Chapter 3 Heresy Part 2(1/2)

The door of a majestic tall tower building was surrounded by a large number of guards wearing bright silver metal armor. The joints of the armor were covered with white bright crystal stones. The guards held long spears and stood in two rows.
Sylvie and Zach stood quietly in front of the gate at the top of the long staircase. There were a large number of blue pattern reliefs on the double doors. This is the highest point in the Southern Holy City, and it is also the home of Mutt, the Great Elder of the South.
Imperial troops were standing all around the palace, and many Stakas looked very serious and solemn in their eyes.
Because everyone knows that the relationship between Sky Legion Commander Sylvie and the Southern Holy City has dropped to a freezing point over the years. This is all because in a previous heresy extermination battle, the Imperial Army did not provide any support to the Sky Legion, leading to isolation.
The helpless Sky Legion was severely weakened in the end. Although it successfully wiped out a large number of heretics east of the Southern Holy City, the Sky Legion suffered heavy casualties.
Since then, the Sky Legion has ignored all orders from the Southern Holy City. Even His Majesty the Empire personally ordered, and Sylvie refused with some reasons. There have even been several small-scale conflicts between the two sides over the years.
With an angry expression, Sylvie stared at the slightly glowing door angrily. She took a step forward, and Zach immediately grabbed her arm.
"What are you going to do?"
"I've waited long enough. If they don't open the door, I'll just kick it open."
Zach stood in front of Sylvie with an embarrassed look.
"Wait a little longer."
As soon as Zach finished speaking, Sylvie shook him away vigorously. Before Zach could react, Sylvie suddenly moved forward and swept over with a kick. There was a loud bang and the sound was heard all around.
The Imperial Army looked in horror as the heavy door was kicked open by Sylvie.
With a bang, the door that had been kicked open a small hole made a loud noise. The imperial troops around them became nervous. Sylvie's eyes showed a slight four-color light, and she walked in directly.
It is an empty hall with an Aztec sculpture in the middle. This is the most primitive god in this country.
The bottom part seems to be the head of some kind of bird, the middle part is a combination of some animal limbs, and there is a small sun disk at the top, like a crown. There are many strange symbols on the ground, and there are all around.
Some seats are used for daily rituals.
At the bottom of the hall, there is a spiral staircase built on the wall of the tower. Great Elder Mut lives at the top. In front of the sculpture, there is a high platform for sacrifice, with some different-colored crystals placed on it.
Stone carvings for sacrificial purposes.
"Why are you so angry, Commander-in-Chief of the Sky Force?"
An old voice came from above, and along with a buzzing sound, an old Steka slowly fell to the ground in the sky, with two pairs of dragonfly-like wings on its back, emitting a faint white light.
Sylvie stared angrily at the old Mystka with many wrinkles on his face. He was Mut, the great elder of the Southern Holy City.
"Stop talking nonsense, Mutt, why are you looking for me?"
Zach was on the side and just about to persuade him, Mutt immediately put his hand on his chest and bowed slightly.
"Your Excellency Sylvie, I invited you here to talk about business. It was not an order. I just asked the servants to cook a dinner. I apologize to you for my neglect."
Mutt bowed again, and Sylvie laughed.
"Go up there and talk..."
"No need, just talk here. I have to go back in a hurry. I have something urgent."
Mutt still had a pleasant face and was not angry at all because of Sylvie's rudeness. Zach said unhappily.
"Sylvie, what do you want?"
Sylvie sneered.
"Mutt, if you have something to say, hurry up or I'm leaving."
Seeing that Sylvie didn't give Mutt any face, Zach became a little anxious and immediately agreed.
"Sylvie, there is no need to feel bad about what happened a few years ago. It was just because of certain things..."
"Huh? This didn't happen to you. Of course you can stand and talk without pain in your back. I lost nearly 3,000 elite soldiers, while other low-level soldiers lost more than 10,000. Who will make up for our losses? No, right? And
How has the Holy City been doing these years? It has been constantly depriving us of supplies, and it has done a good job, hasn't it? Zach."
Xhaka didn't know what to say for a moment. Mutt was still smiling, but his smile was stiffer than before.
"Hey, Sylvie, forget about those things before. We were fighting in the west at that time, and we really couldn't mobilize our troops. Several elders who were present at the time can testify to this."
"Then what's the result?"
Sylvie's tone was a little aggressive.
"The campaign in the west has failed."
"The result is what you call a battle. In the end, we only lost less than 1,000 people and failed. However, our battle in the east was won! Well, I don't want to continue talking about it. I feel sick when I step here.
So comfortable, so disgusting!”
Saying that, Sylvie turned around and was about to leave. Just as Zach was about to stop her, Sylvie suddenly had a short blade in her hand.
"Get out of my way Zach, I'm not in a good mood today."
The smile on Mutt's face completely froze.
"Sylvie, it's like this. Your Majesty hopes that the three major legions can cooperate with our imperial army to exterminate the heretics entrenched in the west. This is why I came to you today to talk about these things."
Sylvie sneered and then said.
"You ask His Majesty Ashe to come here in person, otherwise there is no need to talk. I am not your subordinate, let alone an accessory of the Imperial Army. Please understand this, Mutt."
Mutt looked embarrassed and smiled awkwardly.
"Due to some reasons, His Majesty is unable to come over for the time being, but His Majesty will personally take action in this battle."
"What reason?"
Sylvie asked, and Mutt could only shake his head.

Sylvie asked in a strange voice. Mutt had no words and just smiled slightly. Then Sylvie walked slowly.
"Either His Majesty will come in person, or our Sky Legion will not be dispatched!"
While speaking, Sylvie had already run out quickly, leaving the broken door in an instant and jumping into the air. A pair of dark wings instantly opened, and she quickly flew into the sky, flying rapidly towards the distance.
.
"She is much stronger than before."
Zach murmured to himself, and Mutt laughed. From the moment he saw Sylvie spreading her wings, he knew that Sylvie's power now far exceeded his own.
"It would be bad if such a powerful combat force is attracted by those heretics. Zach, can you help me think of a way?"
Zach sighed helplessly.
"Uncle, it's not that I won't help you, it's just that if it were me, I wouldn't be able to accept what you did before. This kind of approach is equivalent to stabbing Sylvie in the back, which is really unacceptable."
Zach led the Earth Legion to clear out some heretics along the coast. Later, after hearing that Sylvie's Sky Legion had won a great victory, he rushed over, intending to bring some gifts to Sylvie, but ended up going to the scene.
Ke Cai knew that such a victory was too tragic.
Sylvie was in a coma at the time, and only 4 of the 16 lieutenants were left. Although they wiped out the cursers east of the Southern Holy City that had been entrenched for more than 10 years in one fell swoop, the price was that half of the legion was lost that time.
In the battle, the strategic plan at that time was that Sylvie would lead the Sky Legion to divide several heretical forces in the east, and then the Imperial Army would conduct an encirclement operation from the outside.
In the end, the Sky Legion succeeded, but the Imperial Army rushed to the west to fight, which was equivalent to abandoning the Sky Legion. In the end, Sylvie's troops were surrounded, and she could only order the entire army to attack. Although she won, the price was heavy
.
Since then, the Sky Legion has repeatedly ignored a series of orders issued by the Southern Holy City. There have been great differences and disputes over the issue of nearby tax materials, and there have even been several small-scale battles.
In the past, Sylvie was just a little indifferent, but overall she could still communicate with her and was relatively easy-going. But now Sylvie has completely changed. She always speaks and acts with aggression, and this time Sylvie
Mutt was frightened when he personally went to deal with the kidnapping of Steka, a woman in a small village who was about to marry a noble.
That's why Mutt hurriedly asked Zach to come over from the Northern Holy City near the northwest coast, hoping to rely on the slightest trace of friendship in the past to get Sylvie to come over and have a good talk with her, but it doesn't seem to be the case now.
Maybe we talked about it.
"Uncle, what's wrong with Your Majesty? I haven't seen Your Majesty in almost 10 years."
Mutt seemed speechless and patted his nephew on the shoulder.
"It's better not to ask further questions. The reason why His Majesty has not been here for a long time and has basically not left home for ten years is because of some big problems. This is a big problem related to the fate of the entire empire. When the liquidation operation officially begins,
You will see His Majesty when the time comes. There are rumors that His Majesty of the Empire has died long ago, and that the power is controlled by our five great elders. This is completely false. You have to believe His Majesty Zach."
"I can indeed trust your majesty, uncle, but what about Sylvie? She no longer trusts the empire at all. Her current sky army is more powerful than it was a few years ago. You should know that."
Mutt sighed. He also knew the problem Zach mentioned. What he was most afraid of now was that Sylvie had already come into contact with the heretics, and even went further and reached some verbal agreements.
To be continued...
