005 Serving Practice

The main lineup of the NCAA tennis team has a total of six singles and six doubles seats, and there are six substitute positions. Among them, singles players take into account doubles competitions is also very common.

In the team competition, a total of three doubles and six singles games are required.

It is precisely because of this that even freshmen can compete for the main position.

Previously, the fall season from September to November had just ended. As a traditional NCAA tennis team, the Bruins, had a total of four players entering the national singles ranking. Naturally, these four players entered the main lineup, including McDonald, who was the fourth single.

In addition, the four players, including Gao Wen, each have their own advantages and disadvantages, and their record and strength are not comparable. They will compete for the No. 5 singles and No. 6 singles.

Therefore, the first small goal after rebirth is number six - no, it should be the number one single.

"Mike, how about it? Let's start training now."

Gao Wen jumped up and rushed out towards the court like a deer.

McDonald was dumbfounded, "Now? But, coaches and they will have a while..."

Winter training is to train the entire tennis team together to prepare for the spring season.

However, according to the NCAA's explicit regulations, the training time per week shall not exceed twenty hours, which is to protect the player's career life, avoid early injuries, and also to ensure the completion of his studies.

During the offseason, the total training time per week is reduced to nine hours, because December is also the time for the final exam of college. Before the Christmas holiday, students still have heavy learning and examination tasks to complete. For the NCAA, this is an unshakable bottom line.

It is precisely because of this that winter training is easier than usual training.

Now, before the team's coaching team and other teammates arrived at the training ground, Gao Wen couldn't wait to go out for training, and McDonald was full of question marks:

Although Gao Wen usually trains very hard, it is rare to be so anxious. What's wrong today?

In a daze, McDonald rushed out, and then he could see that Gao Wen had started serving practice.

In tennis, the serving stage is the most special because it is the only link that is not disturbed by the opponent and is completely in your own hands.

Once the serve is completed, the next round is the confrontation, confrontation, calculation, oppression, and counterattack between the players. Both sides need to complete one decision after another that may change the direction of the game in a thousandth of a second, and both sides are constraining and restraining each other.

It can be said to be changing rapidly!

This also highlights the importance of serving. If you can establish an advantage through serving, you can seize the lead in the next round.

In fact, after understanding the connection between tennis and table tennis, you can better understand the sport of tennis.

In the 19th century, tennis was popular throughout Europe, but due to the restrictions of venues and weather, it could not be performed frequently. So British college students came up with ways to bring tennis indoors, using the dining table as a "ball table", bringing in the same rules but making some adjustments, and founding "Table Tennis".

This is the current table tennis - the International Table Tennis Federation is called "International-Table-Tennis-Federation". Although the literal translation of "Ping-Pong" has gradually become well-known, "table tennis" is still the official name of table tennis.

Once you understand table tennis, you will be able to understand tennis in a preliminary way.

These two sports, both about the art of rotation, require strong support from strength and explosion, require continuous calculations from the brain, and also pay attention to the advantages established by serving rights - the attack layout of the first three beats can often open up the gap.

The importance of serving is self-evident.

However, when it comes to specific serving techniques, there are obvious differences between table tennis and tennis.

Tennis serving is a full-body movement:

Bend your knees, push the ground, straighten your knees, twist your waist, and straighten your back; then pour all your strength towards the racket, complete friction and pressing down, and throw it out with all your strength like a whip.

This is a coherent movement, where the strength is initiated from the soles of the feet, and after a series of movements, it is poured into the palm. If there is any problem in any link, the serving effect may not be satisfactory.

In the fierce competition, when entering the second half, the physical strength dropped severely, the thighs could not be pushed up, and the legs could not be conveyed upwards, so they could only rely on the strength of their arms and shoulders to complete the serving movements. Then the speed and accuracy would drop rapidly, and even make continuous mistakes.

Andy Roddick, the top superstar who is known as one of the best serving players in history, will tell you by looking at his serve:

The knees are like springs, and the whole force is pushed to the ground, and the force is very sufficient. The body is like a full bow, pouring all the strength on the racket. The moment the serve is used, you can even see the tennis ball being directly flattened, creating the effect of a cannon serving.

Therefore, tennis serve training is also very complicated.

In the absence of a ball, it is common to start with basic movement exercises, movement decomposition exercises, complete movement exercises, and slap in the air.

When there is a ball, the above movements need to be repeated to continuously deepen muscle memory and stabilize the serve movements. It is common to have two hundred serves.

And all of these are just training serving movements and have not really entered practical practice.

Next, practice different serving types, pursue flat hits with extreme speed, pay attention to the rotating ball at the landing point, and make full use of skilled cutting serves. The main focus is on the way the racket and tennis balls are contacted, and the way the wrists use strength - this has not yet entered practical practice.

Then, it is the practice of landing, which is the so-called actual serving battle.

The first stage of exercise is to divide the serving area into nine grids, and each time the serving landing point is required to enter the designated target area.

The second stage will develop the nine-cup grid into "nine nine-eighty-one grid", with a total of eighty-one grids, and the goal is to enter the designated area every time the serve landing point-

It can be called pervert.

Therefore, those top serving experts often start at 500 serving times in daily practice.
