang, and were good for the country and the people. How could we talk about betraying our conscience?"

In fact, the real reason why Liu Ji used this condition was to make Li Qiaoer closer to the court. In this way, Li Qiaoer would have some psychological shadows, which would make her farther away from the original Wuwei Cult, and would be easier to transform the Wuwei Cult in the future.

Liu Ji struck while the iron was hot and said: "In the future, I will persuade some wealthy families to donate their money to the Mutual Aid Association. By the way, the money accumulated by the Mutual Aid Association needs to be managed by professionals to ensure that all the reserved money is used to help the poor, and there are also means to make the money appreciate. In the future, I will find a professional to deal with this matter for you."

Li Qiaoer looked at Liu Ji with some complexity and said, "Since that's the case, the little woman can agree to your conditions. I heard that the emperor's words are all golden words, and it is an imperial edict that he said. This imperial edict - the little woman said it cannot be changed."

"Li Qiaoer, you don't have to turn around and provoke the emperor. I, Dong Haichuan, can tell you clearly that the emperor is wise and powerful, and he doesn't count the words he says."

Li Qiaoer was not angry with Dong Haichuan's words, so she told Dong Haichuan about the whereabouts of Zhang Yuankui and his group of Wuwei's first scholar.

In the capital city, Caishikou, in the basement of a tea house backyard.

Zhang Yuankui led the backbone of the sect to discuss the rescue of Li Qiaoer in the basement. For this huge problem, more than a dozen men in the room could only look at the oil lamp. Out of secret admiration for Li Qiaoer, Zhang Yuankui angrily slapped the table and said, "I don't believe that if I have the help of my mother, I can't invite the Jade Emperor's Heavenly Soldiers, and I can't save the Jade Girl in the sect."

As soon as he finished speaking, a man looking at the wind outside jumped in and said, "Go away quickly, the court hawk is here."

More than ten people in the room are obviously those who have experienced such storms and waves. They are not talking at the moment. Some people blew out the oil lamp, and some people lead the way to walk deeper into the basement.

Walking in the dark secret passage in the basement, Zhang Yuankui was full of doubts. Except for the core figures in the sect, no one else knew why the court hawks found this place. Could it be that there was a traitor in the sect? Zhang Yuankui secretly lined up the heads, and there were several suspicious people, which made it difficult for him to determine for a while. A light came in from the front. Zhang Yuankui looked up and saw that he was at the exit. The leader had just pushed the lid covering the opening and shouted: "Someone, go quickly."

The group of people panicked and retreated, but they could walk there and were blocked from front and back, and caught a turtle in a jar.
