Chapter 17 Graduation Ceremony

In the next two days, I took my sisters to compare several tutoring evening schools according to the advertisements in the newspapers.

Annick found a school for the two sisters that was close and seemed regular, and then got familiar with the neighborhood.

The 25th came soon. Before leaving in the morning, Annick gave the two sisters 2 shillings for lunch and dinner. He packed his clothes and brought whiskey for his tutor, and took a bus to attend the graduation ceremony.

Still familiar with the school, Annick found Professor Russell's office.

"Good afternoon, tutor, thank you for your letter of introduction. I now have a decent job. This is a small gift my father asked me to bring you. I hope you will accept it."

Annick took out the whiskey from his father's collection and handed it to Mr. Russell.

"It is what tutors should do to find a way out for their students, not to mention the rare diligent students in my teaching career. Now I am missing a reliable assistant. My department is also missing a suitable successor."

Mr. Russell took the whiskey and put it on top of the bookcase. Mr. Russell really valued himself.

The tutor advocates procedural justice and strict enforcement of laws according to procedures, and forms two factions with another associate professor in the college who advocates ethics and moral education.

"A dull student like me is not suitable to guide my juniors. I imagine, mentor, you will find a suitable successor."

"Maybe, you and I will go to the graduation ceremony together today, and the instructor should be more direct. Should you give up or give up on that girl? You are not from the same world." Instructor Russell said sincerely.

Annick looked confused. His remaining memory did not have the memory of a girl. What kind of vulgar love story is this? Is this a bitter love for a certain young lady?

"Well, okay, it's not suitable for the two of them to get together and it's going to be a torment."

Instructor Russell looked at himself with an unbelievable look. He wanted to say something but stopped talking.

The graduation atmosphere was evident on campus. Students were everywhere walking together in twos and threes. Annick helped carry the instructor's briefcase and walked together to the school auditorium.

There is no concept of classes in this world. An associate professor will be responsible for leading a number of students and guiding students' studies and papers. In professional courses, students of the same class will be taught by full-time lecturers.

A department has only one professor, who serves as the department chair or dean.

The auditorium has a fan-shaped layout, with students from different departments placed in different areas, while faculty and staff have seats placed behind the auditorium.

After Annick handed the tutor's briefcase to Mr. Russell, the grammar department was assigned to the lower left corner of the auditorium. He found a corner by the aisle and tried to sit there without any sense of presence, as students continued to enter the auditorium.

"Hey, long time no see. Isn't this our good baby? But it's hard to imagine that you would do such a crazy thing for that woman, haha. Brother, she's not worth it."

The mean voice came from the man in front of me. He was a cool, bad boy-looking man wearing a sleeveless leather jacket, with short blond hair and a high nose.

Brandon, who is also a student under Professor Russell, has a cynical personality and a free and undisciplined nature that gives his mentor a headache.

"Good morning, Brandon, I am a new me. Whatever I did in the past has been cut away."

Annick replied that in fact this was not a lie, he indeed did not have much memory left.

"That's good. It's just a woman. Brother, please move a seat for me. I want to sit by the aisle. Who knows how long those chattering old men will talk for. One hour is already the most respect I can give Mr. Russell. Time

I'll leave before you finish speaking."

Annick moved inside to make room for this old man.

As the ceremony approached, the auditorium was filled with people. When Annick was leaning on his chair and closing his eyes to meditate, the corner of his clothes was pulled by Brandon.

"What's up Brandon, it's not even an hour yet."

Annick opened his eyes and looked at Brandon, only to see his fingers pointing to the right front.

A young woman with blond hair, blue eyes, good face, and fair skin was standing over there, holding a cloth bag in her hand.

"Do you have anything to ask me?" My tutor is responsible for a total of eight students in this class, and he has no impression of this beautiful girl.

In addition to myself and Brandon, there are three other men and three women, all of whom are basically casual acquaintances. To say that the deepest relationship in Eggsburg is between Semyon and the three of them.

"Are you pretending to have amnesia for your poor self-esteem? You are still ashamed of your past behavior." The woman in front of him almost yelled with anger.

"Miss, something happened to me last month, and I really don't remember the past very clearly. If there was any offense in the past, please forgive me."

Annick did not lie. Now he is Jiang Yangshuo from the earth instead of Annick who was born in Bruguet.

The girl in front of her didn't say anything. She grabbed a handful of envelopes from the bag and threw it at Annick's face.

"It's hard to imagine that someone who can write such disgusting love words is now pretending not to admit it. Although there is no shortage of love letters among my many suitors, I want to protect your self-esteem and pretend not to admit it." The girl threw the letter away.

Then he turned around and left.

Annick didn't say a word. After picking up the letters on the ground, he threw them all into the trash can in the auditorium. Brandon froze there as if he didn't recognize himself.

"Have you really lost your memory?"

"It's genuine. By the way, who is that?" Annick shrugged.

"Taylor, the most beautiful woman in our class is said to be the daughter of a certain nobleman. You wrote love letters to her for three years and you forgot all about them? You also agreed to duel with her fiancé. It wasn't Mr. Russell who held you back.

It’s probably getting cold now.”

"I have no memory. Although this person is beautiful, she shouldn't risk her life."

"You are quite self-aware. This Taylor is not easy to chase. It is said that many boys in the school have a relationship with her. No matter how expensive the gift is, she can't move her heart."

Isn’t the point that you already have a fiancé? Later generations will call this kind of senior green tea.

The graduation ceremony began with a speech by the principal, followed by speeches by professors from each department, plus outstanding student representatives.

Brandon in the next seat was already snoring, and Annick thought it was really a lullaby.

After two hours of speeches, it was time for each department to issue graduation certificates. When it was Annick's turn, most of the auditorium was already filled.
