Chapter 22 Iron Man's Gift

...

After breakfast, Haas put on his police uniform, with a rare serious face, called Jerry to the side.

"What, Dad? Did Elsa break your lightsaber collection again!"

Jerry looked at Haas, who had a somewhat serious expression, with a surprised look on his face. This was not like Haas's usual style.

"Ahem, that's not it!"

Haas coughed awkwardly, then straightened his face again and said:

"Jerry, you have been very sensible, kind and have a sense of justice since you were a child. These fathers are very pleased and very proud.

However, you are still a child after all. If you encounter the same situation as yesterday again, Dad hopes that you can think about protecting yourself first. Dad is only a son like you. If something happens to you..."

Yesterday, Haas learned at the police station that Jerry and Aisha's school bus had been hijacked by robbers, and he almost exploded.

Later, when I found the school bus and learned from Teacher Belle that Jerry had stood up and acted as a hostage on behalf of others, I felt mixed emotions in my heart.

As a police officer, Haas certainly strongly encouraged and approved of Jerry's behavior.

But as a father, how could Haas want his child to commit such a potentially life-threatening behavior?

Although Jerry is not his biological son, over the years, he has long regarded Jerry as his biological son.

So in the end, it was the father's position and the victorious police position. He would solemnly warn Jerry that next time he encounters such a situation, as a child, he must protect himself as soon as possible.

"I know Dad, I'm actually quite scared too. I won't do it next time!"

Jerry was not really a child, so he naturally understood Haas's painstaking efforts and nodded in agreement without any rebuttal.

However, the next time he encounters this kind of situation, the ordinary kid Jerry will certainly not take action, but the mysterious wizard boy will take action.

"That's good. You and Aisha are playing at home while I'm at work. If you need anything, call me!"

Haas was slightly relieved when he saw that there was no resistance or dissatisfaction on Jerry's face.

After all, Jerry's behavior is a very praiseworthy behavior. Anyone would praise Jerry on this matter, but as a father, he did not agree. He was afraid that if he said this today, Jerry would not understand and what would happen.

Bad reverse psychology.

But the result is obviously very good.

Jerry was as sensible as ever, extremely mature as usual, and it was easy to understand his painstaking efforts.

"Elsa, daddy has to go to work, why don't you kiss daddy?"

After talking to Jerry, it was not far from work time. Haas finally shouted to Elsa who was watching cartoons in the living room.

Aisha did not disappoint Haas. She jumped off the sofa, ran over and took a bite of Haas's big face.

"Dad, let's play a game before you go to work!"

"Game, what game?"

Haas was stunned for a moment.

"Let's compete to see who can hit him lightly. If you win, I'll let you go to work!"

Elsa looked at Haas with twinkling eyes and an innocent look on her face.

"Okay, that's too easy!"

Haas clenched his fist, and then tapped little Aisha's belly very, very lightly.

"It's my turn now!"

Aisha chuckled, then clenched her little fists, used all her strength, and shouted:

"The Ice Queen's Punishment!"

Then he hit Haas hard on the stomach, hitting Haas who was squatting on the ground and sat down on the ground.

"Okay, Dad, you win, go to work!"

After the fight, Elsa continued to watch cartoons without looking back, leaving Haas with a confused look on his face.

...

"jingle!"

At this time, the doorbell suddenly rang.

Haas opened the door and saw a courier boy holding a long large cardboard box and asked politely:

"Is Mr. Jerry Kamen home?"

"What do you want at home?"

Haas had a puzzled look on his face.

"This is his express delivery, please come out and sign for it!"

The courier boy placed the cardboard box on the ground.

"My express delivery, I didn't buy anything online?"

Jerry, who heard the sound, had the same confusion on his face.

He is an 11-year-old child who usually either exercises or looks for opportunities to earn little red stars. He doesn't even have access to the Internet. How can he buy something online, even such a big item?

The courier boy took a look at the courier note:

"It's a delivery from a lady named Virginia Pepper Potts!"

"This name seems familiar!"

While Jerry signed for the delivery, he recalled the few memories of Marvel movies in his mind.

"Is it Iron Man's girlfriend?"

"Oh, God, this is Iron Man's suit. It's so cool. Jerry, someone actually sent you a set of Iron Man's suit. This thing is not available in the world right now!"

While Jerry was trying to remember, Haas had already opened the carton and took out an Iron Man model machine that was the same size as Jerry, and looked very excited.

"Dad, Iron Man promised to give it to me when he rescued me yesterday. I thought he was joking, but I didn't expect that he really gave me a set.

But, isn’t your favorite thing like the lightsaber in Star Wars?”

"'Star Wars' is just a movie, but the steel armor is real. I love Tony Sterk's armor that can shoot energy cannons so much!"

Jerry was speechless when he heard this.

I never expected that my father, Haas, is still a fan of Iron Man.

Someone once said that being "a middle child" can be hereditary, but Jerry still didn't believe it. It wasn't until he met Haas and Aisha that he realized that "a child with a middle school degree" could really be hereditary.

It's just that Elsa likes all kinds of magic, while Haas likes all kinds of mechas and lightsabers.

"Dad, if you like it, I'll give it to you!"

Jerry actually wasn't very interested in this kind of armor-type mechanical thing. He asked Iron Man for a model at that time, just to flesh out his character and make Iron Man not doubt him.

Besides, the model Iron Man gave him was definitely just a model, and there was no way it could really be used as a weapon.

"Jerry, Dad loves you!"

When Haas heard Jerry's words, he almost jumped up with joy and leaned over to give Jerry a deep "fatherly kiss".

"Dad, it's eight forty now. You still have twenty minutes to get to the police station, otherwise you will be late!"

Jerry reached out and stopped Haas's "fatherly kiss" accurately.

"God, time flies so fast. Jerry, help me place this armor model. Don't let Elsa break it for me!"

Haas looked at the time, quickly handed the steel armor model to Jerry, and rushed out in a hurry.

"Sure enough, a man will remain a boy until he dies!"

Jerry couldn't help but shook his head.

For a thirty-six-year-old, shrewd and capable police sergeant to actually like this kind of thing, it's really nothing.

After all, if someone gave him a nunchuck that Bruce Lee used now, he would never be as calm as he is now.
