Chapter 195 Decoy

Vladimir Schleiden, a senior agent of ASCH. Two years ago, ASCH built a brand new facility in Gotham City, and Vladimir has been assigned to be the head of the place since then. Overall, his work is even more leisurely than when he was at the headquarters.

Today, he entered the office like every day in the past, opened the curtains, and sat at his desk. It was supposed to be a very ordinary day as usual, until a call came.

"This is Vladimir Schleiden." He answered the landline microphone and said.

"This is Eric Charlotte." The voice of a young man came from the other side of the microphone, "The wanted criminals you are looking for - if you remember."

Vladimir was shocked, but his reaction was quick. He immediately pressed the phone recording, turned on the hands-free and started reverse tracking and positioning. Although the staff of ASCHU was not in the headquarters, he of course knew the names of the two wanted criminals, especially now that Director Fry really wanted to arrest them.

"Why do you have a call here?" he asked calmly, thinking about how to buy time and wait for location.

"I have some friends who have got it for me."

"What do you want?"

The other party was silent for a while and suddenly asked, "Can I trust you, Mr. Schleiden?"

Vladimir was stunned. This problem was really strange for someone he had never met.

"It depends on the situation, kid," he said. "If I say it casually, it is undoubtedly irresponsible, and you know."

"It's true." Eric pondered for a moment, "To be honest, we are now in Gotham... but I was injured in the battle with the Avengers, very seriously injured. And we are being chased by others, and we have no choice... We decided to compromise and hope that Aegis can provide shelter."

Vladimir couldn't help but feel excited after hearing this. He quickly realized that this was his opportunity, an opportunity to make contributions. Of course, he was not an idiot. Even if he didn't know why the two fugitives were wanted and what their relationship was, he wouldn't believe the one-sided words on the phone so easily. But no matter what tricks the other party came to him, he would have a chance. No matter what tricks the other party was playing, he was just a middle school student. How could he have played an elite agent?

"I understand." Vladimir said calmly, "Of course it's good. If you are willing to surrender, ASCHU is willing to provide you with any protection."

"Very good, then in ten minutes, we will come under the bridge in Kingston District, and we will all wait here."

After saying that, the phone was hung up without waiting for a response.

"Hey? Wait..."

Vladimir tried to say something, but there was already a busy voice in the microphone. He glanced at the computer screen tracking the location, which showed "location failed".

Of course, it is impossible to say that there is no suspicion, but no matter what, there are only two options in front of him now - go or not.

After thinking about it for a while, Vladimir finally made up his mind. He quickly walked out of the office and began to gather people, and of course he did not forget to inform the department about the situation. After receiving the notice, Nick Fury meant that he would go to the appointment first, no matter what the other party had, at least he could not let them escape again. The Avengers had also arrived at Gotham as quickly as possible.

"Sir?" Just as he was busy summoning people, a man suddenly asked from behind him, "Is there something wrong?"

When Vladimir turned around, behind him was Clinton Patton, the top Agent of ASCHS, code-named Hawkeye. He happened to have arrived in Gotham on duty these two days, and it was just right in handy.

"Agent Patton." Vladimir said happily, "It's time to come, and we may need your help."

ASCHUAN, a floating carrier.

"What are this kid's ideas now?" Tony asked while putting on his armor.

"Don't know, but we have to go and see anyway." Captain America said, turning to Dr. Strange and said, "Doctor, can you teleport us to Gotham?"

Dr. Strange shook his head: "No, the magic resistance in Gotham City is very heavy, it is an ominous place, and my teleportation cannot be driven there. You guys are going this time, and the darkness in another dimension is becoming more and more uneasy. I must concentrate on dealing with it first."

"It sounds like we have to go in the original way." Ant-Man said.

Captain America glanced at everyone: "Avengers, go out!"

Ten minutes later, under the bridge in Gotham Kingston District.

The agents of ASCHUT have a strong sense of time. Eric said that in ten minutes, they really arrived on time in ten minutes. Two black cars were waiting in the open, while more agents were distributed in the surrounding environment, covering all possible surveillance points around.

However, no one came.

Vladimir tried to call back the number he had just called, but after a while, he prompted that the number he was dialing was an empty number and could not be dialed.

He felt a little suspicious - was that boy really just trying to make fun of them?

In fact, they missed something. Not all surveillance points have been included in them.

In a large shopping mall directly opposite the bridge, a giant screen billboard was hung in the direction of the overpass. The countless fan blades that formed the billboard were flipped regularly, switching the picture on the giant screen.

In fact, their surveillance was behind the billboard. Whenever the fan blades rotated regularly and exposed the gap, he had a peeking outward view in an instant, and monitored the situation of the people under the bridge through a single-hole telescope. The agents disguised as passers-by, reading newspapers, sitting in the car and dozing in their mouths, or leaning on the lamp posts, thought they were very hidden, but in fact they were all seen by him without any omissions.

He pressed the earphones in his ears and whispered: "They are here, Vladimir himself has arrived, and there are more people than I imagined. At this moment, there must be no one in his office, and the guards in the entire branch should be the weakest, but you better be careful..."

Before he finished speaking, a cold wind that made people's spine cold came from behind him. He almost subconsciously rolled sideways, and a sharp arrow rubbed past his cheek and pierced into the metal wall behind him.

It was Hawkeye. Among so many people, he was worthy of his title and saw through his disguise and found his hiding place. At this moment, he was standing at the end of the passage, facing the monitor from afar.

Hawkeye frowned slightly.

No, that wasn't Eric. The man in front of him was wearing a pitch-black uniform, with a blue flying eagle mark on his chest, and his cheekbones were covered by a black eye mask, but he still showed a compelling heroic spirit.

It's Nightwing.
