Chapter 8 Qi Yuanshan

When it was getting dark, Li Zhen was already on the bus. From here to Pingyang, it was said that it took eight hours to take the expressway. However, the summer earthquake damaged the expressway section, so the long-distance bus could only detour. In this way, it would take twelve hours.

This is the first time he has been riding such a long car since he was born.

The ticket cost six yuan and another one yuan to eat the boxed lunch on the long-distance bus - some hard rice, served with fried bean sprouts, chili ham and fried eggs. Although the taste was not good, Li Zhen almost burst into tears... This was the first decent meal he had eaten in more than half a year.

The young man sitting next to him who was suspected to have come out to work was a little dazed when he looked at him eating voraciously. He also licked every grain of rice left in the lunch box very carefully, and didn't know what to say. He had seen something that could be eaten - but he had never seen a box of lunch after six bites.

He fiddled with his cell phone for a while, and couldn't help but look at Li Zhen's messy hair and abnormally delicate face, and guessed the background of this companion by the window.

Li Zhen found someone secretly looking at him, turned his head and looked at him. The man next to him looked no older than him - a national face, square chin, two thick eyebrows, and red cheeks. He looked like a young man from the village, with a honest and honest look on his face. He was about to smile at the other party as saying hello, but his stomach started to roar again.

He blushed suddenly.

After two and a half years of high school, he certainly knew that wound healing requires energy stored in his body, so he became particularly edible. However, after returning to Pingyang, he still didn't know if he could find a home, and there were still 43 yuan left in his pocket...

He looked at the small dining cart with lunch boxes in front of the aisle, and resisted the urge to ask for another portion.

The boy next to him saw his expression and movements. He pursed his lips for a while, touched his pocket, and then shouted loudly: "Hey, give me two lunch boxes!"

After a while, the ticket seller who was also a waiter pushed the cart and handed him two boxes with his hands and feet, and gave him two pairs of chopsticks. The boy opened a box, broke open the chopsticks, put it on the baffle in front of the seat and ate a few bites. Then he frowned and said, "Well... the stomach hurts."

He took another bite, put down the chopsticks with a sad face, placed another box of lunch beside him, and pushed Li Zhen with his elbow: "Oh."

Li Zhen turned his head and said, "Ah? What's wrong?"

"I have a stomachache, I bought too much." He pointed to his stomach, "You can help me eat a box, or you can't get it back."

After thinking about it, I added: "I can't eat it even if it's cold."

Li Zhen stared at him in a daze, his throat moving. In fact, when the boy opened the first lunch box, the fragrance attracted all his attention. It was definitely not a simple feeling of hunger, but the feeling of last winter night - the feeling of "eat, eat, eat". He had to force himself to look at the mountains outside the window so that he could make his saliva less anxious.

When I saw the expression on the face next to me again - Li Zhen certainly knew that he was not really having a "stomach pain".

For a moment, his eyes almost became wet. Whether it was his clothes, the gold yuan in his pocket, or the boy in front of him, he felt the long-lost warmth.

But he still forced a smile: "No, I'm not too hungry."

However, the boy put down the baffle in front of him without saying a word and placed the unopened box on it: "Don't waste it if you eat a little bit."

Li Zhen shook his hand, and finally said "hmm" from his nose, barely said "Thank you", then opened the lunch box and covered his face with the erected lid.

Seeing that he had finally eaten, the boy laughed in his heart and continued to eat his own meal.

This time, Li Zhen ate very slowly - on the one hand, he wanted to taste this long-lost taste carefully, but on the other hand, because his throat was always choked and he couldn't eat it so quickly. Only when the rice was seen, he controlled his emotions, but he didn't have the nerve to lick the rice grains clean.

When he raised his head, the man had finished eating and was looking at him and grinning: "I won't waste it now. Hehe."

Li Zhen took a breath and smiled: "My name is Li Zhen, thank you."

"You're welcome, everyone has difficulties." The boy's words sounded quite mature, but his slightly immature face seemed a little out of tune with this. "My name is Qi Yuanshan."

"Well..." Li Zhen responded, but didn't know what to say. He just ate a box of lunch... I'm embarrassed to turn my head again?

Fortunately, Qi Yuanshan asked again: "Where are you going? Is the ending sun coming down?"

"Well, I'll go to Pingyang. Where are you?"

"I'll go to Pingyang, too, to find my aunt." Qi Yuanshan patted his legs, "I won't finish the college entrance examination, so I'll go to my aunt's barbecue restaurant to help. Where are you? Are you working or what?"

"I..." Li Zhen opened his mouth and sighed slightly, "I... go find someone." He looked at Qi Yuanshan again, "If I can't find it... I will look for it while working."

"Oh. Are you going to find your fellow villager?" Qi Yuanshan obviously regarded Li Zhen as a rural child who came out to find work after high school after high school. After all, whether from Li Zhen's hairstyle or his clothes, he didn't look like a city man. "If you can't find him, it's okay to come to my aunt. She is a very young man, I'll tell you."

Faced with such enthusiasm, Li Zhen had to say no. Qi Yuanshan thought he was embarrassed to ask for help, so he reported his mobile phone number and asked Li Zhen to call him if he had something to do.

Li Zhen followed him to read the number and then found that he had clearly recorded it. It was not the usual, vague memory, but when he thought about that number, the numbers seemed to be clearly formed in his mind - he even felt that he could see the colors of those numbers clearly!

But such a small surprise did not make him lose his composure - when a person can be resurrected from the grave, there are very few things that can truly surprise him.

During the next twelve-hour journey, the two of them kept chatting with each other. But Li Zhen had his own thoughts and was not very interested. He only told Qi Yuanshan that his hometown was a small village further north and he lost his ID card on the way. As for whom he was looking for in Pingyang, Yuanshan had already helped him get rid of his lies.

During the conversation, he learned that Li Zhen was seven months younger than Qi Yuanshan, so Qi Yuanshan showed more and more sympathy for this younger brother who came from a more remote mountain village. He was unable to make a living due to an earthquake and could not even bear to eat a full meal. This simple rural boy had already seen him as his own brother-even planned to get off the car and accompany him to the Public Security Bureau to get a replacement ID card.

Of course, Li Zhen politely declined his kindness.

After sleeping in the back of the chair and a bumpy night, Pingyang Passenger Station arrived.
