Chapter 1 Sold by My Father

Ye Suxue opened her eyes for the second time, and what she saw was the ancient wooden roof and the messy antique room. She curled up, holding her dizzy head tightly, motionless.

Suxue found it difficult to accept the fact that she had traveled through time, and that an older leftover woman had traveled through time and inhabited the body of a little girl.

There is no ancient memory in her mind, and Suxue's heart is full of uneasiness and hesitation.

Suddenly, there were rapid footsteps at the door. Suxue sat up and looked at the little boy who ran in in shock.

He looked to be eleven or twelve years old, with a dirty little face, disheveled hair, tattered clothes, and a large patch of scarlet stained on his chest, like... blood.

Seeing Suxue, the boy was stunned for a moment and asked: "Are you awake?" This question obviously did not require an answer from Suxue, and the boy immediately reported excitedly: "The bandits are gone!"

The boy stretched out his hand to her, as if he wanted to pull her up, "Come out quickly, there's no need to hide."

Suxue looked at the hand in surprise. Although the hand was dirty, it was delicate. She looked around and found that she was not sitting on the bed, but on the ground beside the bed, with the covering pulled off indiscriminately.

bed tent.

The boy retracted his hand, squatted down, and said patiently: "Don't be afraid, the bandits are all gone, and there's no one left outside."

Suxue's scattered brain finally grasped the key word "bandit". In modern times, bandits only appear on TV and novels. She could not imagine that there would be bandits in real life.

The room was quiet, and the sunlight passed through the window lattice and shone lazily on the floor. Apart from the room being a little messy, nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

"Have bandits really come here?" Suxue said, hearing her own childish and crisp voice.

The boy looked at her in surprise and asked, "Don't you remember?"

Suxue was frightened by the boy's question. She got up, endured the soreness in her body and walked to the window, opened it and looked at the yard.

"Ah——", Suxue screamed, her legs softened, and she collapsed on the ground, holding on to the wall and retching.

The yard was the same as in the house, with things scattered and overturned. What made Suxue's hair stand on end was that there were several corpses lying on the ground, with blood flowing all over the ground. The man lying near the window had one of his arms chopped off.

Only, the bare shoulder was covered in blood and flesh.

Suxue vomited for a while before she could hold back the churning in her stomach. She clenched her fists and tried not to think about what she had just seen.

The boy squatted beside her helplessly and asked nervously: "How are you?"

Suxue closed her eyes and shook her head weakly. As soon as she walked through, she saw the Shura field created by the bandits. What could she do?

Fear, sadness, and blame were of no avail. Suxue rubbed her face, cheered herself up in her heart, and forced herself to calm down.

Suxue looked at the boy and said, "I don't remember the bandits coming at all." At this time, pretending to have amnesia is the best protection.

The boy looked at her for a moment: "Then do you still remember me?"

"Who are you?" Suxue looked confused.

The disappointment in the boy's eyes flashed, and he calmly replied: "I'm just passing by."

Passing by? Yes, Suxue's own clothes are not as ragged as the boy's.

Suxue was eager to know everything here, so she asked: "Where is this?"

Seeing that Suxue really didn't remember it, the boy felt a little sympathetic and said truthfully: "The Lu family farm, the yard where the servants live."

Seeing that he had no intention of continuing, Suxue continued to ask: "What is your name? Why are we here?"

The boy glanced at her and replied selectively: "My name is Wang Zeran. Your father brought you here."

Suxue felt a little relieved. It turned out that this was not her home. The original owner still had family members. The situation was not as bad as she imagined.

"Where is my father now?"

Wang Zeran said coldly: "Dead."

"Dead? How? Where did you die?"

Wang Zeran said impatiently: "Your father has sold you, why do you still ask him?"

Suxue was frightened when she heard that she was sold by her father, and the original owner is now a slave, a maid?

Afraid that she would hear even more shocking things, Suxue asked in a low voice: "Do you know my father? How do you know about my family?"

Wang Zeran looked into Suxue's eyes, as if trying to awaken her memory, "You really can't recognize me?"

Suxue shook her head decisively and said frustratedly: "I can't even remember my name."

Wang Zeran was silent for a moment, and said with some comfort in his tone: "I don't know your name either. Your father brought you here from another town. He sold you to the eldest son outside Yuan Lu as an escort girl."

Wang Zeran looked at Suxue carefully and added: "Before the bandits came, you were waiting for your father in front of this courtyard. I saw with my own eyes the deal your father made with Butler Lu at the back door of the farm."

Suxue gritted her teeth, the original owner was actually sold by her own father.

Suxue felt a heart-wrenching pain in her chest. She missed her father. She couldn't imagine how her father, who lost his wife early in life, would survive without her as his only daughter.

Suxue clenched her fist, suppressed the longing and sadness in her heart, and asked calmly: "Then I am a girl of the Lu family now?"

Wang Zeran said firmly: "Logically it should be."

Suxue had the urge to hit someone. She paced around the room irritably, but she almost tripped over an overturned bench after taking only two steps.

Wang Zeran suddenly said: "The bandits robbed the farm. Everyone here was killed and captured by the bandits. It is estimated that everyone in the Lu family was also killed."

Suxue's eyes lit up. She had just been sold today, and not many people knew about it. If the parties involved were gone and there was no evidence, then she would still be free. Suxue's anxiety was relieved a little.

The top priority now is to leave here as soon as possible. If the girl's identity is confirmed, she will be in trouble.

Suxue followed Wang Yuze out of the courtyard gate. The scene on the street was similar to that in the courtyard. Dead bodies could be seen everywhere, with the most corpses at the back door of the farm.

Suddenly, Suxue felt as if her foot had touched something. She was slightly startled when someone hugged her leg.

Suxue lowered her head and saw a man lying on the ground, holding one of Suxue's legs with his hands, looking up at her with his face covered in blood.

"It's a fake corpse—" Suxue screamed miserably, shaking her legs and kicking them.

The man hugged Suxue's legs and did not let go, staring at Suxue's face with lust, and said in a dreamy voice: "Beauty, I know you, you are Ye Suxue, the new escort girl bought for me by Butler Lu."

Suxue's mind was buzzing. Could it be that he was Mr. Lu? Is he a human or a ghost?

Suxue clenched her fists and dug her nails into her palms. She thought that she had experienced time travel, so she was still afraid of someone who was neither a human nor a ghost? She squatted down and pulled the man's hand desperately. His hand was hot, not a ghost.

Suxue said: "Relax, I am not your girl, you are wrong."

"Beauty, I read it right. The young man pointed it out to me. You are my Young Master Lu's girl. Beauty, accept your fate." Young Master Lu drooled and spoke his usual words familiarly.

Accept your fate? The face of a heartless man crying in pain appeared in front of you, "Suxue, let's accept our fate. If I don't marry her, my family's business will never have a chance to turn around."
