Chapter five hundred and ninety sixth capture
A decayed breath swept across Orion.
The entire streets of the Forgotten Land were filled with a creepy silence, but what shamed Aurelian even more than this silence was the sound in her belly.
Orellian shook his head and threw his physical discomfort out of his mind, focusing on the danger hidden in the ruins.
In order to warn them to stay away from the Forgotten Land and the world of humanity, the elders had heard of legends related to the Forgotten Land since Aurelian was still young.
In legend, this is a place built by dangerous blasphemers who have peeked at the ‘existence’ they should not see in order to pursue the truth, resulting in the blasphemers of the entire city becoming a monster of flesh and blood.
The elders used up all the words that Aurelian felt disgusted when describing that monster. Aurelian believed that if she met that monster in reality, she would definitely feel very disgusted, but unfortunately there was nothing in her belly that could make her vomit.
"Sister Aurelian, it seems that there has been no sign of biological activity here for a long time."
An elf patrolman used his hand to cut through the dust piled up on the ground, but shortly after she said this, Aurelian saw footprints left by someone on the road not far away.
"Don't talk."
Orrilian raised his hand slightly to signal the four patrolmen behind him to keep quiet.
The footprints on the ground stretched deep into the Forgotten Land. Judging from the size of the footprints, they looked like Al. Are there three other people following her?
Aurelian focused her attention, and the outstanding hearing of the high elf allowed her to capture all kinds of noisy sounds from the depths of the Forgotten Land.
The sound of flames burning and the sound of liquid gradually bubbled together. If Orellian listened carefully, she could still hear the creepy...chewing sound!
Is it true that monsters live in the Forgotten Land?
Aurelian shivered inexplicably, but she still took the role of a team leader and carefully led the patrol team to the depths of the forgotten land.
In less than ten minutes, Aurelian led the patrol team to the end of the Forgotten Land.
In the center of the Forgotten Land, there is a huge prototype building, and the streets on both sides start with this building and extend outward.
"Sister Aurelian, where can I see!"
A patrolman discovered that a building on one side of the street was a little abnormal, which was so clean than other dilapidated buildings on the street.
"The sound comes from there."
Orellian's long ears shook, and she could clearly hear the sound of swallowing and chewing inside.
There was no window on the front of the building, only a door that had been carefully wiped. The door was only a small gap, as if deliberately telling Aurelian that the door was not locked.
“Be ready.”
Instead of walking straight to the door, Aurelian walked around the building and looked around. Through the window on the second floor of the building, she could only vaguely see the lights inside, and the view of the lobby on the first floor was blocked by the corridor.
Finally, Orion brought the members of the patrol team under her command to approach the door. The silver inscription had already condensed on her longbow. When Orion was about to open the door, the players behind her were also ready to attack.
The sound of chewing and swallowing became clearer, especially the sound of a bit like a bone being bitten, which made Orellian tense up all over.
Orellian exhaled slightly, suddenly opened the door, pulled the longbow and pointed it inside!
But Aurelian did not see a monster with a twisted body in this building, but... he saw a high elf swallowing the flesh and blood of living creatures.
"Al!"
Aurelian looked at the high elf sitting in the middle of the lobby in surprise. The corners of her mouth were filled with red and sticky liquid, and there were a lot of plates piled up on her hands.
This shouldn't be the eating habit that high elves should have! Could it be that children with this problem have been corroded by monsters?
The scenery inside the building made Aurelian come back from that terrifying illusion, because the scenery inside the building and the gloomy and desolate atmosphere of the Forgotten Land are really too different!
The green tender leaves and branches on the pure white walls form an exquisite and beautiful pattern, and the chandeliers on the ceiling exude orange light and exudes a strange sense of warmth.
Where is this place? Orellian looked back and looked behind her, and she could be sure that behind her was a gloomy place of forgetting.
Is this door a teleportation array?
A large number of questions swept across Aurelian. Before she could think clearly about what was going on, a strange voice rang in her ear.
"Welcome to Hearthstone Tavern, do you have anything to do?"
“Heartstone Tavern?”
Aurelian suddenly looked at the place where the sound was made, and a...human male was standing there and looking at him with a smile.
"My name is Josho Yanorod, and this is the tavern I opened." Josho looked at the four high elves and introduced himself in a friendly tone.
"Is what the Humanity...the Elders' Council said true?"
After Aurelian judged Qiao Xiu's identity, he took a step back instantly, pulled the bowstring in his hand and pointed the arrow at Qiao Xiu.
"This lady...You came to this tavern as a guest, but it doesn't mean you can do such a rude behavior."
Qiao Xiu's expression on his face looked at the arrow did not change at all.
"Get out of here! Arthur Crow's invader."
Aurelian issued a stern warning to Joseph.
"Invader? But your holy tree invites me to come here." Qiao Xiu said.
"Holy Tree?"
"Sister Aurelian, don't be deceived by him."
Another member of the patrol team spoke to remind Aurelian. Aurelian instantly returned to the god without hesitation, and directly pointed the arrow at Qiao Xiu's leg and released the bowstring.
But just before her aim, her gaze suddenly became tranced, and then... she missed the shot, which was a bit outrageous!
The arrows she shot directly destroyed a round table not far away.
Orellian covered her forehead. She understood that she was a little weak because of hunger, but it did not mean that she would make such a low-level mistake.
She turned her head and noticed that behind Qiao Xiu was a human, and the lavender inscription overflowing from the other party's hand had just disappeared.
Magic that affects the spirit?
No matter what, Aurelian did not intend to stop the attack. When she was about to use coercive means to drive these humans away...
"I still hope that more customers will come to visit this new store, but you are not welcome to be extremely rude guests like you."
Qiao Xiu snapped his fingers gently. This time, Qiao Xiu did not take action personally, but Aurelian's movements stopped there at this moment.
Frost Elf? Orellian looked up and saw an elf with long silver hair appearing on the second floor. This is a feature that only Frost Elf has, but the other party's pupils were golden vertical pupils.
The moment Aurelian looked at the frost elf, his body's movements frost there. The next second before she could react, a large amount of frost suddenly condensed on the ground, imprisoning her and other patrol team members there.
The frost slowly spread to her whole body. It was too late for Aurelian to struggle. Except for her head... the rest of her body was already imprisoned by a cage made of ice.
"This way I will be much more obedient." Qiao Xiu said.
