Chapter 50 Hospitals

"What the hell is this?" Old Betsy crawled out from the grain pile, with wheat still stuck to her head.

"I don't know, it's probably the legendary werewolf." Annick kicked the body of the man in front of him and confirmed that it was dead. He was about to move his body and walk out the door, but suddenly his vision went black and he fainted.

It had a pungent smell of alcohol and flowers. Annick even smelled the scent of pumpkin when he inhaled it.

Annick tried to open his eyes, and saw a dazzling light in front of him. After adapting to the light, he saw a white ceiling in front of him. Annick turned his head, and covered himself with a thin white sheet.

On the left is an old woman sitting on a chair, holding a bowl of porridge and passing it to an old man on the bed.

"Dear, please bring me a newspaper next time you come here. This is so boring."

It was old Betsy who made this sound. He was lying on the bed. There was a small wooden table on the bed with some fruits on it.

"On the last day of retirement, you can still be injured like this and still be in the mood to read the newspaper. Is our plan to travel around the world postponed? Why is the young man in the next bed still awake? Did you hit the devil?" The old woman listened.

He asked angrily.

"Haha, there is a devil. I just encountered a few new small criminal gangs. The recent young people don't know the importance of their actions, and they dare to attack the police."

Old Betsy was playing careless. "Little Annick in the next bed probably didn't get enough sleep and was catching up on sleep. His heartbeat was quite normal, and he just slept for a day and a night." Speaking of this, Old Betsy felt a little guilty.

It's also much smaller.

"Can Mrs. Betsy find me a glass of water?" Annick felt that his lips were about to split, and the feeling of thirst overwhelmed the pain in his left hand.

The two people who were talking immediately turned their attention to the right when they heard this sentence. Mrs. Betsey hurriedly found a teacup in the wooden cabinet between the two beds, poured a cup of warm water and handed it to Annick.

"Drink slowly, little sister next to you, your brother is awake."

"Where is the little sister next to you?"

Mrs. Betsy pointed to the space between the right side of Annick's bed and the wall. Annick moved his body and stuck his head out to take a look.

A young girl was lying on the bedding on the ground, her eyes closed tightly, her black hair uncombed, a little curly and messy.

There was even a handful of hair about to enter the half-open mouth, and Annick stretched out his hand to peel off the hair covering his face.

The girl was awakened by this movement. She slowly opened her eyes and saw a man with a bandage on his left hand and wearing a white hospital gown. His right hand had not yet been withdrawn and was still in the air.

Then he quickly bounced it up, and after groping for a while with his hands on his face, he confirmed that there was no paint on his hands and then he spoke.

"You didn't scribble on your lovely sister's face, did you?"

"That's the first sentence? Good morning Irena." Annick said with a smile.

"Humph, you slept so soundly. You have no idea how bad it is in the hospital. The child in the next room cried for half the night last night, which made me lose sleep."

Irena packed her bed and sat down on Annick's bed.

"Be gentle, you pressed my leg. Your brother is still a patient."

"Are you saying I'm fat? How can you say such a thing to a lady?"

After Annick drank the water in one breath, he looked around to confirm that there were only four people in the room, and then asked.

"Irina Le? Why didn't you see it?"

"She was here during the day yesterday. I asked her to go back first at night. If you don't wake up today, I will ask her to take the train to inform her parents tomorrow. It's time to come over now," Irena replied.

"This little girl has been guarding you here for more than a day. The two sisters rushed to the hospital an hour after you were sent here the day before yesterday. The first night the little girl was still sobbing next to you. If I hadn't asked about your relationship, I

I'm all wondering how you are so lucky to have two little lovers." Old Betsey joked beside you.

Irena's face suddenly turned red, "Old sir, what are you talking about? We are just brothers and sisters."

"Wow..." At this moment, the door was pushed open. Then a clear female voice came from outside.

"Sister, I brought you a change of clothes today. Why don't you go back and rest for a day during the day and I'll watch over my second brother."

A girl with short black hair and brown eyes came in. Seeing Anike half lying on the hospital bed, the girl's hands let go of the bag in her hands and covered her mouth with her hands.

"Hey, good morning Irina." Annie waved to her.

Irina picked up the cloth bag on the ground, then sat on the left side of Annick's bed. She took out an apple from her pocket, peeled off the skin with a knife placed on the wooden cabinet, and handed it to Annick.

"What do you want to eat? Are you hungry after sleeping for so long?" Irina asked.

"I want to eat rice. It's said to be delicious." Annick didn't feel very hungry, but it was rare that he could be willful and wanted to eat rice that he hadn't eaten in a long time.

"Okay, my sister and I will buy it for you now. If you want to think about how to write a letter to your parents, they might have received the letter today and rushed here."

The two sisters rolled up their bedding, each holding a quilt and walked out.

"Old lady, I'm going back to prepare lunch first. Old man, you two can have a chat. Old man, I'll buy whatever newspaper you want."

Mrs. Betsy took away the bowl, opened the door and left. Only the two people on the hospital bed were left in the busy room just now.

"What happened to Mr. Betsy later?" Annick asked while chewing an apple.

"After you suddenly fainted, I moved to the door of the warehouse with difficulty. Outside were workers who were hiding and watching from a distance when they heard the gunshots. I asked two of them who were brave enough to come in and help carry you out, and then asked them to block it.

We arrived at the scene, and just when we were about to be sent to the hospital, the captain rushed over. After seeing the scene, he asked Bell to send us to the hospital."

"Only the captain is here?"

"I remember we met a few people from the Special Operations Division on the road. Yesterday, the captain accompanied an elderly man in black, whose epaulettes should be senior police inspectors, to check your wounds. The captain said he would come after you wake up.

I’m asking you something.”

In the Special Operations Division, Annick knew that they were a unit dedicated to managing extraordinary events, and he could not explain why he sacrificed his life to kill the werewolf this time.

Last time I was able to fool two novice-looking men in black, but this time I'm afraid it will be difficult. Thinking of this, Annick even wanted to lift the quilt and run away.

But his left hand was bandaged and still hung around his neck. Who knew if there was someone watching outside the building who found him trying to escape and shot him on the spot.

Annick felt that he should have awakened and become one of the extraordinary beings, but his current state should be what his father said was the most preliminary awakening. He still couldn't stop the bullet, and Annick knew this very well.

He simply broke the jar and dropped it. Thinking of this, Annick finished eating the apple core and threw it into a trash can seven or eight yards away.
