Chapter 15

Chapter 2 Qing Tak~ The thousand-year-old guardian's love and friendship are strong

: Paper Crane

This month is Shenwuyue, also known as Shiyuyue.

In the rainy season, after the rain stopped, the ground was still wet and covered with mud.

According to legend, in this month, all the gods will gather in "Izuyun" for a meeting. In addition to "Izuyun", Japan has no gods, so it is called "Shenwuyue".

Izumo is a local northern city in China, Honshu Island, Japan, and belongs to Shimane Prefecture.

Izumo (いずも, izumo), one of the ancient Japanese ruling countries, belongs to the mountain, also known as Yunzhou.

The territory of Izumo Kingdom is approximately the eastern part of Shimane Prefecture.

This place often appears in Japanese mythology, and legend has it that many gods live here.

A heavy rain washed the earth, the air was filled with the smell of fresh grass and trees, and there was thick mud on the ground that had not yet dried.

The mud is deep into the calves, which not only sucks the feet, but also sticks to the feet. The muddy feet become very heavy, making it difficult to walk.

It is really hard to walk on such a mountain road, and unless there is something very important, no one will go out at this time.

However, there are indeed people rushing to the road, although the road is covered with mud and bumpy.

It is difficult to walk on the mountain road, but fortunately there is moonlight in the sky.

It is already fourteen, and the moon in the sky is very bright. You don’t need torches when you are rushing in the dark.

On the mountain road near the suburbs of Peachianjing, two monks were rushing to the road.

They came from the direction of Kaohsiung Mountain and were rushing to Ping'an Jingcheng.

It's almost here, you can already see Heianjing from afar.

"Look, paper crane... Zhiquan, you see, flying..." An elderly young monk pointed at the sky.

The young monk was about 37 years old, wearing a hat on his head and a tin staff in his hand. He was tall, firm in his eyes, straight facial features, and righteous.

The tin staff (Brahma khakkara) is a prop carried by monks when they walk. It is one of the eighteen objects of monks.

The form of the tin staff is the magic weapon held by Tang Sanzang in Journey to the West.

When a monk travels with a tin stick, the tin stick rings will collide and alarm poisonous insects in the forest and the evil beasts retreat. They can be used as crutches or self-defense.

If so, Gao Yue gives people a calm feeling.

This young monk gives people a sense of stability and security.

The young monk named "Zhiquan" was wearing a hat. He raised his head and held the front edge of the hat with his hands, looking at the direction of the young monk's fingers.

Zhiquan is about twenty-two years old, with delicate facial features and handsome appearance. His eyes are clear and bright, and his appearance is very smart and smart, giving people a very pure feeling.

Gao Yue's eyes were filled with a hint of melancholy, very cold and quiet.

This Zhiquan has sunshine, joy and friendship in his eyes.

Zhiquan - the same handsome man as Gao Yue! But the two have completely different temperaments.

The young monk said to Zhiquan: "It's indeed flying... look into the sky quickly."

‘Does it fly...? It’s the wind that blows the paper crane into the sky!’ Zhiquan looked into the sky from afar, and he didn’t believe it very much.

At the end of the eyes, there was indeed a paper crane in the sky.

The paper crane emits a faint halo under the moonlight.

Flying...

Paper cranes are flying...

It's really flying...

The paper crane floats steadily in the sky, not to say it is floating, it has a fixed movement trajectory, but indeed it is flying.

Paper cranes are flying steadily in the sky.

"It's very interesting, Master, this paper crane is flying. Is it a problem, right?" Zhiquan looked at Kōkai and asked with confusion on his face.

The young monk said, "It's true, Zhiquan, look carefully, the paper crane does not float in the wind?"

Yes, it's flying, paper cranes are flying in the air.

Indeed, the paper crane bypassed the treetops, and its wings did not dance, but it flew steadily in the air.

It seems as if someone is playing with it, as if walking on a specific waterway.

"Zhiquan, please pay attention to it and remember it carefully. This is a paper crane for the transmission of the letter," Kōkai explained to Zhiquan.

The two of them were walking on the mountain road, but their eyes followed the paper cranes.

"It's very interesting, it's my first time seeing it," Chizumi answered seriously as she watched the paper crane flying.

"You see clearly that the white color of this paper crane represents a general letter." Professor Kōkai asked Zhiquan.

Listening to the two of them’s answers, it was obviously a master-apprentice relationship.

"The color of this paper crane represents different letters?" Zhiquan listened carefully and asked: "It's very interesting. Does the book crane have different colors? What does it mean?"

The young monk said: "It is not different colors. Emergency and important books will be added with feathers and will be enchanted. Even if teleported during the day, it cannot be easily seen. You will only see the feathers floating in the sky. Different feathers represent different types of books, and their urgent and important degrees."

"Oh, so that's how it is." Zhiquan suddenly realized.

"This kind of ordinary letter without feathers is only transmitted at night," the young monk added.

"Who is teleporting these paper cranes? Are you not afraid of being taken by others?" Zhiquan's curiosity was aroused.

The young monk said: "These white paper cranes are usually released after midnight, and they fly very high, and almost no one will find out who will go out so late? We can meet them because we are rushing late at night, and the moon is bright today, it just rains, the air is wet, and the paper cranes are stained with water vapor and fly short, so we happen to see them."

Zhiquan said: "It is really rare to meet with fate. If you don't see it with your own eyes, you really can't believe that there is such a Dharma in the world."

The paper crane flew very quickly and had already exceeded the sight of the two of them. The flight route was ahead of them. Is the paper crane also going to the city of Heian?

The two of them walked in a hurry, even though the mountain road was difficult to walk, they had no intention of rest at all. It seemed that there was a very important urgent matter to rush to do.

"I wonder which sect's Dharma is this?" Zhiquan asked curiously.

The young monk said to Zhiquan: "It is a Taoist law. There should be people who understand Taoism nearby. This is indeed their crane of the letter."

"It's very interesting. The paper crane is the Taoist technique? Is it the Abe family of Yin-Yang Tao?" Zhiquan smiled on his face.

Zhiquan's heart is pure and everything is interesting in his eyes.

"Although Yin-Yang Tao originated from Taoism, it is not certain that it was the Abe family. Buddhism originated from India, and our Tantric Buddhism is one of the schools. Taoism is the traditional state religion of the Tang Dynasty. After it was introduced to Japan, Taoism has derived other tributary schools." The young monk analyzed one by one.

"Tributary? Sect? Are the master talking about Yin-Yang Taoism and Shintoism? I know, they are all branches of Taoism." Zhiquan also inferred.

"It is not just the Yin-Yang Tao and the Shen Tao. Compared with secret techniques, Taoism has been spread earlier and wider in Japan. There are many schools and magic, and many magics are passed down to different sects. They have also absorbed a lot of magic points from different sects. Taoist Gu, Witch, Poison, etc. are very dangerous. Try not to be related to them unless necessary." Kōkai explained, reminded, and instructed.

Zhiquan stretched out his tongue and made a terrified expression, but in fact he was dissatisfied and said, "Is Taoism more powerful than Tantric Buddhism?"

I only heard the young monk continue to say: "When I was in the Tang State, I heard from Huiguo's teacher that Taoism and Tantric Buddhism coexisted in the Tang State's palace and were of equal strength. In order to test the laws of the two sects, the Emperor of Tang often had an imperial examination in front of the palace."

"It's very interesting. What's the imperial examination in front of the palace? What are you taking? Which family won the two families?" Zhiquan was very curious.

The young monk sighed and said calmly: "Hey, is it interesting? It's true that the so-called imperial examination in front of the palace actually requires two sects to fight."

Zhiquan is still childish and said, "It's very interesting, very interesting, fighting? What kind of fighting is it? Who wins the battle? Did we win or Taoism win?"

The young monk said seriously: "The real battle is indeed a battle. Master Huiguo said that the battle must be made to look equal."

"Why? Are you not the same? Winning means winning, losing means losing. You should face it bravely and accept it. Otherwise, wouldn't it be cheating or fake?" Zhiquan was puzzled. His personality did not accept fraud.

The young monk explained to him: "Taoism allows the method of the side and left-minded. As long as the method of quick and rapid development is used by Taoism. Therefore, there are also extremely evil methods in Taoism. The Taoism doctrine is that "good and evil are not in harmony, and those who are not my own will be punished." This makes the method they practice can only reach the method of the Heavenly Tribe."

The young monk paused and said one after another: "Our Tantric teachings are compassionate and love to save sentient beings. The practice of Tantric teachings is the Buddhist path, which is called the Dharma of the Buddha. The mind practiced by the two schools is different, and the Buddha's teachings are one level higher than the Heavenly teachings."

Zhiquan was even more puzzled and frowned and said, "That's why we are better. Why do we say we are equal in strength? It's clear that we win, so why do we make the battle seem to be incomparable?"

The young monk said: "Taoism is an inherent religion in Middle Earth, and it was deeply rooted in the Tang Dynasty. However, since Tantric Buddhism was introduced to Middle Earth in India and was appreciated by the Emperor of Tang Dynasty, the great acharya of Tantric Buddhism was regarded as the national teacher and had seized the position of Taoism. If every time the imperial examination in front of the palace wins Taoism, it will inevitably form a deeper bond with Taoism and an indelible grudge."

Zhiquan suddenly realized: "So that's the case, then we'll lose to them."

The young monk said, "No, if we lose to Taoism, Tantra will be worthless in the heart of the Emperor of Tang."

Zhiquan said: "Why is it so troublesome? It's not right to win or lose. What should I do? Otherwise, it's even more difficult."

The young monk said seriously: "Zhiquan, I hope you remember what I said today."

Zhiquan replied respectfully: "Well, I will remember."

The young monk said, "It is difficult to win others without embarrassing them, but as long as you are kind, you can do it. You must remember: There is heaven beyond heaven and there are people beyond man. The most powerful person is not to defeat the enemy, but to make your enemies admire you from the heart and be willing to be your friend. Forgive others wherever you have to forgive them."

The two walked and talked, rushing on this late moonlit night.

who are they?

Where are they going?

What urgent things do they have to do?

Why are there anyone sending messages to paper cranes in this deep mountain?

Maybe it is not Taoism, but Yin-Yang Tao, Shen Tao, or other Taoist schools?

who are they?

What do you want to do?

What exactly happened?

This bustling drama is about to open...
