This book took a total of sixteen months to write from the first chapter to the completion. It is the longest book among all my books, and of course the one with the most words. It can basically be regarded as lighting up a small community. No small achievement.

In fact, I originally wanted to write this book to 10 million words...

Well, after thinking about it, I forgot about it. There is no point in just trying to reach a standard word count, and to be honest, the plots of the last two volumes are really dry and not rounded at all. On the one hand, it is self-limited that War of the Ancients cannot be changed significantly. The plot has put itself into a trap. On the other hand, the story structure of the 9.0 version is indeed a bit stretched and unexpected.

Of course, there are also reasons for this due to my personal health as a writer.

By the way, this year has been really difficult for me personally. The cruel reality forced me, a fat otaku who has not exercised in a real sense for more than 30 years, to take the initiative to start a fitness plan. This shows how bad the situation is.

The lack of smoothness in previous years really affected my writing status in the last period of time. Fortunately, I finally finished the book smoothly. I want to give a thumbs up to myself, as well as to my old brothers and new friends who have accompanied me all the way to this point. Brothers, give it a thumbs up.

For a work, the performance and level of the writer determine the lower limit, but the support and love of the brothers determine the upper limit. In essence, it is also an entertainment industry, and serving users is the most basic criterion.

Now thinking about the state when I started writing this book, I really wanted to get rid of the shadow of failure, so I pushed myself hard. The double-editing period at the beginning made me miserable, but fortunately I survived. And in terms of results, I have indeed achieved a wave of breakthroughs and leaps. In more metaphysical terms, I have broken a bottleneck. But how far I can go depends on how much I have learned from writing this book and whether I can put it into practice. They will be integrated into my subsequent writing career.

But no matter what happens in the future, no matter what, I believe that the experience of writing this book will definitely become a memorable sixteen months in my life.

Not only has my creative career improved, but the old man's life has also entered a new stage. The birth of my son has also brought about earth-shaking changes in my life. Now that I have finished the book, I am not even one year old from my child. It has been a few days, and I have been busy with this matter for a long time. After taking a good rest, the release of the new book will probably take longer than before.

Let’s talk about future writing plans.

First of all, the theme of Warcraft will definitely not be given up. There are three routes that can be tried in the current concept. If you include the Holy Light route that I plan to write again, there are four.

If all goes well, I can write four more books on this subject. At the rate of one book per year, I will have an outline to support my writing career for the next four years.

Other themes will also be tried.

On the one hand, you need to change your mind after writing a book. Otherwise, starting the next book will definitely bring many traces of this book. Similar works basically consume the patience of both the writer and the reader. This kind of stupidity Nothing can be done.

On the other hand, my interest in other fields also makes me want to write about some subjects other than World of Warcraft. Of course, all the old brothers know that I am seriously lacking in creativity, and I will not easily try things that I do not fully understand, so At present, this "other field" is still a story from American comics.

That is the plan for the next book.

There are also many brothers who have been encouraging me to try to learn more new things and extend my interests to a wider range. I have also tried, but unfortunately a person's experience is indeed limited, and the thing about eye contact is really limited.

It's very strange. I also let myself watch works such as Naruto One Piece, but I really couldn't watch it.

The only god of death I like is...how should I put it, its golden age ended too early, and I probably don't have the space to write about it now.

As for Warhammer, whether it’s 40K or Medieval, I’m actually very interested in both and have learned some about it. However, the other parent company’s style of sending legal letters directly to the author, and Warhammer’s attempt to monopolize the interpretation rights of the original work.

This behavior determines that for a long time to come, creation in this field will have extremely high barriers to entry and be an extremely small-circle affair.

As an old man who already has children, it really takes a lot of courage to make such a bold attempt.

However, the above also mentioned my writing plan for the next few years. If everything goes according to plan, I will be almost forty when I finish the last Warcraft. For the writer's profession, it will be the sunset stage.

Who knows the preferences and tastes of readers at that time?

It is a natural law for old guys to be eliminated. What we can do is not to fight against it, but to serve as many readers as possible in the limited time and create more happiness and relaxing leisure enjoyment.

This may be my writing philosophy, if it can be called a philosophy (laughs).
