Chapter 13 Collusion

Song Xian looked at Cheng Yanzhao who was eating noodles.

The Song family and the Cheng family are family friends. He met Cheng San when he was three years old. After that, they went to the military camp together. Cheng San followed him to fight and helped him mobilize food and grass.

When he raised his army, Cheng San also went south with him.

Now that he saw Cheng San again, Song Xian couldn't help but feel dazed for a moment. He almost forgot that Cheng San was like this before. He talked a lot in front of him, and even if he had eaten, he couldn't stop talking. It was almost unbearable.

Except for leading troops to fight, Cheng Yanzhao was like a playboy, and he was often seen in fireworks and alleys, restaurants and gambling. Until Cheng San fell in love with Miss Meng, Miss Meng died in the war when she married, Cheng San never laughed again.

When he found Song Xian looking at him, Cheng Yanzhao raised his head: "What's wrong? What's wrong with me?"

Song Xian moved his gaze away.

Cheng Yanzhao swallowed the face in his mouth, couldn't wait to drink two sips of the soup, and then continued: "To be honest, who was the one who just left?"

Song Xian did not answer and turned his eyes back to the official document. Three or two faces were seen again. He still couldn't understand that Cheng San would change so much for Miss Meng. Miss Meng surpassed her family, friends and even colleagues in Cheng San's heart.

Cheng Yanzhao didn't know that Song Xian in front of him was different. He was very curious about the identity of the female relative. Song Xian had never seen any other woman here except the mother who came to serve.

So when he met the woman on the road just now, Cheng Yanzhao couldn't help but be stunned, and was very surprised that Chang Yue would escort a woman away.

When Cheng San came back to his senses and wanted to take a closer look, he missed the best opportunity. The woman lowered her head keenly and avoided his sight.

Cheng San wanted to strike forward, but Chang Yue blocked the woman and told him: "It was the one who was called by the uncle."

Cheng Yanzhao keenly realized that this matter was not simple, so he came to ask Song Xian in a hurry.

"When did you meet me?" Cheng Yanzhao continued, "Why are you still bringing me here? Isn't her family worried about coming out to see you alone so late?"

Song Xian still didn't say anything.

Cheng Yanzhao felt that Song Xian was particularly tolerant of him today. Could it be that the girl at night was in a good mood?

"Don't keep everything in your heart, just say it out loud." Cheng Yanzhao persuaded, ate all the food in front of him, and then picked up the empty bowl, with an expression of unfulfilled expression.

"Is there any?" Cheng Yanzhao opened the door and asked Chang An outside.

"It's gone," replied the cook, "Master Cheng San wants to eat it. Can I make another bowl? But it may taste different."

Sure enough, these were done by others, and the man was probably no longer in the yard.

Cheng Yanzhao thoughts flashed, and he closed the door and returned to the house again, and then asked Song Xian: "You don't want to tell me the identity of that young lady. Where did this cook ask me, can you tell me?"

Song Xian didn't even move his eyebrows.

Cheng Yanzhao said: "I will exchange it for ten war horses and let her go to my place to cook for a while? Anyway, you don't care, and you won't eat the food made by the cook."

Song Xian was not moved.

Cheng Yanzhao said: "Those twenty horses? Thirty...thirty is OK, right? I can't get more."

Seeing that Song Xian's expression was still cold, Cheng Yanzhao felt that it was becoming more and more unusual. Will a person who loves war horses as much as his life withstand such temptation?

Hearing this, Song Xian finally lifted his eyelids: "What do you want to say?"

Cheng Yanzhao said: "Tell me what happened to that female family member, or lend me a cook for a few days, and I will exchange it for war horses. Is it feasible?"

Song Xian's joy when he saw Cheng Yanzhao again was worn clean at this time and said lightly: "No."

Cheng Yanzhao's expression froze completely. He seemed to have figured out something: "The new chef and that young lady... could they be the same person, right?"

Song Xian's expression was still calm, but Cheng Yanzhao got the answer. He stared at Song Xian in disbelief.

Song Xian raised his head again in that gaze, and asked inquiring.

Cheng Yanzhao took a sip of tea and suppressed his shock: "Axian, are you happy?" After so many years, there was no movement around Song Xian, and he thought that Song Xian had hidden illness.

Song Xian frowned and looked bad. He didn't say that it was because of rebirth, and Cheng Yanzhao obviously had a wrong idea.

Song Xian said lightly: "If you put your spirit on government affairs, you won't let Song Er make trouble in the city."

When asked about this point, Song Xian didn't explain it. Cheng Yanzhao was even more curious. Anyway, he couldn't escape, so he would definitely see the young lady with his own eyes next time he had the chance.

Cheng Yanzhao retracted his thoughts, and Mr. Song asked someone to win over officials and merchants everywhere, with obvious intentions. The north was just a matter of great success, and who could govern the north well was a great achievement in the court.

Is Song Er trying to win the merits, or is Song Qizheng partial to supporting his two sons to the throne? Or is it both?

When Cheng Yanzhao thought of this, he felt a little angry in his eyebrows: "When fighting with the Liao army, how can we not let Song Er be the vanguard? You are the eldest son, and no matter how favored Gao is, he will be the second wife. We can not fight for the military governor for now. If your father wants to hand over the power of the garrison in several towns to Song Er, don't blame us for being polite."

Song Xian had no tolerance in his previous life, so naturally he would not have any hesitation in this life.

The two of them were saying this, when Chang An came in and reported: "Manager Xu admitted it, saying that he had privately interacted with the bandits because he listened to the Second Master's intention and wanted to win over those people to do things for the Second Master."

Song Xian looked up at the sky, and when it was dawn, he would take people back to the Song family so as not to disturb his grandmother's good dream.

...

Xie Liangchen lay on the bed again. Although she was also worried tonight, she was able to fall asleep peacefully after solving the problem.

Chang Yue outside heard the sound of symmetrical breathing in the room and was a little surprised. He came out of the old man's house and could fall asleep so quickly. He was also a powerful person.

Chang Yue hid in the darkness and continued to guard the Xie family.

As soon as dawn, Xie Liangchen heard the old lady Chen’s voice: “Get some corn porridge, no wonder my granddaughter’s injury is not healing now. How can you nourish your body by eating this little thing?"

The manager of the Xie family looked a little ugly when he saw the table full of food. These were enough for four or five people to eat. Old Mrs. Chen was clearly asking for trouble for them.

Fortunately, this is the last meal.

Xie Liangchen got out of bed and found that someone had already made water, so he washed and walked out of the inner room.

Chen Zigeng was peeling the eggs, and three white eggs were placed in a porcelain bowl.

Seeing Xie Liangchen, Chen Zigeng stood up and said, "Sister, it's time to eat."

Xie Liangchen sat down and three eggs were pushed in front of her.

Chen Zigeng said: "Sister, eat more so that your health can get better."

These meals on the table are excellent for Mrs. Chen and Chen Zigeng. The grandparents and grandchildren saved some eggs and the duck eggs were sold to the market. Chen Zigeng almost forgot what the eggs tasted.

Although Chen Zigeng was also greedy for those eggs, he wanted to leave them to his sister and grandmother. He would eat three, and his grandmother would eat one, and there were six left, enough for two more days.

Chen Zigeng drove the white-selled egg away from his mind. He was about to bite the pancake when his eyes blurred and there was an egg in his bowl.

Chen Zigeng raised his head and met Xie Liangchen's gaze.

Xie Liangchen said, "I won't eat it, I won't eat it either."

Chen Zigeng looked at his sister and his nose felt sore.

"Okay, okay," said Old Mrs. Chen, "Eat quickly. If we have fields in the future, are we afraid of not having eggs?"

Xie Liangchen nodded: "What my grandmother said is that not only can you eat eggs, but we will buy a larger house in Zhenzhou in the future than here."

Old Mrs. Chen's face turned red for her granddaughter, and the sky was blue and the sun was white, and her granddaughter dreamed again.

After dinner, the Xie family manager came and said, "The things have been brought into the car."

This is urging them to leave.

Xie Liangchen stood up and said, "Mrs. Su is here? I will leave after saying something to Mrs. Su." The things were all in my hands, and it was time to turn against each other.

In the garden.

Mrs. Su was talking to Qiao.

The manager came forward to report: "Old Mrs. Chen, Mr. Chen and the eldest lady came here, saying that he wanted to say something to Mrs. Su."

Qiao looked at Mrs. Su. They all knew that Mrs. Su came to the door early in the morning for the marriage between Mr. Su and Ru Lan. Could it be that Xie Liangchen felt that the Su family was reluctant to leave her?

"It's good to meet," said Mrs. Su, "to make it clear so that there will be no more involvement."

Qiao was delighted when she heard this, Xie Rulan's chest was pounding. Mrs. Su was really a decisive person. It would be her blessing to have such a mother-in-law in the future.

When Xie Rulan was in a state of excitement, she saw Xie Liangchen walking all the way to the stone table and sitting next to Mrs. Su.

Mrs. Su had a smile as always on her face, Xie Liangchen's eyebrows were stretched, the corners of her mouth were slightly raised, and the breeze blew across her hair, which was indescribably pleasing to the eye.

Mrs. Su secretly praised herself that if she is a concubine, she will definitely be favored. If she can be content with her own self-righteousness, she can be rich and prosperous for the rest of her life.

But it is not suitable for their Su family.

Xie Liangchen handed over the letter of divorce: "Mrs. Su helped me get my father's mountain back. I will give you the letter of divorce. Let us both have the kindness of our families and we will not owe you in the future."

Mrs. Su's hand trembled. Unexpectedly, Xie Liangchen would speak out in front of the Xie family, but then she calmed down and held what she wanted in her hands, and she didn't care about the rest.

Qiao's smile froze. Wait, what did Xie Liangchen say? Mrs. Su helped her get the mountain back? What does this mean?

Xie Liangchen knew what Qiao was thinking, so she turned her head to look at Qiao: "Mrs. Su helped me get the documents on the mountain in the yamen office. I promised that as long as the Su family took back their mother's dowry and father's property and left the Xie family smoothly, they would break the engagement from the Su family and never get involved again."
