Chapter 013 Spiritual Roots and Wisdom Roots, the Difference Between Immortals and Buddhas

A fake boatman is strong and has a profound knowledge of his own, kind-hearted and generous, and can cross the river with just a few taels of silver.

The real boatman has a scathing eyebrow, a vulgar speech, a bad temper, and a fierce face. The price is on the ground, and each person is one thousand, and he can't love it.

Although it was said that it was one thousand per person, it was Fahai and the abbot’s turn, and the boatman said that you two had to pay three thousand taels of silver!

Fahai said why, the boatman said one, two, three, and nothing wrong! One person has no problem, but two people have no problem, and then three, and proudly said that this is the accounting-keeping skills taught by a storyteller in his family, and there will never be any mistakes.

Fahai wanted to give him a mercy to him about this act of raising prices on the ground, so that he could know that my Buddha was compassionate.

But Fahai quickly considered that he had to row a boat after he was saved, so Fahai gave up this idea.

Sitting on the boat, I suddenly missed the evil dragon boatman on the Jinlong River. If the master had not saved the evil dragon at that time, he might be able to balance the market phenomenon of the boatman business with a price-raising price and a bad competition.

The night is getting deeper, and the boat goes down the river. In the words of the boatman, if nothing unexpected happens, one or two nights is enough.

Although the boatman was so unscrupulous, his boat was very big, with two floors and five feet long. There were seven or eight cabin-style wings on the boat. There were not many people boarding the boat this time, and almost everyone was divided into a cabin.

In a small wing room that is only five feet high and six feet long and wide, Fahai sat on the futon, looking at the black river surface, the water flowed rapidly, and the moonlight reflected a faint image on the river surface, which made Fahai think of a poem.

The bright moonlight in front of the boat, suspected to be frost on the ground, so I looked up at the bright moon - Alas!

Wait!

Fahai looked up and saw a real "bright moon", a banging forehead, abbot!

Fahai hurriedly said, "Abbot, aren't you going to sleep?"

The abbot sat opposite Fahai, looked at the water from the boat, "Did you miss home?"

Fahai shrugged, "What do you think of! I am just an alternative person at home. My father doesn't love you and my mother doesn't love you. There is nothing to think about."

The abbot said, "Amitabha, the higher the wisdom, the deeper the obsession, the more difficult it is to understand the word "let go". But then again, if the obsession is not deep, how can a person's wisdom be higher? The Buddha gave you the fastest speed of practice, and also gave you the deepest obsession of the inner demon, the sea of Dharma, you have to face obsession in order to let go."

Fahai clasped his hands together, "Fahai has received teachings."

The abbot raised his hand, put the four treasures of the study in front of Fahai, and then said, "I will read a few words, you can write them."

Fahai picked up the brush and placed the rice paper flat. The moonlight shone into the wing room and shone on the abbot's cheek.

The abbot said, "Walker."

Fahai wrote two regular script characters casually on rice paper - the Walker.

The abbot recited, "Fahai, what is a practitioner?"

Fahai looked at the walker, "Walking person?"

The abbot shook his head, "No."

Fahai thought for a while and said, "People who practice!"

"Smart!" the abbot smiled and said, "As the name suggests, practitioners of the Kong Sect, although the states of my Buddhist practice and the Xuan Sect practice are similar, the root of it is different from heaven and earth."

When Fahai heard the abbot's words about cultivation, he suddenly felt the spirit. Fahai had little knowledge of the cultivation of immortals in the Xuanmen. After all, he had seen so many golden elixirs and Nascent Souls in his previous life, and he knew that there were only nine great realms of cultivation of immortals. However, this is the first time that the big girl was sitting in a sedan chair in Buddhism.

The abbot stroked his white beard and was leisurely and moderate, "First talk about the principles of the practice of Xuanmen and Buddhism! Xuanmen practice is about being a pampered person, nourishing the spiritual roots. The spiritual root is the most important foundation of Xuanmen, and after all, it is actually just a synonym for the soul. The advantages and disadvantages of the spiritual roots are just a representation of the strength of the soul. For example, the immortal seedlings of the heavenly spirit roots can be remembered when they are born. At the high intensity of the soul, he can see a hair ten miles away!"

Fahai was stunned, "Is it so exaggerated? He could see a hair ten miles away when he was born?"

The abbot and Xu said, "Do you think the Tianling root is a big cabbage on the street? The soul insight and perception ability of the Tianling root far exceeds the imagination of mortals. The Xuanmen is to bring out the strengths of this spiritual root. They use the spiritual root, that is, the soul as the main body, and the body is the servant, so as to use the soul to lead the body to the immortals and achieve the immortal path. The real threshold of the Immortal Sect is at the Nascent Soul level. Only when the Nascent Soul level can the Yang soul leave the body and the soul out of the body. At this time, the Xuanmen can be called cultivating immortals. And those immortal cultivators under the Nascent Soul are mortals, harshly speaking, they are all mortals."

When Fahai heard this, he nodded and said, "What about our Buddhist school?"

The abbot smiled and said, "Buddhist is exactly the opposite of Xuanmen. Xuanmen emphasizes cultivating spiritual roots, abandoning the physical body, and finally being free from heaven and earth, immortal and immortal. However, Buddhism focuses on the body, uses the soul as its servant, replenishes the body with its soul, and creates boundless Buddhist teachings. After three, it can achieve the four fruits, obtain the position of karma, and save all sentient beings."

"What Buddhism doesn't care about the most is the strength of the soul, which is the spiritual roots you talk about! People with strong spiritual roots are generally the sons of geniuses. They are blessed by luck and are noble sons of heaven and earth. They will not suffer hardships, and there will be too many disasters. A smooth journey will make them very low in wisdom. If they understand the Buddhist principles with low wisdom, they will make progress very slowly."

"And those with weaker wisdom have become stupid by nature before many disasters. They either have strong perseverance or high wisdom. They rely on the body of mortals to survive. Such people are quick to understand the ultimate principles of Buddhism and practice very quickly!"

"So, many times, even if a person with a high spiritual root and a person with a low spiritual root come to become a disciple, Buddhism prefers a person with a low spiritual root. They understand Buddhism faster and practice more stably."

Fahai heard this and understood a little. "The abbot means that Xuanmen emphasizes the use of qi to achieve the Tao, and it is the art of nourishing qi, while Buddhism emphasizes the use of force to achieve the Tao, and it is the ability to destroy the people with one force?"

The abbot said, "You have such an understanding, for you, it is correct, but for me, it is wrong. The perception of Buddhism and Taoism gradually changes with practice. The perception of Buddhism and Taoism is different at each stage. You don't have to worry about which is more authentic. What you need to know now is that the practitioner is the first stage of my Buddhist practice, which is equivalent to the Qi training realm of Xuanmen."

Fahaidao, "Master, I have fought with the Lingmeng Fairy in the Beikun Sect. I feel that the physical realm of Buddhism is much more powerful than the Qi training realm of the Immortal Sect. Is this my illusion?"

The abbot smiled and said, "No, I have told you that the real entry threshold for Xuanmen is the Nascent Soul Realm. Under the Nascent Soul, all ordinary cultivators can be used! Only when you reach the Nascent Soul Realm can you use many immortal techniques in Xuanmen. At that time, Xuanmen is the real immortal cultivator, and they can surpass Buddhism. Before the Nascent Soul, my Buddhist master's soul is not strong, and it is strange that I can't use Xuanmen's immortal techniques. It would be strange that I could beat the Buddhist!"

Fahai understood that emotionally, Xuanmen is strong in the late stage, and Buddhism is humble in the early stage. From this point of view, Ling Meng is not unfair to defeat him!
