Chapter 10 The Destined Meeting

Roland was stunned for a moment and asked a little foolishly: "Fernando, you haven't arrived just now, President Rigg..."

Before he finished speaking, he saw Fernando rushing straight over him, like a violent hurricane sweeping across the earth, his bright red eyes wide open, expressing his anger without any concealment.

Douglas frowned slightly, then stretched out again, without saying hello to Fernando, but just watched him go down the stairs and head towards the secret room on the ground floor.

"Fernando!" Roland then woke up and shouted in a hurry, "Don't argue with President Rigg!"

Bang!

Fernando threw the secret door hard, letting it hit the door frame hard, isolating everything inside.

"What should I do? Fernando will anger President Rig!" Roland thought he could have foreseeed the next situation and looked at Douglas with help. Only when he had the strength and demeanor could the dispute end.

Douglas nodded: "If anything happens, I will stop it, but it is Fernando's right to express his opinions."

"But that's President Rig!" Roland couldn't understand Douglas's idea. He is a man with strong magical power, amazingly knowledgeable in all aspects, and has a keen insight into mathematics, but he has a weird way of thinking. Not only do he like to ask why, but some of his views are really unacceptable, unlike a magician with extremely rigorous relationship between superiors and inferiors.

Douglas just smiled and didn't say anything. At this moment, Fernando's roar came faintly from the secret room below, one wave higher than another, making Roland suspect that the wall would collapse.

He listened with his ears, trying to figure out what Fernando was roaring, but at this moment, the secret door slammed open, and the thin and stern Rig had a gloomy face, and strode out and stepped up the stairs.

"I am the president of the Peforth County Branch, and I have the right to do this. You don't need to judge it, you old man!" Fernando chased after him, his voice was extremely loud and full of energy.

Rigg paused and turned around, his voice as cold as he came from deep underground: "You are no longer!"

"So what? I still make the decision!" Fernando stared at Rigg fiercely.

"The mad dog that makes no sense..." Rigg muttered, turned around and continued to move up.

Fernando waved his arm: "Decayed old guy. Even if I was wrong, what does it have to do with Douglas? He just listened to the orders of me, the branch president, and he had no idea what the headquarters asked!"

Listening to their scolding, Roland was stunned. Although he always knew that Fernando had a bad temper and never feared anyone. He liked to sarcastically and scold, he never thought that he would roar like this with the vice president! This is the vice president! There are only three in the entire guild! Even if the president argues with them, he will be polite!

He originally planned to stop him, but as he listened, he suddenly understood Fernando's idea. He was not wronged because he was punished, because when he made the suggestion, he was mentally prepared to be scolded. At most, he planned to continue to argue with reason. He was angry and puzzled. Why did this matter drag down Douglas, so he tried his best to excuse Douglas.

At this time, Rigg just walked to Douglas, took a light breath, turned his head, and squeezed out a smile without a smile: "Douglas, I forgot to notify you just now, as the Nine Ring Master, you are qualified to participate in the core meeting in five days, so your trip to the 'Alinga' base is scheduled for next week."

"Okay." Douglas did not ask why Rig had forgotten, or why he had made the decision to invite him now, and nodded politely.

"Old guy, don't accept Douglas if you have the ability! There are many things that the organization wants the great wizard to join!" Fernando yelled unyieldingly.

With the legendary magician being unable to take care of himself, the Nine Rings Mage is already the highest combat power of each organization. There are only two magicians in the entire magician union, including the president Annold and vice president Rig. The remaining two vice presidents are only high-level 8th Rings magicians with hope of promotion. Of course, this is definitely not the case in the legendary organization "Palmela's Cabin".

Rigg snorted, unwilling to continue to quarrel with Fernando, and hurriedly crossed Roland and walked towards Old Green's room.

"Hmph, you old men are all in such a critical moment, and you still think about the rights and resources in your hands! When I was willing to join the guild, I was optimistic that you would eliminate suspicion and fairly integrate the concepts of other organizations and mages. Now, huh! High-level magicians don't lack organizations!" Fernando did not stop and roared at Rig's back again.

Roland's cold sweat came down instantly. He always took President Rigg as an example and thought he could understand the other party's ideas. He dared to say such words to Fernando in person, not to be afraid of being secretly retaliated afterwards?

If I can, I will definitely pretend not to hear it!

Rigg paused, then he walked faster and disappeared around the corner.

"Fernando, how can you speak like this?" Roland was anxious like an ant on a hot pan. "Aren't you afraid of being assigned a seemingly simple but very dangerous task?"

"Unless he can guarantee to kill me in one go! Otherwise, I will let him understand what the anger of the storm is!" Fernando said disdainfully, "And he and the president are not that harmonious."

Roland was stunned. Could it be that his friend seemed reckless and impulsive, but actually had something to rely on? Is his roar real or is it acting?

"No wonder you are not afraid of President Rigg..." he said in a low voice.

Fernando was stunned: "What does this have to do with fear or not? If it were the president, I would scold him like that!"

Well, it's the Fernando I know... Roland doesn't know if he feels relaxed or sad.

Fernando took a deep breath, cleaned his hair, and then said: "In such an era, we may die at the hands of black-pawed dogs or clergy at any time, so there is no need to be afraid of death. This is our common destiny and final outcome. If we are not afraid of death, then what are the presidents, vice presidents?"

Douglas kept listening to their conversation quietly, and smiled and interrupted, "Thank you."

"I just can't stand their injustice!" Fernando looked up at the mottled ceiling.

…………

In the next three days, Douglas and Fernando were not assigned a mission, but Roland was sent to do some contact matters.

Douglas and Fernando didn't mind this situation, and even felt that it was just right for their own ideas. The two kept communicating and thinking, and increasingly felt that the current magic system had irreparable flaws.

Although Fernando has always been in the position of listening and learning, he is genius, keen intuition, and has unusual insights into mathematics and many fields in magic. Occasionally speaking, he has brought new inspiration and ideas to Douglas, so the two of them are not blindly "teaching" and get along very happily.

In the hotel near the evening, the candlelight was dim and the handwriting on the draft paper was blurred. But Douglas and Fernando's eyes had solidified different spell effects, and the real darkness could be seen directly, so the two of them were casually eating honey grilled fish while communicating a calculation problem.

A middle-level mage listened curiously, and then quickly walked away dizzyly.

Suddenly, the half-closed door of the hotel was pushed open, and the cool breeze of the night blew in, dispelling the thick wet heat.

"Green, let's have two honey-grilled fish!" Before the person could come in, his bold voice shook the candlelight.

Roland, who had just returned and sat down, secretly complained that his roar was comparable to Fernando's roar.

Douglas and Fernando looked up at the same time. Is this the feeling of a Cavalier? Is it Green's friend?

Because of Green's relationship, many knights come and go here, which increases the risk factor for magicians to be discovered, but it also effectively blinds the church. Green will also carefully identify the knights. If a friend is strongly hostile to the magician or is more sensitive to the magic issue discussed, he will pretend to be angry and drive away the other party and break up with the other party - of course, if there is a knight in the hotel, he will also set up a sign outside. Let the magicians come in so that they will not expose the secret without any hindrance. If there is no sign, then the scene when Fernando brought Douglas to the arrival.

No one could guess that a knights gathered in private was the magician's contact transfer place!

Hearing this sound, the wooden wine glass that Green wiped with his hand fell onto the bar, and a muffled bang.

He stared at the door tightly, and the turbid dead green eye actually swept out circles of ripples, affecting the real ripples around him!

"Why are you here?" he said, signaling Douglas and Fernando to put away the draft paper.

"You don't want a title, just treasure, just to open such a hotel to sell honey-grilled fish? Did you give up the title of "Death Left Eye"?" A tall and strong man walked in at the door. He was wearing a close-fitting gray knight suit, with thick eyebrows and a raised nose bridge, as if he had a tumor growing. He seemed young, but if you observe carefully, you will find traces of the years, while his blue eyes were crystal clear and vibrant, like a young man in his prime at the age of seventeen or eighteen.

Behind him was a little girl of eleven or twelve years old, with delicate facial features, delicate and cute, but she was on the floor with a hard face without a smile.

She had bangs and her hair tied neatly, like an exquisite doll, holding a giant sword taller than her with both hands, and stumbled behind her.

What impressed her most was her silver-gray eyes, cold and sharp.

"Who is she?" Old Green spoke again, his voice full of doubt.

The young-eyed man smiled: "I am her knight teacher now."

The little girl tried hard to straighten her back, but the left foot that she stepped out hit her right foot, causing her who was already unbalanced to fall to the ground with a snap.

"Haha, walking is a problem, why are you still a knight attendant?" Fernando smiled owly.

The little girl lying on the ground still held the giant sword tightly, raised her head hard, and was entangled with her two delicate eyebrows, staring at Fernando angrily: "No one can walk, only learn!"

Well? Fernando didn't understand what it meant for a moment.

"Is it the descendant of that person?" Old Green's expression became very strange, both solemn and serious, and implicitly funny.

The man with beautiful eyes smiled helplessly: "Yes, I didn't expect it to be his child before... Okay, Hathaway, slowly get up, you will become stronger little by little."
