Chapter 20: Zen Machine

In fact, Xiaoyu was not seriously injured. If this injury was placed on Ma Liu, he would probably still be able to hang out in bed in the middle of the night. Xiaoyu himself said it was okay, but Ma Liu ordered her not to go to work. Moreover, except for work, he spent the rest of his time taking care of Xiaoyu. His life was dull, but Xiaoyu felt extremely satisfied.

But after three days, most of his hands were relieved. Xiaoyu suddenly had to go to a temple on a nearby mountain to fulfill his wish. Ma Liu asked Xiaoyu what wish he had made, but Xiaoyu just laughed secretly, but he didn't say it.

If it is normal, Ma Liuzhen would probably not accompany her to burn incense and wish, because she was deceived by the old charlatan in her family since she was a child. Ma Liu believed in fate, but she also rejected the theory of fate. By the way, she had no good feelings for the temple. But now she was different. She was served by Xiaoyu for more than two years, and Xiaoyu never complained at all. She had just served Xiaoyu for three days, and put her heart in the Buddha's heart. Ma Liu naturally felt embarrassed not to say that she would not go. Besides, Ma Liu had never really let go of the matter Huang Meng had made in the billiard room last time. Of course, she would not let Xiaoyu go up the mountain alone, so she had to sacrifice her life to accompany the gentleman.

Most ordinary temples are built at the foot of the mountain, but this temple is built on the top of the mountain, and the mountain roads are rugged, unlike people who often walk by it.

Ma Liu liked to take Xiaohu to fight with the crowd since he was a child. Although there were many classic examples of winning with less, most of them would run away if they beat the opponent a few people, so they also developed a good set of foot strength. Climbing the mountain was naturally no problem, but Xiaoyu struggled. He took a break for no less than five times before finally climbing to the entrance of the temple.

The temple is not big, with two side rooms and one main hall. The incense is not very prosperous, and the temple is also simple, but it will never decline. Instead, it is managed in an orderly manner.

"Wu Ming Temple?" Ma Liu held the panting little fish, stared at the three big words flying and phoenixes on the mountain gate, and nodded frequently: "The name of this temple is wonderful, and this word is even more beautiful. Haha, Wu Ming, it is indeed Wu Ming. I don't understand, Xiao Yu, how did you find this place?"

Xiaoyu gasped for a few breaths before laughing: "I have been a Buddhist since I was a child, so I like to visit temples the most. I heard from my classmates and came to find them myself. However, unlike ordinary temples, there is only an old monk here, and he does not do rituals. He usually treats the nearby villagers or something, and does not charge any money. He is considered a Taoist monk."

"A master of enlightenment?" Ma Liu laughed silently. There are still monks these days? Then, with the proficiency of the lame man and the old charlatan, wouldn't he also become a master of enlightenment?

However, after looking at the few vegetable fields next to the temple, although Ma Liu had not entered the temple, he had a little affection for the old monk. Nowadays, few monks can make a living by growing vegetables, and most of them make money under the guise of a monk.

When he entered the mountain gate, he saw the master Xiaoyu mentioned earlier, an old monk who was at least eighty years old but still energetic. He was sitting at the door of the Main Hall, holding an ancient book in his hand. It was probably a Buddhist classic. He was enjoying it and seemed to have no idea that a guest had arrived at all.

Xiaoyu walked to the old monk and called out to the master. The old monk raised his head, nodded with a smile and said, "The donor hasn't been here for almost three years. Are you here to fulfill your wish today?"

"Master still remembers me? And the master is really a clever plan. I am here to fulfill my wish!" Xiaoyu smiled, his face a little surprised and a little solemn.

He nodded and pointed to the hall. The old monk did not get up to entertain him, but was still staring at the "Avatamsaka Sutra" in his hand. He seemed to have not seen Ma Liu on the side.

Maybe because he was afraid that Ma Liu would know his secret, Xiaoyu walked into the Main Hall alone. The temple was offering the Tathagata Buddha. Two incense oil lamps were lit in front of the incense table, and a bouquet of high incense was inserted into the incense burner, surrounded by green smoke.

First, he took out his wallet from his pocket and threw all ten hundred-dollar bills into the merit box. Then Xiaoyu brought a bunch of incense on the incense table next to him, lit it on the incense oil lamp, kneeled down on the cushion with a pious expression, muttering to himself with a closed eyes and murmured.

"There is a cause, the cause has a result, the result has a cause, and the seeds have a result. The heart is the Buddha, and the Buddha is the mind, and the mind is the Buddha. If you want to seek the Buddha, you first seek the mind."

Ma Liu hugged his arms with his hands, stared at the couplet outside the hall and read it, shaking his head. Compared with Xiaoyu's solemn expression before, he could be called a smirk.

The old monk with white hair and hair still didn't say anything, and didn't even raise his head.

Ma Liu didn't look at the old monk, but he was muttering and finally shook his head and said, "Boom, it's really blah!"

The old monk raised his eyebrows and refused to raise his head.

"There is only smooth in this world, but no perfect in this world." Ma Liu suddenly said.

Although the old monk was reading a book, he still heard Ma Liu's words. He was stunned. Finally, he looked up at Ma Liu, but his eyes tightened, as if he had seen something strange, and his eyes were hard to turn away.

When Ma Liu noticed that the old monk was finally moved, he laughed strangely. He heard from the old lame man, and he felt that something was reasonable, so he kept it in his heart. This time he blurted out, but he didn't expect that the old monk would really notice him.

"Monk, can I have flowers on my face?" Ma Liu leaned over and laughed.

The old monk came to his senses and nodded: "The donor is a person who is destined to be with me. He has a strange face. He is really the only one who has seen him in his life. He looked at him a few more for some reason."

Ma Liu sneered in his heart, and his impression of the old monk was suddenly much worse. This sentence was very similar to a scene in the movie. Should he say that he had a clear bones and was really a peerless genius in martial arts practice, and then sell a few martial arts secrets. He remembered that the old charlatan at home had said this before, but he never took it seriously. He just thought it was an old charlatan who was used to fooling people and said it casually.

"Old monk, this is boring. Let me ask you, you Buddhists are so concerned about cause and effect, but do you know if you will be a human or a beast in your next life?" Ma Liu said sarcastically.

The old monk was stunned, but was not angry, and smiled and said, "The donor's question is really unreasonable. If you haven't finished your life, how can you know what will happen in the next life? However, what is the difference between being a cow and being a horse and being a human being?"

"Of course there is a difference." Ma Liu smiled and said, "I don't want to be a beast. Although it's a little harder to be a human being, it's always better to be a human being."

"The fruits of the next life are planted by the causes of this life, so there is a cycle of cause and effect. However, there is a saying in my scripture that if you want to become a Buddha, dragon and elephant, you must first be a cow and horse of sentient beings. If you want to become a Buddha, you can only achieve it if you want to become a Buddha in ten lifetimes!" The old monk explained to Ma Liu patiently.

Ma Liu smiled and said, "Then I will ask you again, since practicing Buddhism is cultivating the mind, do you don't need to shave your head and become a monk? That means you can become a Buddha without chanting scriptures in the temple?"

"This - the donor's words naturally have a reason, but the Buddha only saves people who are destined to be. If they do not have the fate, even if they recite sutras for a lifetime in the temple, they are destined to have no fate with the Buddha, and naturally they will not be able to achieve the right result." The old monk hesitated for a moment before answering.

"It's a mess." Ma Liu murmured in a low voice, and saw Xiaoyu coming out of the hall, he no longer had a tit-for-tat confrontation with the old monk.

However, the old monk had a good hearing. He seemed to hear Ma Liu's words and suddenly said to Ma Liu seriously: "Donor, since we are destined to be, I might as well advise the donor. The donor's seal hall is dark. It is estimated that a disaster has occurred recently, so you must be careful."

Ma Liu felt a little moved, but he smiled and said, "What happened to me? Don't exaggerate this."

The old monk shook his head, ignored Ma Liu, and read the book on his own.

Ma Liu said to Xiaoyu on the side: "Okay, can we leave?"

"You can wait for me outside the mountain gate first. I want to talk to the master again." Xiaoyu said with a smile.

"Okay, then I'll go out and wait for you." Ma Liu didn't want to talk to the old monk, so he ran to the mountain gate to the wall to smoke.

Seeing that Ma Liu was far away, Xiaoyu's face suddenly became worried. He respectfully gave a Buddhist tribute to the old monk, and then asked: "Master, my boyfriend is so disrespectful to you. I'll compensate him here, but the master said before that he had a disaster recently. Can you please tell me a way to resolve it?"

The old monk nodded and sighed, "Although the donor just said rudely, he was not indifferent. I didn't take it seriously. I just asked me to give me some advice, but I was powerless. Although I have studied numerology and Feng Shui all my life, I have always been difficult to enter the house. I am ashamed, ashamed!"

"The master is too modest. Although I am a little confused and knowledgeable, I can see that there are few masters like the master. Could it be that the secrets of heaven cannot be revealed?" Xiaoyu pursed his lips and said.

The old monk smiled bitterly: "Master? Haha, the donor attaches great importance to Lao Na. There are masters in this world, but a few people can really recognize it. Lao Na has lived for almost eighty years, and he has only seen one master more than ten years ago. Speaking of Tianji, that master has leaked too much and suffered from the heavenly mortals. Even if I am willing to go to hell, I really can't see the secrets of heaven!"

Xiaoyu said depressedly: "Does that master know where that master is?"

"I don't know, when I met one time, Lao Na talked with him for three days, and then he hurriedly left, saying that he had found a destined person. Unfortunately, I am blessed and have no fate with him. I have not seen him again yet. However, he was not flexible on the same day, and he was also suffering from bad diseases. Perhaps he was no longer in the world." The old monk said slowly.

Xiaoyu looked worried, and the old monk said again: "But donor doesn't have to worry too much. Although I can't see the secrets of heaven, I still have some experience in the face of my face. I have seen your friend's face before. Although it is full of suffering, it is a long life. It should be a surprise. Buddhism has a saying of Nirvana, and perhaps this is also his turnaround.

"Really?" Xiaoyu said in surprise.

The old monk nodded and smiled and said, "I am seventy-sixth of confidence."

Xiaoyu nodded, said goodbye to the old monk, took a few steps, and turned back and said, "Master, I have something else to do, I want to ask you to help me."

"Please speak by donor." The old monk said with a smile.

"I want the master to help me figure out the fortunes!" Xiaoyu said with a slightly red face.

The old monk looked at Xiaoyu and said, "What do you think of the donor?"

"To be honest, the master said that although my boyfriend and I love each other, my parents strongly opposed it. Many times, I often worry because I always feel that he will make a name for himself in the future and have some uncertainty about our future. I wonder if the master can help me test a divination?" Xiaoyu did not hide anything in front of the old monk.

The old monk laughed and said, "No need to test it."

"Why?" Xiaoyu was stunned.

The old monk stood up and walked back to the hall, saying, "I have tested it for you. As the saying goes, flowers are Zen, birds are Zen, mountains are clouds are Zen, men can become Buddhas, women can become Buddhas, and old and young can become Buddhas. Although Buddhism emphasizes following the circumstances, following the circumstances does not mean to be bypassed by others, but to do their best to follow the circumstances, but to be obedient to the destiny of heaven. The attachment to love is the root of distress. Only by letting go of attachment to love can you get what you have. I gave my boyfriend a word before, and now I will give it to you. If you want to become the dragon and elephant of Buddhas, you will be the cow and horse of sentient beings first."

Xiaoyu frowned and thought for a while. Finally, he suddenly realized, and a smile gradually appeared on the corner of his mouth.
