8 Mysterious Tunnels

At the beginning of this book, we mention the mysterious tunnel in the village. Since it is so mysterious, my friends and I naturally refuse to give up the opportunity to explore.

If the elders in the village had not told us actively that we little kids would have known that there was a tunnel in the village. In the past, it was invisible. The beginning of the tunnel was above the highway. If you didn't look carefully, you wouldn't have any flaws. Of course, if you could see it at a glance, wouldn't it underestimate the wisdom of our ancestors? It is said that the tunnel was dug by our ancestors to prevent bandits and warlords from sweeping, and some said it was dug to prevent the Japanese from entering the village. I think this is unlikely. The Japanese should have not yet attacked us!

Outside the tunnel is a short earth wall. Due to the years, it now looks half collapsed. Many weeds grow outside the earth wall, covering the earth wall. There are only a pile of messy weeds in the distance.

I am not considered a lot of bad ideas among my partners. Usually, it is suggested by others. I take the lead in execution. I am a natural executor. After the old people told one of us about this mysterious tunnel, the listener developed a hundred thousand curiosity. He might not sleep all night and imagine what it looks like in the tunnel. Who incited us to explore? I can't remember now. Maybe it's because everyone has a little understanding. Once a certain person's eyes are agile, we will act immediately. But the matter of going to explore must be hidden from the adults.

It was a hot summer day, the sun was very strong, and our skin was very dark by ultraviolet rays, and it looked like a little doll on the African Big 6. Everyone had a hint of naughty on their faces. We prepared the torches and wheatgrass in advance. The torches were made out of imagination, at least they could hold them. The wheatgrass was secretly pulled from a partner's house. Although the idea was not made by me, I was brave. They were all following me, with light steps, and were afraid of disturbing the soul resting in the tunnel.

I suddenly pretended to be very scared, and they were all screaming in fear, with big mouths open there. I pointed at their terrifying eyes and smiled extremely sinisterly.

I used my hands to peel open the weeds outside the earthen wall and walked into the weeds step by step.

Oh my god! A snake!

I was born to be afraid of snakes, and I was so scared that I quickly retreated back. Fortunately, the snake did not seem to be malicious, it just walked away silently. I watched the snake move with my horrified eyes. One of the partners was already shouting that they wanted to go home and were about to give up walking with us. I hate the people who let the water go in the middle of the journey, and told him to leave quickly, but the partner still did not leave. He was worried that he would miss an opportunity to gain knowledge.

The snake was like the guardian of the tunnel. I don’t know how many years it had been crawling there before waiting for us. After the snake left, I suppressed my fear and continued to move forward. I took the torch with my left hand, and a partner fired it one by one with foreign fire, but his hands were obviously shaking, and a partner next to me grabbed the foreign fire impatiently and ignited the fire.

The torch began to burn, and a strong smell of kerosene was poured. A lot of kerosene must have been poured on it. The kerosene was accumulated by my mother to light the kerosene lamp. My brother and I poured half a pot on the torch. I seemed to be a bandit leader, and I tiptoed toward the entrance of the tunnel step by step. The torch illuminated the tunnel, and we finally stepped into the tunnel.

Wow!

The tunnel was dug very flat and the space inside was very large. I, who was born with an adventure spirit, started to check slowly at the entrance of the tunnel to see if I could find some historical relics.

Oh my God! There are a pile of bones on the ground. We started to panic. At first we thought it was human corpses, but I recognized it from the skull that it was sheep's bones. Everyone calmed down, which means that before the ancestors evacuated, they had eaten mutton. The entrance of the tunnel was very military. As soon as they entered, there were two bunkers on both sides of the cave, which could stand about three adults. There was also a rusty Ma family gun inside! These two bunkers should be used for defense, or

If someone guards the entrance of the cave, he will be killed by the two sides. Looking back, there is a dirt stove with the pot on it missing, but a spoon is still on the stove, and it is already rusty. We took the spoon one by one, and a living picture appears in our minds. Two men squat on the ground, with the Ma family gun standing beside him, and they are joking while eating. A hearty laughter comes from the cave!

But strangely, how could this tunnel be as big as a room?

A friend pointed at the corner in surprise. We ran over and saw that there was a small hole on it, which could just get into an adult. With the help of my friends, I climbed up the hole, and it was pitch black inside. I asked my friend to hand me the flashlight. I looked at the light of the flashlight and the space inside became larger again, but it was not as big as before. The hole was winding and twisting and deep. Due to the soaking of rain, the inside of the hole was extremely uneven. There was a big hole under the small hole, which must have been washed away by water. Seeing the tunnel that was extending, I felt a little panic in my heart. If this was a strange divine beast that suddenly ran out of the inside, with a grim face, wouldn't I have become a delicious meal for the divine beast?

Thinking of this, I dare not move forward. I also learned the natural class in elementary school, and it may be lack of oxygen. My friends have long thought of evacuating quickly, and I can't be determined! While walking outside, I was thinking about what had been born, so I actually made my ancestors dig out such a wise tunnel!

It is said that the other end of the tunnel is on the other end of the mountain, and I firmly believe it. Because there is indeed a large entrance on the other end of the mountain, but no one has ever been in it. Now it has been covered by weeds and nothing can be seen. Now the farmer leads the water flow in the field from there and flows to the front of the tunnel, and there is the big pit I see!

As I grew up, I began to have huge associations.

One day, a group of people rode galloping horses into our village. They were holding short guns and big knives in their hands, each of whom was bearded. When an ancestor was watching on the mountain, he saw it, holding a long gun, firing a gun into the sky, and reporting to the villagers. The villagers immediately retreated to the tunnel, and the whole village became an empty shell. The group of big men who didn't know what they were doing was very angry and vowed to find the people in the village.

Later they discovered the tunnel and attacked the tunnel. The militia in the village fought fiercely with the group of people. The boss of the group watched his subordinates fall down at the entrance of the cave, and could only wipe his tears helplessly. He rode his horse alone, howling and urged the horse to leave...
