Chapter 148 Dumbledore's Compensation

Dumbledore was obviously used to Snape's tough attitude.

The only time Snape showed weakness in front of him was when Evans came to beg him to save Lily.

“The original purpose of establishing the Quidditch competition in the school was to strengthen the cohesion of students, cultivate their brave and tenacious character, the quality of transcending themselves, the will to meet challenges, as well as their sense of competition, collaboration and fairness.

But Mr. Opener is so good that if he had been participating in the school Quidditch competition, then there would be no point in holding Quidditch because no one could surpass him and the result would have been determined before the game even started.

I'm afraid that after a few more games, even the other members of your Slytherin Quidditch team won't be training anymore, because they know they will win as long as Jerry is here.

This is not a good thing for the growth of you Slytherins and the students in the entire school!"

After hearing Dumbledore's words, Slytherin fell silent.

Indeed, if Jerry had been on the Slytherin team, Slytherin Quidditch games would always be victorious, because the games would be over as soon as they started.

But is this really good for the rest of the Slytherin team?

He trained hard, hoping to reflect his own value in the competition, but in the end, all the glory went to Jerry, and they were not even considered as foils.

If things continue to develop like this, it doesn't really seem to be a good thing, at least for the entire school.

School is not society. The purpose of school is to train students, not just to pursue victory. Only when there is suspense in the competition can everyone have the motivation to improve. Without suspense, it will become a stagnant water in the end.

"But this is not fair to Jerry!"

Although he knew that Dumbledore was right, it was very unfair in Snape's opinion to sacrifice Jerry's interests for the sake of the overall interests.

Dumbledore turned to look at Jerry and smiled:

"I just made a suggestion, and the decision is in Mr. Carmen's hands. If Mr. Carmen doesn't agree, then everything remains the same. If Mr. Carmen agrees, then I think I can give him some compensation!"

"No, I don't have any objections. I am willing to follow the arrangements of the principal and dean!"

Seeing Dumbledore looking at him, Jerry immediately showed a big smile.

Jerry didn't really care whether Dumbledore's decision to prevent him from continuing to participate in school Quidditch was really for the sake of the school or for Harry's fame.

Joining the Slytherin Quidditch team was originally for the Nimbus 2000 given by Snape and to enhance his reputation.

Now that he is a school legend and has joined the national Quidditch team, he no longer has to worry about reputation issues, so if Snape agrees, he is actually quite happy to not have to participate in school games.

Seeing Jerry taking the overall situation into consideration, Dumbledore nodded with satisfaction.

Snape finally sighed, and then said in a low voice:

"Since Jerry agrees, let's do what the principal says, but I want to know what kind of compensation the principal can give Jerry.

Although I felt sorry for Jerry, Snape, as Dean Slater, sometimes had to consider more. Now he could only see what kind of compensation he could get for Jerry.

"This depends on what kind of compensation Mr. Carmen needs. As long as it does not violate school rules, I will consider agreeing as appropriate!

Dumbledore smiled.

When Jerry heard this, he also showed two rows of white front teeth and made his request for compensation without any hesitation:

"Well, my dream is to become a righteous Auror, and it is said that to become an Auror you must have very strong magical abilities.

So, I was thinking that if Principal Dumbledore is not very busy, can he spare some time every week so that I can come over and ask for some magic advice!"

What could be more cost-effective than asking the greatest wizard of this century for magic!

King Gallon, after joining the national Quidditch team, he will definitely be in demand. Dumbledore will probably not agree to excessive requests, such as opening the restricted book section of the library to him.

So at this moment, the best thing Jerry could think of, and the condition Dumbledore could accept, was to ask for magic. This was in line with his studious personality, and it was also the best choice at the moment.

The professors at the school each have their own strengths, but in terms of comprehensive ability and understanding and application of magic, Dumbledore is definitely the most knowledgeable and powerful being in the entire wizarding world.

Being able to ask Dumbledore for magic will definitely increase his magical strength faster, especially now that he is trying to think of ways to combine the advantages of magic from the two worlds to sublimate the power of some similar types of magic.

But because the basics of magic are still somewhat unsatisfactory, the process is extremely slow.

I believe that if Dumbledore agrees to his conditions, this process will be accelerated a lot in the future.

"Okay, I promise you this compensation request!"

Dumbledore was a little surprised when he heard that the compensation proposed by Jerry was to allow him to take time off to teach him magic, but he didn't say much. After all, this compensation request was really nothing to him.

As the principal of Hogwarts, since he doesn't have to attend classes, he actually has a lot of leisure every day.

Most of them were studying various knitting methods of sweaters and socks in the principal's office, or eating some toffee, drinking some sweet drinks, and lying down to sleep for a while.

And as a principal himself, he has nothing against instructing students in magic. Before becoming the principal, he also taught Defense Against the Dark Arts and Transfiguration at Hogwarts.

It's just that the professors in the school now have very high standards, and they can make many mistakes in teaching students magic, so there is no need for him to do anything.

Since Jerry's compensation request was this, he agreed directly.

At this time, Snape, who was next to Jerry, also nodded.

Snape knew Jerry's magical talent best, because he made small talk about Jerry the most.

Sometimes even he can't fully answer some of the magical questions Jerry raises.

Because he is best at potions and black magic. Although he is not bad in other aspects, he is not top-notch.

Dumbledore is omnipotent and has almost reached the top level in all fields. With Dumbledore's guidance, he believes that Jerry's talents should be maximized.

Therefore, Snape also felt very good about Jerry's request for compensation.

After all conditions were negotiated, Snape and Jerry no longer stayed, said goodbye to Dumbledore, and left the principal's office.

"Dean, I quit, over to the Slytherin team.

In the corridor, Jerry pretended to show a hint of worry.

Snape waved his hand:
