11, Chapter 11 Abyss Jackal II

"You attacked a man!" Evan looked at John as if he was looking at a monster, "The first rule of the Hunter, we cannot attack ordinary people!"

"I didn't attack him," John said easily, "just a joke, turning his teeth into tooth valley...toothpaste! Well, this time, I must be right. Toothpaste-flavored chocolate will be back in a day."

Evan's eyes were almost falling out.

Just when John thought he was about to start reciting the Hunter Code, Evan said incredibly: "This is impossible. No one can turn something casually... into another thing he had just seen! Unless he knew clearly the material composition of both!"

"Get it, man," said John, "I don't call 'nobody, thank you."

"How did you do it?"

"Do you want to learn?" John turned his head and showed a dazzling and bright smile.

Evan nodded foolishly.

John pressed his hat down and walked forward without hesitation: "I won't teach you, you will violate the first rule of the Hunter Code."

Evan: “…”

The path became narrower and narrower, and the plants became denser and denser. The colors of the thick fog around them were getting closer and closer to black, as if they were about to stick to people's skin, and their vision became narrower and narrower.

The heavy breathing of some animal came from the depths of the thick fog, hitting the human heart one by one. Evan felt that his breathing became difficult. He tried to distract himself a little, so he turned his head to observe his partner John.

I don’t know why, but seeing him will always make people feel more at ease.

In order to avoid the increasingly dense plants, John bent over slightly, the action made the injuries on his chest and abdomen very sad. From Evan's perspective, his exposed chin and lips became extremely pale again, and his breathing was almost impossible to hear.

"Don't look at me," John said softly, "care at the foot."

He didn't say it was okay, but Evan lowered his head and his legs became weak - there were blood-red lines on the ground, exactly the same as the one wrapped around the girl, which was simply terrifying.

As soon as Evan's legs were weak, he fell straight down in the position of the horse lying down.

"Oh no!" John quickly reached out to take it. The action was too big, and the wound caused his arm to froze. In addition, his good brother Evan... he really had a strong body as strong as a beauty pageant, so the result was that they both fell to the ground together, and the red lines were immediately alarmed, and they were wrapped around them from all directions, tangled around them.

"That's great," John said dryly, "I've experienced this for the first time."

"Now, what's wrong now?" Evan asked.

"We fell into the Abyss Jackal's plate-" John said, "No, no, no! Don't be dizzy! At least don't do it now! Please, man!"

Evan used his energy to restrain his desire to turn his eyes, and rolled his throat with difficulty, asking, "Then...what should we do now?"

"I don't know," John shrugged, saying with joy, "I have never rolled into the hunting area of the abyss jackal because of a big horse."

"..." Evan couldn't see anything worth entertaining at all.

"Get up, you pressed my calves." John pushed him, "Well, there is no one here anyway. Since it has been discovered, why don't we fight."

He habitually reached out and touched his waist, but he felt empty. John sighed, forgetting that his heavy sword could not follow him, and he was really not used to it.

He turned around and asked Evan: "By the way, do you have anything to use as a weapon?"

The question was so sharp that Evan's feet became weak and he fell back to the ground.

John burst into laughter, apparently, his bad joke succeeded.

However, the next moment, his smile suddenly stopped. Evan could hardly see what was going on. He felt that the surroundings were suddenly surrounded by thick white fog. The fog was too thick, and even the figure of John who was close at hand became blurred. Then a very bright light almost blinded his eyes.

Evan opened his eyes desperately, and saw a water arrow suddenly rushed out of the lake not far away, as if guided by something, straight into John's hand, and quickly condensed into an ice sword. Almost at the same time, John turned sideways without hesitation, and swung hard to his right rear. A hoarse roar of a beast sounded directly above Evan's head. He saw a gray shadow flashing from there, and disappeared into the depths of the thick fog in a flash.

Lightning.

A few drops of warm liquid fell on his face, and Evan reached out to wipe it, his face covered in fishy blood, and his face turned black with purple.

"Come again if you have the kindness!" John casually threw away the purple-black blood on the tip of the sword, "You drooling mangy dog!"

The red lines on Evan's body had disappeared, but he didn't notice it, just stared at John blankly, and a burst of blood suddenly rose in his heart.

"This...this is so handsome," he murmured.

The thick white fog disappeared, but the dark green breath kept wandering around. John stood there quietly with the ice sword condensed from the lake, judging the next move of the abyss jackal, Evan climbed up with his hands and feet: "What's wrong now? That, that..."

"Hide." John said softly, looking down at his coat that had been torn apart.

Evan's eyes fell on his coat. For the moment of the confrontation, the abyss jackal cut open John's coat, and the torn hole just broke the magic circle drawn with clear water in half.

"The magic circle was destroyed?" Evan said.

"Although clear water is pure, it has no power and is not a suitable medium. Slight tear can make it invalid."

You should know that not everyone can draw a magic circle with clear water...

"So its function disappeared?" Evan asked in confusion for a moment, "but you told me that its function hides something, and now its function disappears, so it...I mean that the abyss jackal was hiding, right? Is it because you made it feel scared?"

John glanced at him without any objection: "No, my brother, this is a kind of greedy Defu. It will never give up any prey to his mouth, but... I'm afraid it will play something real."

"Varied……"

"Ah--" A scream baptized the eardrums of the two men. Evan turned his head and found that it was the girl wrapped in scarlet thread like a silkworm. She had woken up at some point.

"She can't see those red lines, right? Just like those people on the road."

"Oh, I'm afraid I'm not." For some reason, Evan felt that John seemed a little gloating, "No one is more qualified to see the knife poked at it than the roast chicken lying on a plate, right?"

"Who did this? Who?" the girl screamed, "Abnormal! Freak! I will make you look good! I promise! Who will help me... help me and get these damn things down!"

Evan glanced at John blankly: "We should go and help her."

"It doesn't matter," John waved his hand indifferently, "She won't die. Our job is to deal with the one she said..., what?, the womb?"

Evan: “…”

He always felt that John was laughing at the girl tied into a ball of red thread and jumping around in place, and was a little... unkind, and his expression was like a bad boy who had just tied someone else's tires.

However, John's smile was still hanging on the corner of his mouth, but the ice sword in his hand was raised again. He glanced at Evan with his eyes that seemed to be glowing and looked as if they were even more amazingly green, and said softly: "Come."

Before he finished speaking, the thick fog that had retreated was once again covered, and the ground under his feet began to move violently. The already gray sky was covered with thick clouds. With the girl's hysterical scream, Evan felt that his adrenaline was soaring that he was almost endocrine disordered!

John blocked the ice sword in front of his chest. I don't know if it was because of the wound. His back was slightly bent, but it was tightly stretched. From the side, it looked like a string that could be broken at any time. The brim of the hat was pressed low on his slightly floating hair, as if suppressing the onset of conflict.

He asked, “Do you know what 'world' is?”

"Know, know." Evan said quickly, "'world' is a special space that only the powerful Difu can support. In this case, even if the talent of the Light is suppressed, Difu's own power will reach its peak."

"Don't memorize, kid." John muttered, "Why has the textbook not changed after a thousand years?"

Evan took a deep breath and said with a bitter face: "I have already felt the effect of this thing, and I can't even move my hands and feet."

John looked at him in surprise: "As far as I know, the 'world' of known types of 'defus' does not have the effect of missing out on people's arms and legs. Are you actually scaring yourself, right?"

Huh? Evan was stunned. Really, after learning the news, his stiff and numb hands and feet seemed to have been liberated and came back to life!

A wild beast roared in shock. Evan opened his mouth wide and looked up, and saw a pair of huge eyes with a diameter of two meters suddenly appearing in the sky. A rotten smell floated over. The thing took a step forward and allowed him to see the whole picture clearly.

It was a jackal as tall as a few floors, looking as vulgar as his close relative of the jackal on earth. It moved forward step by step, with saliva dripping down the corners of its mouth.

Evan had already developed some confidence in his partner. He even picked up an iron pipe left behind in construction, held it in his hand and waved it, shouting in the roar of the beasts shaking the mountains, "We have not learned how to deal with the abyss jackals. Do you have any secrets?"

John held his forehead - this unlucky child is really inappropriate. It’s time, and it’s the secret to shorts!

He pushed Evan, who was jumping against him with a provocative boxing step, and shouted in his ear: "Don't run!"

Evan was a little silly at his voice, waving his ridiculous tube, turning his head and staring at John blankly.

John grabbed his collar, and the two of them ran along the lake, heading towards the opposite direction of the struggling girl. After taking foaming agent, the abyss jackal, who had been swelling countless times, was chasing behind him. Every step it took, the ground was deeply sinking into the boundless darkness.

This is probably the origin of the name "Abyss Jackal".

Evan felt that he hadn't run through the temple physical fitness test so hard, and his lungs were squeezed out of his chest!

John's footsteps suddenly stopped, and the ice sword in the man's hand emitted a strange blue light. He opened his hands and the hat on his head had long been blown away by the wind. His long hair was blown away by the wind and flew up. However, the sound of his chanting seemed very low, with a rhythm that seemed to come from ancient time and space.

Evan had never heard of it, but felt the power in each word. The lake behind him rolled violently, and a wall of water appeared behind them, and then condensed into ice at the speed of light, forming a step-by-step shape. John jumped up without hesitation and said to Evan: "Come on!"

The two of them ran up the ice stairs quickly. Evan was always unaware of the trick, and his feet kept slipping. The ground that the abyss jackal stepped on was all trapped in the unknown abyss in the dark. They had no place to settle except the ice.

In a blink of an eye, the two of them had already run to the middle of the lake. The big pile of dead dogs were still drooling behind them, but John suddenly groaned, staggered, and almost fell to his knees. Evan held him and found that one of his hands was pressing tightly on the lower part of his heart, and a sporadic red color had already been soaked out of his clothes.

Evan gasped, and John quickly grabbed the coat and wrapped his chest, preventing him from seeing the blood on his body.

"Hold this, hold this!" John's breathing was a little quick, and he stuffed the bone-breathing ice sword into Evan's hand. When the ice sword touched Evan's palm, it suddenly grew five or six meters long, and suddenly became heavy, almost pressing the young man to a big horse.

John pressed his blood-stained hand on the ice at an invisible angle. In an instant, the ice surface quickly condensed into a narrow path that was invisible and swirled up into the sky like a spiral: "Follow this path, don't stop, I let you jump down, and you jump down from above."

"What, what?"

"Listen to me," John roared in a low voice, "Water is pure and fragile. The body of the Abyss Jackal is too strong. In its 'world', I can only freeze it for a moment. I will draw his sight away. When I freeze it, I need you to jump from the high place, and use the power of the high place to poke this ice sword into its neck. I will catch you, believe me!"

Evan wanted to cry without tears. He believed in John, but he did not believe in himself. Looking at the path that was as narrow as a foot, he only felt that it was a direct elevator to heaven...

Like the King Kong in the movie, the Abyss Jackal broke through one ice layer after another set of John, and approached them step by step.

Countless arrows of ice flew up from the lake, John's face was as pale as a ghost, but he didn't hit the beast at once, just as Gal said - its movements were so fast that human eyes could hardly capture.

"Go!" John pushed Evan's shoulder hard.

Evan staggered - no matter how soft he was, he would die, he said to himself.

Then he suddenly screamed, and the tendons on his neck burst out, his face stretched black and purple, and rushed towards the circling ice stairs.
