8. Tide spell, worth having(1/2)

The northern border of the Eastern Continent is a human kingdom and the birthplace of human civilization.

Northern Xinjiang is home to six of the seven human kingdoms. Except for the Kingdom of Storm, which was established by settlers in the southern Xinjiang of the mainland, most humans live on the land of Northern Xinjiang.

However, the northern Xinjiang and the central part of the continent, Khaz Modan controlled by the dwarves, and the wetland area are not actually connected.

Between the two, there is a large strait several kilometers wide, which separates Northern Xinjiang from the main body of the mainland. Hundreds of years ago, this area was impassable, and communication could only rely on ships.

However, before the War of the Three Hammers, when the powerful dwarf kingdom and the human kingdom were on good terms, a bridge was built between the northern border and the wetland to make it easier for them to travel together.

This is the Sardo Bridge, a civil engineering miracle in Azeroth.

Its construction process is very fantastic. In addition to relying on the natural stone carving skills of the dwarves, there is also the help of human mages and Wildhammer dwarf shamans.

Therefore, to be precise, this bridge, which is several kilometers long and can accommodate a hundred people passing through at the same time, is actually a miracle of magical power.

It makes the sky clear.

This allows humans and dwarves to travel back and forth without having to be harassed by waves and the thorny naga under the sea.

This strait is also called the Reef Sea, and there is a Naga clan living in it. They have existed here longer than the civilization of humans or dwarves.

But no one cares about these savage soft-skinned snakes, and no one regards them as the masters of this strait. After the construction of the Saldo Bridge, these Nagas were completely excluded from the civilized world.

They became one of the wild legends of the wetlands.

"But the empire of the Deep Sea Nagas can bring humans and orcs together and defeat them easily. Nagas, who are considered barbarians, were the most civilized race in the world thousands of years ago.

Compared with their history, the issues between humans and orcs are really not something that can be discussed on the table."

Blake was walking on the bottom of the reef sea while patrolling vigilantly. He was still thinking about the story about Naga. He was doing three things at once.

Relying on the body of the undead, he moved quickly through the seabed.

He even put a lot of unpleasant-smelling seaweed on his body to disguise himself.

Once a naga approaches, he will immediately enter stealth to avoid it.

However, the human race's perception in the deep sea is really incomparable with that of amphibians like Naga. Therefore, in front of Blake, there is a "little sharp soldier" guiding the way.

The little fishman Benbolba with blue stripes on his body, just like a real fish, swings his limbs and swims freely in the deep sea.

Probably because it was fed well by Blake during this period, its size is slightly larger than that of a normal cub, and the fins on its back have also grown out.

It's orange and pretty.

However, the fishman's fins are not quite the same as those of real fish.

There are three or four protrusions on their backs, which look like they are carrying battle flags.

The fish-men's perception in the water is very keen. Once Benbolba finds traces of Naga, he will immediately wave his claws to warn, and then Blake will sneak with him.

In this way, the two guys have avoided Naga inspections four times.

"This place is still a bit far away from the elven ruins guarded by the Thornspine Nagas in the depths of the reef sea. The people wandering around the periphery are the Naga recruits. As long as I don't disturb them, I can pass safely."

Blake estimated his speed and the width of the strait in his mind. After a few minutes of mental calculation, he came to a conclusion:

"I have already walked for an hour. If I walk for another hour, I can almost pass through the area controlled by the Nagas and reach the shallow sea under the highlands of Stromgarde.

Then from there, head east along the coastline, pass through the dwarf-controlled Dangarok Castle, and then enter the Hillsbrad Hills. After three days of walking, you can almost reach Nanhai Town.

The orcs just crossed the Khaz Modan Sea five days ago, and they should be besieging Tarren Mill City now. Southsea Town should have been occupied by the orcs. I should stay with the dwarves for a few days to wait and see the situation."

Blake frowned under the water and said in his heart:

"It's all my fault for that nosy bronze dragon. If it hadn't suddenly appeared, I would have reached the Arathi Highlands by now, which is a secondary battlefield.

The highland knights of the Kingdom of Stromgard have the initiative and terrain advantage, King Thoras Trollbane is a staunch warrior, and there are talented commanders like Danaus Trollbane sitting in charge.

The battle situation there is definitely not as critical as in Hillsbrad Hills."

"Quack quack quack!"

Benbolba in front suddenly shouted and waved his claws, interrupting Blake's thinking. The man with ribs took a step forward, held the little fish man in his arms, and jumped into the shadows.

But when he raised his head, he discovered that it was not just Naga who was being warned by the little fish man!

On the sea in the distance, there were several dark shabby boats, being besieged by a large group of Thornspine Nagas.

Those soft-skinned snakes swung their bright snake tails from the deep sea, carrying halberds, tridents and other heavy weapons, and rushed towards the sea crazily.

These charging characters are all male Nagas.

Their lower bodies are real snake tails, but their upper bodies still maintain humanoid shapes. Their bodies are covered with bright scales, and their faces look quite close to beasts.

In fact, the male Naga's face is more like a dragon, and there are tentacles on both sides of the cheeks.

They have fins on their backs that are very similar to fish-men, and the muscles of their upper body covered by scales are bulging. They are all tall, nearly two meters long when they use their snake tails to support their bodies.

Completely straightened, it is estimated to be two to five meters or even three meters.

But these males are out-and-out cannon fodder in Naga society, because Naga is a matriarchal society. Just like now, it is a group of female Nagas who are commanding this raid.

Their body shape is exactly the opposite extreme of that of males.

These female snakes are tall and slender, with fine scales and antennae on their faces.

They generally have four hands.

Comes with at least four weapons.

These females have retained more memories and humanity due to the mutations after the catastrophe ten thousand years ago. Because of this, they have greater intelligence and magic power than their male counterparts.

In other words, more vicious and cunning.

He can also use magic!

"Wow"

Seven or eight female Nagas cursed and jointly launched a large-scale magic. Dazzling lightning surged on the sea, like dazzling thunder and lightning, sweeping across three orc troop transport ships.

Yes, these Nagas are fighting the orcs.

No one knows why this group of violent orcs appeared here. Perhaps they were planning to take a back route and attack Stromgarde Castle in the Kingdom of Stromgard.

But unfortunately, this group of outsiders don't know much about the horrors hidden under the reef sea.

Blake quietly lifted a piece of waterweed on his head and surfaced, looking at the battlefield in the distance. The lightning magic thrown by the female Nagas wiped out the soldiers on the three orc troop carriers.

But more orcs roared, carrying battle axes and hammers, and rushed out of the cabin. They were not afraid of the male Nagas who rushed onto the ship.

They fight these soft-skinned snakes in close combat, just like cutting down humans, harvesting the lives of these male Nagas with ease.

Unfortunately, there are no warlocks on board.

The orcs have long abandoned their ancient and pure shamanic beliefs, and they lack spellcasters.

I could only watch helplessly as those cunning and vicious female Nagas used lightning and water elemental magic to slowly bury their troop transport ship from a long distance.

The orcs' defeat is doomed.

They made the mistake of choosing to confront these Thornspine Nagas on the home ground of the Nagas. Their courage in desperate situations is worthy of praise, but courage cannot save their lives.

Blake sneered.

It probably stems from the memory of Prince Drake. He has no good impression of the orcs at all, even though he is a double agent in the game and is played by all the Alliance tribes.

But he has a greater sense of belonging to the new tribe established more than ten years later, rather than to these invaders from the old tribe whose hands are stained with blood.

He hates orcs and he hates naga.

Although he was eager to rush to the center of the battlefield and harvest massively, considering the increasing number of these Nagas, he still rationally extinguished this plan.

But just when he turned around and was about to take advantage of the chaos to assassinate a few orcs or Nagas to make some money, he suddenly heard a loud explosion and the terrified roars of the Nagas.

Blake turned around and saw an Orc troop carrier exploding.

The fire rose.

The orcs and naga on the ship were all swept in, and their flesh and blood flew everywhere.

It seems that the bloody orcs saw that they were outmatched, so they detonated the explosives on the ship used to sneak attack the human rear, and died together with Naga.

But this is not the point!

"That! That guy!"

Blake saw a male Naga that was larger than other Nagas. It was pushed by the fire and smashed onto the sea surface, landing right in the water in front of Blake.

Its scales are different from other Nagas.

It is pure cyan.

It looks like a beautiful piece of jade, and hanging on its thick neck is a pendant that exudes magical power.

When Blake turned back, he saw clearly that the talisman just now shone like a tidal wave of light, giving the naga a little time to escape before it was seriously injured.

Instead of being directly blown to pieces by the explosion of the ship, with such a powerful magic item, this guy's status is extraordinary!

Perhaps the leader of this group of Thornspine Nagas.

"Finding wealth and honor in danger, let's do it!"

Blake didn't hesitate for too long. He pulled out Werther's leg and dagger with a swipe, and while in stealth mode, he rushed toward the big Naga, which was only a dozen meters away.
